  • Can't Publish Photos from iPhoto to Facebook

For the last month or so I've been unable to share my iphotos on facebook.  As I've always done, I highlight my photos and click the Facebook icon on the bottom right.  Then I am asked if I want to publish my photos but the little 'publish' button doesn't respond as it is not lit so I am blocked except to cancel or change accounts (which I really don't want to do).  [I did have some trouble with facebook awhile ago but it had nothing to do with this problem and it was finally resolved after I was made to change a bunch of passwords].  Please, please -- I need help.

Try removing and re-adding your FaceBook account from iPhoto (don't worry this will not affect your FB online.)
From the iPhoto menu select Preferences and click on the Accounts tab at the top.
Select your Facebook account and click the button at the bottom with a minus sign "-".
Click the plus sign "+" and add the account again. Make sure you use the correct email and password.
Test and see if it works now.
    Best of luck.

  • Problem publishing photos from iPhoto to Facebook

I just recently updated to ios5 and can no longer publish photos from iPhoto to Facebook.  The "publish" button is grayed out.  Anyone else had this problem??  Any solutions?

I have the same problem...just happened because I have never had problems until today.  I finally ended up going to my profile, clicked on Photos on the left side of the page and then I selected Make a New Album.  It brought up a list of choices where I wanted to get pictures from...like Desktop, or iPhoto, so I selected iPhoto and the pics came up and I scrolled down to the pics I had just recently uploaded to iPhoto and a new album was created on my profile and on the home page.
I liked being able to send them directly from iPhoto to FB but at least this way I can get them on FB.

Thanks "Old Toad" .... I tried what you suggested: I erased the email accounts, re-booted, re-entered the email settings and changed the the email client to Mail (instead of iPhoto). I still have the message " email server didn't recognize your username/password combination"...... so frustrating and probably something so simple..... but I can't figure it out! I did clean-up everything, cookies/cashes, I did a "Safe Boot", just in case.... still not able to send email via iPhoto, instead I have to drag the photo from iPhoto onto the desktop then attach it to an email.... way too many steps!!!!
And what email client are you using in the successful (if too many step) process?

  • How can I upload photos from IPhoto to Facebook?

How do I upload photos from IPhoto into my Facebook account?

I am unable to upload photos to Facebook on my iPad Air and my iPhone 5s since I updated my devices to iO/S8. I hope Apple comes up with a fix pretty soon. I love iPhoto and would not like to resort to using something like Amizon Cloud Drive. Not unless I had to because iPhoto is not working with Facebook..

  • I can't share photos from iPhoto to Facebook

When I try to share a photo from my library on my laptop to facebook, it tells me to login to do so, but when I login with my facebook account email and password, it tells me there is an error...is there any way to fix this?

I made sure that in "System Preferences" the "Photo" option is selected, as well as "Photo Sharing".
And are the same option enabled in the "iPhoto > iCloud"  preferences?  You can only share from one iPhoto library at a time. If you switch between iPhoto libraries, the Photo Stream will be disabled in the new library.

The folks in the iPhoto community forum wait for questions like this. In any case from iPhoto select your photos. Then select export. Navigate to your USB sick and that's it.

I can't upload my photos from iPhoto to facebook.  The "publish" button is grayed out.  I was able to do it in the past.  Help! Thank you.

I try to order the album of my wedding and can't upload it on the final step after having complete everything.
Is it too big ? what can be the issue ?
What happens when you try to upload the album? Are there any error messages?
Which iPhoto version are you using?
Are you ordering from the correct Print Products Store for your country?  Check the settings in iPhoto > Preferences > Advanced:

The window doesn't automatically pop up now. When you plug the card reader in, you should see a 4th option on the lower bar of the photos app. I think it says camera. Tap on that then you can see and inport your photos.
If you are still having issues, try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again. It won't hurt any data but can clear gliches.

Have you added your Facebook account in the "iPhoto Preferences > Accounts?  If yes, try to add it again.

That is FaceBook software and the way it works.

You can  wait a day before you post a second photo,
or create your own album which only includes 1 photo/ album

  • I can't move photos from iPhoto to my secondary hard drive or to a burn folder.  I have never had a problem with this before.  This is something new.   They will not drop into either folder.  Nothing happens.

I can't move photos from iPhoto to my secondary hard drive or to a burn folder.  I have never had a problem with this before.  This is something new.   They will not drop into either folder.  Nothing happens.
I checked my secondary harddrive and there is plenty of memory.
I emptied my burn folder but the photos still will not drop into it.
I created a new burn folder, no luck with this either.
230 photos is the maximum size of the events I am trying to move from iPhoto to save elsewhere.
I have shut down and restarted my computer.   No change. The photos still will not drop out of iPhoto.
My Mac Computer Storage shows that I have 62.2GB free out of 249.2GB (movies, photos and contacts taking up the most space)
My Lacie External Harddrive (2TB capacity) shows that I have 1.79TB available.  It shows that 207,729,520,640 bytes (207.73 GB on disk) are used.
I have never had this problem before.  It is usually very easy to move my photos from iPhoto.
I am not a computer expert (I work in surgery so don't have a need for lots of computer knowledge) so please explain in simple terms.
Thank you so much for any help you can provide.
    I really appreciate it.

YES Terence!  Thank you. Exporting allowed me to move my photos from iPhoto into the Burn Folder on my desktop.   But that doesn't explain why I'm having to go that route now.   Have I done something (accidentally changed some setting) on my computer that will not allow me to just click and drag anymore?   I really liked the convenience of the click and drag option.
I don't have the time tonight to export and burn a lot of CD/DVDs.  I'll try that tomorrow and make sure my photos are moving properly.  I also need to export photos to my external hard drive to make sure that route is working.
Wouldn't you know that my Apple Care Plan runs out this Wednesday?!  I need to make sure everything is working properly before that expires.
Thank you so much for your help.   I really, really appreciate it.
