  • I can not open Airport utility on my iMac after updating to maverick 10.90.4

I can not open Airport utility on my iMac after updating to maverick 10.9.4 . Error Message:[You can’t use this version of the application “AirPort Utility.app” with this version of OS X. You have "Airport Utility.app"5.4.2] It also will not allow me to install "airport Utility 6.3. Does anybody has a fix for this?

Re-run Software Update and see if there is a newer version of Airport Utility. I suspect your router or iMac may be too old to use Airport Utility 6.3 . As a work- around if Software Update does not work then try reading this article and see if the suggested solution help you.

I just updated my iTunes on my PC. And now I can't seem to sync my iPad with my updated iTunes... Help!!, I just updated my iTunes on my PC. And now I can't seem to sync my iPad with my updated iTunes... Help!!

Go into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTUnes, Apple mobile device service, apple application support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes.
There seems to be a glitch with the update where it doesn't seem to get everything updated so you need to get rid of it all and start fresh. This is just the programs, it won't affect your data. (as in when I did it it didn't touch my iTunes library)

  • Locked out of phone, can't restore factory settings

my iPhone 4 is seized up and I can't restore because it won't let me enter my passcode. This occurred after I accidentally enabled the voice-over and tried to turn that function off. After repeatedly turning phone off, then on, it still occurs. The voice-over remains on, and when I try to enter my passcode, it doesn't take my input unless I tap the number several time until the field/cell is populated.  Once I enter all cells with my passcode, the phone says that the code is incorrect and locks me out for progressively longer periods.  Since I can't unlock the phone, I'm unable to restore factory settings.  Of course I would like to not have to do this since I don't want to lose all the data on my phone.  Does anyone know how i can unlock the phone and/or restore it?

Thank You very Much sir. it works on my iphone 4.

Is there any other solution to restore factory settings??
It will work definitly. But turn off the phone first and make sure you push all three buttons tight and turn on the phone. You have to keep them pressed until handshaking logo or pin enter is appear. I have use it so many time since my beloved 6600.

  • IOS 7: Can I restore factory settings through iTunes?

My wife dropped her iPad 2 and shattered the screen. We are going to upgrade rather than fix it. I would like to get a few bucks for the old one, but I don't want to sell it unless I can wipe everything off of it first. Even if I can't sell it, I don't want to trash it unless I can wipe it clean. Is there no longer an option to restore to factory settings through iTunes? I can't use the settings app because the screen is broken.

I have one word for you: Sledgehammer.  Won't have to be concerned about security after that.
It wipes and disposes at the same time.

  • Auto open/close option not visible in settings on iPad mini

We have a new iPad mini running iOS 7.0.4 Noticed that the auto switch on/off function was not working. What is more confusing is that in settings there is not the option to switch it on/off. Any ideas?

The problem does not relate to the Auto-Lock facility but the Lock/Unlock facility when you close and open the iPad cover. It is nothing to do with cover itself but under Settings/General you should have four options in a box:
    Auto-Lock
    Passcode Lock
    Restrictions
    Lock / Unlock
The Lock / Unlock option is not there at all so you cannot switch it on or off!

  • Restore factory settings for Ipad 2

My IPad 2 is frozen with the image of Itunes and a USB cable.  The iPad is not recognised when I plug it into my laptop and pressing the home key and power key does not work.Any help would be appreciated.

It's Not frozen. You need to set it up. The screen is trying to tell you to connect the iPad to iTunes on your computer. Make sure you download and install the latest version of iTunes first. Read the manual, too.

  • Safari not work for iPad mini after updated to ios 6.1.3

After updated to ios 6.1.3, Safari just not response. I cannot input any web address. Do anyone has this problem? Do anyone know how to solve it?

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • I can not restore my ipod! I downloaded the update yesterday

and all my tracks began to skip so I decided to restore the settings and start afresh. However every time I try to restore it it has an error either unknown error 1611 or error -19. Or it says itunes cannot connect to this iphone because an unknown error occurred 0xE8000065. Is there anything I can do to get it to work again. I can't even get it to respond.

i cant restore it because my brothers friend changed the password and it locked me out....
is there anyway to get around that?

  • HT201263 Cannot restore ipad mini after update on configurator

Please help!  I have tried restoring from itunes 3 times and each time it gets to the end, says it's processing the file and then jumps back to the ipad recovery mode....

    Further to my question.
I am able to do a restore.  Takes 15 or more minutes and reboots but then I get the same response when I try to restore what should be a 14.5GB backup.  Everything appears to restore properly so I should expect that I would easily have enough room to do the "Restore from this backup:"
Do I have to initialise something or do some steps first?  it seems to want me to setup my wifi and other details but I should be able to do the backup as that is what it is for.
The exact wording of the error:
"iTunes could not restore the ipad "Nichole's iPad" becasue not enough free space is available on the iPad."
I only have the option of saying "OK"
