Can not see new Power Query data sources?

Hi,
New Power Query can connect to three new data sources: Sybase IQ, Exchange, Dynamics CRM Online

I just installed the latest Power Query and wanted to connect to CRM Online instance. For some reason I can not see these new data sources, what am I missing?

Hmm... I didn't think we had quite released this version yet. It's possible that that website went live before the link to the new download. There should be a blog entry about this on the "Power BI" blog in the very near future.
At the risk of providing a spoiler :), the CRM Online support is via OData.

It is possible to see the 3 DSO tables data in through SE16. May be you do not have authorization to see data through SE16.

I can not map field after changing data source location

I have a small problem that I got a report file and database from my customer, after that I setup database, open the file and change data source to my setting. but some filed can not map. The field mapping widonw does not display all field in the table. Of course I have checked the missing fields are existing in the table.
OS:Windows7
DB:Oracle11
CR:XI Release 2
Does anyone have an idea?

In Map Fields window, there is an option "Match Type".
Please Unchek that option, so that you will be able to see all the fields from that table.
Also, while mapping please verify the datatypes of source and target fields.

Can not see new installed server on network

I have installed 2003 enterprise edition server on a virtual machine using VMWARE. Server is connceted to network and I can access it using Remote administrator but can not access it from explorer. I have checked configurations on the server and wonder what is left to do.

Is your traffic crossing through any fiewalls or routers, if yes then check for acess list to permit the http port in the box.

Can not see new table to reverse

I have a new table that has been added to an oracle database but when I go to add it to my model it is not available in the list of objects to reverse when I am on the selective reverse tab. I do have the New Datastores checkbox checked. any ideas?

I figured it out. The physical schema and work schema was defined with the schema name in lower case but should have been in uppercase.

changed Iphone 4 from O2 to Orange. Done what they said to do. Got O2 to unlock the phone. Which they did. Took out sim card and connected phone to pc using Itunes. establish new phone details. put new micro sim card in but now it reads no service. How do i get it to work?

Can you use SQL as a data source for a project in the same way you can in Excel?

Excel allows you to create a data source that executes a SQL stored procedure, display that data as a table in a spreadsheet and have that data automatically refresh each time you open the spreadsheet. Is it possible to do the same thing in MS Project, displaying

No, You can not use sql as a data source for a project.
You have 3 options to achieve it:
1. You can create a Sharepoint list with desired column ,fill desired data in that list then you can create a MS project from Sharepoint List.
2. You can create a SSRS report in which you can display grantt chart Joe has given you that link.
3. You can write a macro in MPP which will take data from your excel. In excel you will fetch data from your stored procedure. write a schedule which will run every day to update your data or
create an excel report in which will update automatically and write macro in mpp which will fetch the data then publish it so that it would be available to team members.

I have added 4 fields to the data source 0FI_AA_11 .
I can able to see these fields in the append structure or in RSA2,but i can not able to see in RSA6.I reactivated append structure ,still i can not see these fields in RSA6.
Please advice me how can i see them in RSA6.

Power Query/Data Management Gateway data refresh not working

Pretty new to o365/Power BI, but here's what I've got going on (hopefully someone can help me out):
I created a data management gateway and data source. The data source says it's online in the PowerBI admin center, and it seems to be working correctly. I can open Excel 2013 on my desktop (logging in as my trial o365 account which has Power
BI associated with it) and connect to the data source via Power Query using the oData option. I make sure to import the data into the model, and then open up the PowerPivot window and create a simple pivot table using the data in the model.
that all works just great. The problem comes when I upload the workbook and try to update it. I've tried a few different ways.
1. When I try to manually refresh the workbook by opening it in my o365 site and going to data-->refresh I get the following error:
      An error occurred while working on the Data Model in the workbook. Please try again.
      We were unable to refresh one or more data connections in this workbook.
      The following connections failed to refresh:
      Connection: Power Query - dbo_DimProductCategory
      Error: Out of line object 'DataSource', referring to ID(s) 'a75593f3-c34d-4f83-9458-49aa2cece164', has been specified but has not been used.
      The following system error occurred: Class not registered
      The provider 'Microsoft.Mashup.OleDb.1' is not registered.
      Power Query - dbo_DimProductCategory
2. When I go into Power BI and go to "Schedule Data Refresh" for the workbook, I get the following error:

Thanks for the reply.
The "data source type" of the data source in Power BI is "SQL Server" (there was only that and Oracle available to select from)
The "data source type" that Power Query is using in Excel is "From oData Feed"....which is using the Power BI data source....which is using the data management gateway.
A few follow up questions if you have a second
1. Do you know when PowerQuery data refresh will be supported? (just a general idea....weeks, months, next year?)
2. Is there any other way to connect to (and be able to refresh) PowerBI data sources referencing "on prem" data via the data management gateway? I tried using the oData feed URL in non-PowerQuery areas of excel (excel data tab, PowerPivot directly)
but it didn't work. If there's some other way to connect to and refresh on prem data, i'm all ears :D

i can not see the option "Execution with Data Change in the infoprovider",
i can only see 2 options
Direct scheduling in background process
create new scheduling
periodic,
is there any setting which i would be able to see the option "Execution with Data Change in the infoprovider"?

This problem has appeared in a few other threads. It's caused by installing Release 2 Raptor over Release 1 Raptor without first deinstalling Release 1 Raptor . So what you need to do is:
1) Back up any important Raptor files, e.g. connections etc.
2) Remove the existing Raptor Rel 1 installation folder
3) Install Raptor Rel 2

Final user's can not see the data due to limited authorization.

We have created a InfoSet with three info Objects, 0Account, 0Costcenter and 0COMP_CODE. 0Costcenter have an attribute retail location 0RT_LOCATIO.
0RT_LOCATIO is an authorization relevant object. We as consultants can execute the infoset properly, but final user's with limited authorizations can not see the data because of authorization failier
We hae several options to solve the issue, deleselect the auth. flag in the infoobject; delete the infoobject from the attributes of the cost center or create an authorization object and assign it to the final user's profile. But we don't want to go that way.
My question is, is there any way to avoid including this attribute in the infoset definition? We are not using it in the query and we don't need it, so if we could delete it from the infoset (in the same way you add or delete infoobjects from an Infocube) without changing the cost center aster data, we will have our problem solved.
Does anyone how to do this (if possible)?

Just do two things to find the authorization check failed for that user.
1. Execute SU53 output and find out the authoirzation check failed. If yes, please send that to BASIS Team.
2. Next one, switch on the authorization trace in ST01 and ask that user to see that data. if the user is failed with authorization issue. switch off the trace in ST01 and find out the issue.
Do this way, if it is not successful you can go for any other alternate way.

I have the same problem with new 11.0. Presentation of album data now seems scrambled in 'Album' screen. Instead of albums in alphabetical order with all album tracks I now get albums in the order of the Album Artist. Unless the album artist is EXACTLY the same, the tracks on any one album can be spread all over the screen (hopeless for compilations). Does anbody know how to get the Album screen to sort solely on the Album title?
