If you have a balance available from redeeming a gift card, make sure there are sufficient funds available > Account Home - Apple Store

Are you listing the billing address for the card correctly? The address in the iTunes/MAS account must match the address on your bill exactly.

I can't download anything from app store and ibook , when I download something it keeps waiting and nothing happen I tried 3G and wifi and the same problem
I tried to rest all the settings and nothing happened

Try resetting the App Store.
Reset Learned from Old Toad
and you can try:
- Sign out of the App Store (in the Store menu)
- Quit the App Store
- In Finder - Go>Go to folder... (or Apple-shift-G)
- Paste in the following "~/Library/Caches/ "
- It will take you to a folder. Delete com.apple.appstore
- Launch the App Store.

IWork upgrade when not purchased originally from App Store?

I have iWork purchased originally on a disc from BestBuy in 2011 with my MBP. Now when I try to upgrade to the new Pages, Numbers and Keynote, it tells me that they were not purchased in the App store, so I would have to buy them. Is this true? I do already own them, why should it matter WHERE I purchased them?
Oops. Didn't realize this was in iOS. Should not be. I don't think I can move it.

I can not load application from app store

I just bought a new Iphone and when I try to upload new free applications (ex Solitaire) on my Iphone from app store, it does not work.
The little icone appears, with loading at the bottom, and then nothing happen (no blue line to show the update progressing) ... after a while the icone desappear .
Any Idea why and what I could do to fix the issue ?

I was looking for articles to try and resolve your specific issue, and came across an article that I think will help to resolve your issue. Its called The iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant found here: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/application/.
I would start at the first step and verify your iPad meets the requirements for the game:
Verify iOS requirements
Make sure the app is compatible with your iPhone software:
Check the requirements in the App Store.
Check your iOS version using Settings > General > About.
If the app requires a newer version of the iOS than the one you are using, update iOS on your iPhone.
If it comes to step 3, Close app, I recommend closing ALL the apps not just the app store.

Can't Purchase anything in App Store, Additional Security Information Needed

I am trying to make a purchase from the App Store in Snow Leopard 10.6.8, but can't make any purchases. When I try to purchase, I get the message, "Additional security information is needed. To use this Apple ID you must first login to the my info web page then provide additional security information." But when I click on Update Security Info, it brings me to a page at https://myinfo.apple.com/ but the page will not load, and it says that Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server. I have also tried it in Firefox and it does not work there either.
I went to the Apple Store online, and updated my account info with the proper credit card and information, but it has not helped. What is going on here.
This is for my bosses account and not my account, and we need to purchase some software for this machine, but are completely unable.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having the same issue. We have recently signed up for the Volume Purchase Program. I created the Facilitator account, logged into the VPP site, then got a message that additional information was needed.
When I click the link to "Update Security Info", I get an error page on the browser...
I have tried the same process in Firefox and received a similar message...
I then proceeded to try the same thing on a Windows 7 computer with Internet Explorer, no good...
Next, I thought the problem might be related to my firewall, so, I attempted it on a computer OUTSIDE the firewall, no good.
Then, I tried it from home on my ipad, no good...
Anyone have any ideas?

Can't download anything from App Store - MacBook

I've been using Windows 7 exclusively on my MacBook via Boot Camp for several years. I've since deleted the Windows partition. I ran a Software Update and am currently running OS X 10.6.8. I want to upgrade OS X further but can't download Yosemite (or anything) from the App Store. I click "get" and the button becomes unclickable but nothing happens. I also can't open iTunes.
I don't have anything on this computer that needs to be saved so I'm more than willing to restore, though I don't know how.

I'm having the exact same issue in the exact same situation.
I'm getting the error below in Console every time I try to install or download anything from the App Store. I suspect this has something to do with Safari and some Javascript code being used by Appstore pages.
I wish there was a direct link to download Yosemit. I'm stuck now...

Can not download PowerPoint from App Store

Purchased the Microsoft office 365 apps. Downloaded excel and word with no issues. Tried to download PowerPoint for the last three days with the same results. Receive prompt that already purchased this product and that it will now download with any additional charges? The icon then changes to the cloud symbol without downloading the app. Any ideas why?

Oddly, I tried this morning to update xcode and it started updating without asking for my app store credentials. Maybe there was a server side authentication issue last night?

Apple ID password not working and can't purchase anything on App Store

I've been trying to buy different apps and everytime I put in my password and keep going with my credit card info it times out.
I finally got my iPhone 5 to sync with itunes 10.7 and now my phone won't let me finish restoring bc when I sign using my apple ID and password to finish setting up iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime it comes up with an error "Could Not Sign In The request time out."
HELP!

You need to contact Apple, either through the link in that article or by phoning them and asking for the Account Security team.

Ok, so I figured it out. I checked my iPhone and it was having the same trouble. So I went to settings (on the iPhone and iPad) selected store and logged out of the store. Then on my computer, I logged in to iTunes. I went to buy something (a free item...doesn't have to cost anything) and it prompted me to update the payment info (essentially needed to add the security code to my credit card). Then I gave it a minute or two to process...just in case. Logged back in to my iPhone and iPad and everything is back to normal.
Glad it's working, but they should really fix that issue on the mobile devices. Luckily I have iTunes on a computer, so don't have that (they only have the iPad...which they wouldn't be able to update).

Does anyone else have any information with this issue? I was told there is a server problem that only affects users with 10.6.8. As I said, I can't even download a free app let alone anything else.
I click an app and I get the icon to download or install but it just sits there forever and does nothing.
I sure hope they fix this soon as I am dead in the water with trying to recover a major hard drive disaster!
