Can not preview Folio on desktop anymore

Geez, after the last update of the DPS tools, the preview folio from the File menu does nothing (that is: it builds the folio but then stops, no Content Viewer is launched) nor can I make preview on desktop work: I get a 'Content Viewer not found' message.
How Can I get this to work again? DPS v23, CS6, Mac...

Downloaded the stand alone installer from the download site, re-installed. Works now! (However: the AIR installer got stuck in a loop, starting over and over again trying to install over and over again, had to hard restart my Mac...)

Hi Shada this can happen if you are including additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you are doing this the installer has to include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder it updated MAX, so when your installer is trying to Include MAX, its asking for the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.
Here you can cache the information so its not asked again, or you can download a newer version fo DAQmx, so it will update MAX and change de dependecy.

Look, you can build an HD DVD with an SD movie, just as you can build an SD DVD with an HD movie. This is not a bug, it is most likely user error. Apple will not be addressing it.
Just start over, and ensure you are building an SD DVD by bringing up the inspector for the disc (click on the background in the Graphical tab).
Make sure SD DVD is selected:
(If you do the same thing on your ill fated project, you'll see that HD DVD is selected)
Build your DVD and you'll be fine.

P.S. You will need to google HD DVD and Blu-Ray if you want to understand the difference between the formats. The reason that DVDSP included HD DVD was that its format was similar to SD DVD's. Blu-Ray is something else entirely.

I have rerun the applications install dvd, but it has not corrected the fault. When I try to open iphoto's I have an error message that says You can’t open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto.

the version you installed from the DVD is probably older than the version you used last with your library, so you need to update to the last version you used.
I have tried to update to the latest iphoto 11 but it wont download. Any answers please.
Where are you trying to download from? When you upgrade a version that is installed from the DVD, you need to update from the Software Update menu entry in the Apple-menu.
Also, iPhoto has to be called simply "iPhoto", not iPhoto '11 or something similar and to be installed in the Applications folder. Otherwise it will not be recognised by the updater.

Are they daisy chained? Have you tried them one at a time? Have you tried a different FireWire cable? Do they show up in either system profiler or Disk Utility? Have you reset the SMC? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

Can not use any remote desktop like VNC after installing Oracle Linux 6.3

I just installed OL 6.3 on a HP Proliant ML380 g7. Now I want to connect to the server using any Remote Desktop tools but I can not!
I've activated system>pref>Remote Desktop
But I can not access any of servers from:
- a Mac using, Mac server sharing screen, VNC viewer or Microsoft Remote connection which is in a same subnet
- Other Server Using KRDC, Remote Desktop Viewer, terminal server client or tiger VNC viewer
Also I tried to connect to servers after activating krfb
but it always says no rout to server/ server not found/ connection closed
and remote desktop viewer can not find any host when I try to use option "find"

Make sure to enable "require a password..." in the Remote Desktop Preference on the Linux system. Some clients won't work unless this is set. Unfortunately the Remote Desktop Preferences panel on the Linux side does not show you the port it is listening on, but you can get it by clicking on the IP or name that it shows as a link. The first user or vnc server is usually listening on port 5900, then 5901, and so on.
Your problem is probably the firewall on your Linux system. You can disable the firewall on the Linux system:
service iptables stop
However, probably a better idea, simply tunnel the connection through SSH as following:
On the Mac, open the Terminal application from the Applications/Utilities folder. Then type the following:

ssh -L local_port:localhost:remote_port -N -f -l username server_address
</pre>
local_port = port on your Mac that does not conflict with any of your own screen-sharing or other services, e.g. 5555
remote_port = vnc server port on your Linux system
username = user for which you have enabled remote desktop sharing
server_address = ip address or FQDN of your Linux system.
For instance:

ssh -L 5555:localhost:5900 -N -f -l root 10.0.1.2
</pre>
The trick is now to connect to a local port on your Mac, instead using the address of your Linux server. The communication will be encrypted using ssh going over tcp port 22, which is normally enabled in the firewall.
The Mac screen sharing application is working fine. On your Mac, select "Go>Connect to Server" from the Finder menu and type:
vnc://localhost:5555

My new update to FF version 33 is installed LOCKED in full screen and I can not get to my desktop

I use a HDMI TV as a monitor. When I upgraded to ver 33.02(?), it locked in FULL SCREEN and my TV/Monitor is not adjustable so the option at the top "EXIT FULL SCREEN" is not showing or available and must be rolled off the top.
I can not find any way to get out of it in the new release 33.02(?) and now am using IE for this post as this full screen makes FF almost inoperable.
If necessary, I would be glad to permanently disable the full screen for FF as it is a real pain.

Win svr 2008 r2 ent - user can not log into remote desktop after installing march's 2015 important updates

we installed march's 2015 important updates onto all of our servers. three of our servers are not allowing RDP.
these servers have windows server 2008 r2 enterprise sp1 installed.
we enter in the username and password in the rdp dialog box and click on ok. the rdp dialog box comes back for us to enter in the username and password.
we do have kb3046049 and kb3002657 installed.
is there a v2 of kb 3002657 for windows server 2008 r2 enterprise?
on one of the servers
1. I disabled rdp
2. stop and start the following services
remote desktop configuration
remote desktop services
remote desktop services usermode port redirector
remote procedure call
3. enabled rdp
4. added the users allowed to rdp into server
This allowed us to RDP into that box with the username and password.
But the other two servers the steps performed above did not work.
Any solutions for Win Svr 2008 R2 enter sp1?

Flash cs5.5 can not preview or debug

working on an app for android and suddenly I can no longer preview or debug.
As soon as it is done exporting swf it closes, with no errors and not showing the preview window.
All it says is
[SWF] myProject.swf - 1369232 bytes after decompression
[UnloadSWF] myProject.swf
Debug session terminated.
The traces show that it executed all the startup code.
At the end of the startup code i added trace(System.totalMemory) which showed 13770752 to see if it would help find the problem.
Tried other projects and they all previewed well.
I have no idea and the all mighty google could not help.

I'm not sure how to close my discussion but I did find the solution to my problem... When I did the download from my hosting provider, I inadvertently added the host's .htaccess file to my local folder. Oops. Deleted the .htaccess and we were back in business.
