Can not see shared files

Windows Xp sp3, wrt54g2, Kodak wireless picture frame
Picture frame can see router (wirelessly), computer can see router (by wire), Have Media player 11 which sees the picture frame.  Picture frame does not see the computer nor  shared files.  Picture frame knows the SSID and password.  Network Magic says there are no shared files.  I have right clicked on My Pictures folder  and have shared it (and others as a trial).  Network magic draws a path.  Have turned off  firewall and antivirus.  Can ping everything ok.   What do I do next to share files on the network?  Specifically pictures.

Read this and try to share the picture between wireless frame and comuter.

    There is no way to do so without software. I recently had a similiar task and was suggested to use iExplorer. It worked like a charm.

  • Replace old router with WRT110 and now I can not see shared printer on network

    Replaced a BEFW11S4 with a WRT110. Now I can not see a shared printer on the network any more. I have not changed anything on the computer that has the printer shared. I can see the internet on all the computers, but not the shared printer. can you help?

    First which you need to check, is your printer is working Offline on your computer. In this case you need to Re-map your Printer on your Computers back again. First check if you have any Firewall or Antivurs Installed on your computer try to disable it and check if you are able to print from your computer. If not then try to Remap the printer on your computer.
    Go to Network connections window and if you are able to see your computer name on which the printer is installed, then right click on the Printer and click on "Connect" or "MAP" once done you will be able to print from your computer. 
    Note down the IP address of the Computer on which you have Installed the Printer. (Click on Start - Run - CMD and click Ok, now in the command prompt type "ipconfig" and note down the Ip address, Then go to your other computer and Click on Start - Run - CMD and click Ok and now in the Command prompt type "ping (IP address of your main computer) and hit enter and check if you are getting any replies. If yes, then again click on "Start - Run - type ( \\ip address of your main computer) and click Ok, and now you will be able to see your printer name then right click on it and click on "Connect" or Map, once done, now check if you are able to print from your computer.

    It is strongly recommended not to store any files you want to retain on the Temporary Storage drive on an Azure VM.
    Files on the temporary storage drive are frequently automatically deleted. If you want a location to store your SQL Server database files, I suggest you attach a storage disk to the virtual machine and use that.

  • Windows XP PC can't see shared files on Mac

    Our Mac Pro running OS X 10.5.8 can access all the shared folders on our Windows XP PC. In addition, all our other Macs can access the shared folders on our Mac Pro.
    However - the XP PC cannot access any shared folders on the Mac Pro!
    Any ideas how to fix this situation, and allow the XP PC to access our Mac Pro's shared folders?

    If your Mac Pro has FileVault on, your Windows XP machine will not be able to access the files, as FileVault disables SMB and printer sharing for Windows XP clients.
    In case FileVault is not on, you could try temporarily disabling the Windows firewall and the anivirus and/or internet security suite on the WinPC, and see whether it can access the files on your Mac Pro.

  • Can't see shared files, so can't share 'em!

    I know this is probably just a matter of a setting in the admin or something...but here's my situation.
    Office computer, running XP, cable modem connected to WRT54GS.
    Studio computer in another room, running Vista Home Premium, connected to the WRT54GS using the Compact-G Wireless USB with Speedbooster.
    Both computers see the router fine.  Both are sharing the Internet connection fine.  They just can't see each other, so I can't get to the shared folders on the XP machine from the studio computer, nor to the public folders on the studio machine from the XP machine. 
    I check the network places, and it shows me the router, but not the other computer connected to it.  I AM supposed to be able to share files and a printer between computers, right?  Driving me nuts cause I have to run everything to the XP machine with a flash drive any time I want to print something.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Login to your router and see if you have a setting called "AP isolation".  If you do, make sure that it is turned off (disabled).  As long as this setting is correct, and as long as both computers can access the Internet, then the router is not your problem.  The router does not block communications on the LAN.  This means that the problem that you are having is either a firewall problem, or a Windows problem.
    To correct the firewall problem:
    Go to each computer, and set your computer's software firewall so that all the other computers on your network are seen as "trusted".
    To correct a Windows problem:
    You will probably need to seek help from the Windows support site.

    So i have a home network setup and i have my storage computer that can see my other computers and my xbox 360 but i can not for the life of me get my mac to connect to the home network and see the other computers nor can the other computers see my mac!!! what do i do for the love of god help!!!

    Ya I'm having the same problem, I cannot see my windows shared folders on my mac, and I was able to before I installed leopard. With Tiger it worked just fine. I've tried a fresh install and it still wont see it.

  • PS CS3 can not see ASE file

    I down loaded my Kular theme to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe
    Photoshop CS3\Presets\Color Swatches then I opened the swatches
    pallet and went to load the new swatches. I clicked on the three

    swatches. A pop up menu displays all of the ACO files in C:\Program
    Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets\Color Swatches but it dose
    not display the .ASE file from Kular. Because it is invisible I
    have no way to select it and thus I can not load it. Dose anyone

    files remain invisible when I go to "load swatches" or "replace
    swatches."
    However If I select "save swatches for exchange" then I can
    see all the .ASE files instead of the .ACO files. I know that the
    Kuler files are there but I can not load them into my swatches
    pallet by any method yet discussed on this board because CS3 will
    not "see" them in either "load swatches" or "replace swatches." I
    would really appreicate some help with this.

  • TS2972 Home sharing is enabled but can not see shared libraries on any devices

    I don't see my shared libraries on authorized computers, iphone, nor  Apple TV. 
    Ran netstat -an
    and see the listener for TCP tcp port 3689
    Also see an entry for udp port 5353.
    I can open a connection to the tcp port 3689 via a java api program and telnet.
    I also used TS2972 to help with thiss
    the only thing I did not do is reset the router but since I can open the ports I don't beleieve it is a router issue
    All devices ere connected to the same router
    All devices are using the same apple id
    Need this to work to get the most out of the iphone and apple tv
    any ideas are appreciated

    I have set the apple ID in the Home sharing setting on windows. Also set it on the iPhone and Apple TV and also shared another library on another windows iTunes application. I don't see any shared libraries on any device. Both the pcs only show the local  libray.

    How about other files? or this issue only happens on the PDF? have you tried to manually copy a PDF to the desktop?
    My guess is that the PDF does exist in a desktop, but not the real desktop, but a virtualized desktop.
