Can not Scale Objects

Hi folks. I have an odd issue I can't find a solution for (obviously), even searching the forums and google. I can select all objects in my drawing, I can see that the bounding has selected all objects - but I can not scale them.
I'm using Adobe CS3, Mac G5 platform

Don't forget the Scale tool (S). You can use it whether you use bounding boxes or not.
Double-click on the tool or option-click on the scaling origin to get the dialogue window.

There is a conflict with third party software or your system keyboard shortcuts. Lately, there have been many postings about conflicts with Chrome extensions so check there first.

My mouse freezes in adobe muse can not move objects

the problem is that my mouse after a few minutes it freezes and will not let me move objects.
this happens with adobe muse 2014.2
and the worst is that my file can not be opened with earlier versions ( help)

I think this is a bug in the new update. I have made numerous sites since and all of them have gotten the horiztonal scroll. I mentioned it in the bug section and had a staff member help me with my first issue but have not heard anything else since.
This is a pretty serious bug, you can not launch a website with a horizontal scroll like this.

Illustrator v18.1.1 can't scale objects with pointer

as of today, jan 19, 2014, using the object selection tool I cannot scale objects either individually or as a group! aaargh! it's a fairly necessary feature, anyone else having this issue?

It was gone, everything was working fine last week, but today it seems to be broken again, the only change seems to be an update to the Creative Cloud libraries, surely that wouldn't screw it all up!

Profibus card program has 429 ActiveX component can not create object

I have a Profibus card (DF_PROFI_II DP). It was working fine on an old PC. Our IT department need to upgrade PC to a new one, and now I can not get it to work on the new PC.
Both PCs run windows XP. I tried driver for original CD which is 1.32.1 and I tried a downloaded driver 1.35.0. In both cases, windows can recognize the hardware. However when I tried to run Configurator II, the program always shows a message like below:

If the error happens as soon as you start the configurator I would think there is a conflict between different versions of the configurator.
Could you go ahead and remove the board from your PC, uninstall all Comsoft components from your machine. Sometimes that might be not only the driver but also the configurator.
Then go ahead and delete the Comsoft folder, reboot and install the 1.36.2 driver.
Then install the detect the board again and try the configurator.

A guess based on your description is that you have come across the Live Rectangle bug which is limited to the MAC versions starting with 10.7 and 10.8, but not 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite).
So a switch to Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstallation might be the way to solve it here and now.
To get round it in each case, it is possible to Expand the Live Rectangles to get normal old fashioned rectangles, or to Pathfinder>Unite, or to use the Scale Tool.
A more permanent way round that is to create normal old fashioned rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

Can not JavaScript objects in Java project

I have CMP managed java project that I am trying to create a menu for. Each time I create a new javascript object I am getting the error "objectname is undefined". Below is a code snipset followed by the error message I get when I try displaying the jsp.

I didn't get a clear picture of your question. Any way try this.
1) make sure that menu.js is in the same directory as your jsp file. if it is not give the proper path.
2) what is this MENU_ITEMS, and MENU_POS. instead of it try with integers

ActiveX Component Can Not Create Object

Obviously, this error is not rare and not limited to Adobe. What is troubling about this one for me is that it happens so inconsistently. I'm programming in VS2005/VB.net. The application receives incoming faxes in TIF format and converts them to PDFs.
The files get routed through our company and at two points the PDF files get watermarks added. There is a single procedure that applies both watermarks. The error is never generated on the first call and happens less than 25% of the times on the second call. It happens on some computers more than others. I trap for the error and I'm able to deal with it, but it would be better if I could stop it from happening. All of our users have Acrobat Standard version 8.1.0

Well, it is hard to say exactly where it is happening because it has never happened on my development machine. I have the Apply Watermark() procedure trapped in a Try...Catch block and that is what throws the exception. Below is the procedure. The parameters passed in are a the file name, the text of the watermark, and either a 1 or a 0, depending on whether it is the first or second watermark. Above this procedure, the only thing that happens to the document prior to the Apply Watermark call is that the PDF document is moved from a temporary holding folder on the server to a permanent folder on the same server. The file is moved and then the watermark is applied.

When attach a document in OTM (ORACEL Test Manager for Web Applications), click Attachments --> add and then click 'Add', in the 'Choose file' screen, there is an Icon with Objective, but when the Icon is selected, the error message "The current application is not compatible with WinTalk" appeared.
We use a lot of document in Objective, can we make OTM compatible with Objective (WinTalk)

Okay, but are you sure that the datasource is actually deployed? Does the server log or the management interface of weblogic actually report that the datasource was deployed succesfully under the name you specify? And did you double check if you don't have any name mismatches (such as a typo or an upper/lowercase mismatch)?
I ask because the connection to the server appears to be working, but the lookup of the name gives no results - the only thing I can think of is that the resource really is not deployed even if you believe it is.
A few observations:
- you may want to put your JNDI credentials in a jndi.properties file in the root of the classpath in stead of hardcoding them (but you may hardcode for now as a quick test of course)
- the correct lookup should be to "jdbc/fdbusionline", in other words you use the jndi-name.

The errror message of MapViewer is nearly the same with some more informations about the spatial query and the coordintes of the query window. If I run that spatial query in the sqldeveloper it returns a result!
I did following stebs:
- saved a tiff-Image in a GeoRaster table with pyramid an tiled images.
- checked the sdo_geom_metadata --> they are correct
- checked the sdo_georaster object for the rdt table name and rasterid --> they are correct
- checked the rdt table --> objects with that rid are saved
- checked the mdsys.sdo_geor_sysdata table --> entry is correct
- validate the geraster with the sdo_geor.validategeoraster function --> object is valid
- updated the spatial extend of the image and try again the preview functio--> the same error
The databse server is a virtual Linux server with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit.
The web server is a Window 2003 R2 Server with a weblogic server and mapviewer patch 5 (Ver1033p5_B081010).
For a test I did the same (the same table script, the same raster data, the same import method) on a developer pc (WinXP Pro SP2) with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 (32bit) the same mapbuilder version but with the MapViewer QuickStartKid and it works fine!!!
Has anyone an idea?

2.1 RC1 - Can not get data in Object viewer

Hi,
I open the table and change the tab to "Data" then error message is shown in the Data Editor Log panel.
The message is "ORA-00923: FROM keyword not found where expected".
This table has more than 100 columns. I guess that the SQL statement is too long so whole statement is not send to Oracle.
EA2 work successfully.

Can not call a static function with-in a instance of the object.

Another FYI.
I wanted to keep all of the "option" input parameters values for a new object that
i am creating in one place. I thought that the easiest way would be to use a
static function that returns a value; one function for each option value.
I was looking for a way to define "constants" that are not stored in
the persistent data of the object, but could be reference each time
the object is used.
After creating the static functions in both the "type" and "body" components,
I created the method that acutally receives the option input values.
In this method I used a "case" statement. I tested the input parameter
value, which should be one of the option values.
I used a set of "WHEN conditions" that called the same
static functions to get the exact same values that the user should
pass in.
When I try to store this new version, I get the error:
"PLS-00587: a static method cannot be invoked on an instance value"
It points to the first "when statifc_function()" of the case function.
This seems weird!
If I can call the static method from the "type object" without creating
and instance of an object, then why can't I call it within the body
of a method of an instance of the object type?
This doesn't seem appropriate,
unless this implementation of objects is trying to avoid some type
of "recursion"?
If there is some other reason, I can not think of it.
Any ideas?

Nternal ERROR: Can not find the ACL containter for object ...

We are using OWB 10.2.0.3. We tried to introduce two basic roles to prevent user A from accessing certain parts of our project. Somehow (I cannot really say how) we ended up in the error message below whenever we want to modify the security properties of an object.
Neither in metalink nor in the oracle forums I could find any hint about that error.
Can anyone help??

Hi Maren
Like you I get this error and do not know what steps caused it.In my scenario I have some mappings that give the error and some that do not - the repository user gets the error but the repository owner does not.
Thinking back over the last number of months (as this project contains 7-8 months od work - we do have exports of the project) I think the ones giving the error are those that perhaps were copied from another to start the coding but I cannot be sure.
I have read the metalink note mentioned above as well as the the queries posted by Oleg and yourself. The queries posted are slightly different, one has a where clause
fco.classname = 'CMPACLContainer' (Maren's)
and the other
fco.classname='CMPMap' (Oleg's).
Was this intentional Maren on your behalf for your problem to be fixed?
We are using 10.2.0.3.33 OWB client and 10.2.0.3.0 OWB repository.
