Can not send notes via my iPhone

Good morning everybody,
I edit my notes in my iPhone 4s, I would like to send it into my e-mail address, it sound to be sent (I can hear a beep sound while pressing the button 'Send'), but I don't receive anything into my inbox.
I am using Gmail account, I can send and receive emails with any doubt.

I am having the same problem as above. I am using Windows Live Mail (on desktop) and my email works perfectly thru that. I have an Iphone 4 with iOS 5. I receive emails but can not send emails. I have filled in the 'optional' fields and it still does not work. I have tried with "use ssl" on and off and no difference. I have a Bell account.
Any suggestions?

Go to Mail Preferences- Accounts and confirm you are providing Gmail what they require to send and receive mail. And DON'T specify Secure Socket Layer. Some mail accts don't like SSL

If you restored as new, without using a backup, and still only get an option to restore, there is a hardware problem or the phone was previously hacked (jailbroken, downgraded iOS, unauthorized unlock). Your only option is to take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.

Every time I switch on the iPhone, the iTunes icon is displayed together with a USB icon and Emergency call message appears on the screen in many languages. When I touch the i symbol I get the following information IMEI: **** AND ICCID: ****
However, the iphone is visible in the Devices directory in iTunes. I changed my SIM card but still can not be recognized by the iPhone.

Do you mean when you say its locked to another carrier other then the one im using, that maybe my insurance sent me an iphone thats for a different network for example orange and not mine which is o2?

Thanks to a Apple tech support agent we were able to find out the problem. If anyone else runs into the same problem. These are the steps you should take to fix the problem becuase more then likely you have had a jailbroken device on the computer that your using to do the update.
1.
-In TinyUmbrella unchecked the option that says "Set hosts to cydia on exit"
-Press Apply Changes
-QUit TinyUmbrella

-In terminal, write this:

sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts
-Press Enter
-Delete all lines that reference gs.apple.com
-Save File
