Can not shutdown the server 206

Hello,
On adf & non-adf servers I am getting following error with opmn command
/apps/std/1022/opmn/bin/opmnctl stopall
opmnctl: stopping opmn and all managed processes...
opmnctl: graceful stop of processes failed, trying forceful shutdown...
Can not shutdown the server 206
This happens more often than I like, and wondering what may be the cause?
This especially happens after I undeploy or deploy application.
Thanks
s

s,
For OC4J we use the admin.jar:

• Slow-Start Up and "can not find the server" dialog box

hi there -
2 year old Ibook G4. When I try to open either Safari or Netscape the "can not find the server" box pops up.. I have a solid connection wi-fi for the wireless signal is on full strength. I have cleared my cache. Also I am experiencing start-ups that are taking 2-3 minutes. The color wheel just keeps spinning. Also, I have done repair and I renewed the DHCD. Not sure what else to do?

as a guess, spinning wheel could be caused by failing hard drive.
often failing hard drives will pass all tests by the utilities.
you may want to back up any important files just in case.
if the iBook boots up from the OS install CD/DVD with no problems, issues could be caused by the corrupted files on the hard drive or failing drive.

• Safari is not able to open this page because it can not find the server.

I too need help with this problem with my Ipod touch. Currently, I am in the Ukraine, go to a wifi cafe, access the wifi and get a clear powerful signal. Then I try to load the Google page, any page from my bookmark or write the web address in and I receive the same message; "Safari can not open this page because it can not find the server." Something is wrong with my settings and I tried to reset the options but it does not work. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks!!

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
The 169.254.xxx.xxx address indicates that there is a problem with DHCP server in your BT Digital Hub (Home hub?) because the iPod is taking a default IP rather than been given a suitable one. At the moment the iPod is not even in the same subnet as the router so it's no wonder that Safari can't find the Internet.
Ensure that the DHCP server is on and that you have an IP-address pool sufficiently large to serve all the devices you have. I'd expect it to be 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.253. If you have FON enabled you certainly need that wider range as other people may be using your router too.

• Can not startup the server on Enterprise server 4.1 on webadmin

But I can not use the Admin web site to modify something. I tried to start up the server but it appeared the errors " startup server failed". Do you has any idea?

• Send Ical invitation url to a friend, but he can not find the server

I am using an IMac G5 and my friend a powerbook G4. I send with mail a link to my ical. When clicking onto this link he gets no Server.
IMac G5 Mac OS X (10.4.6)

My friend using a mac too, can´t find the
server.
strange ...
Perhaps the link you put in the email got broken
between lines. If so, clicking on it may well
produce an invalid request. Try putting the url
between brackets or at asking your friend to type
it in letter by letter.
Iknow the problem with broken lines. That is not the reason. I will send a testmail to someone other and report it later. Thanks for helping me !

• Firefox says it can not find the server (Windows Internet Exployer works fine

When I try to connect to Firefox,I get the message can not find server.(All my hardwired computers,to Dsl). When we try Windows Internet Exployer it works fine. That is what I am using to send this message.

Not sure of your answers: is the problem solved (as marked) or not.
Did you go through the solution for the Firewall that you use.
When you say it works okay on new browser do you mean IE or do you mean if you reinstall Firefox. As far as I know it is the Firefox updates that get are mostly affected. What Firewall do you have.

• What causes the message on startup- Firefox can not find the server. Could the server block more than two pcs on line at any one time ??

I have two pcs linked to my Telkom server. I tried to add a third to test it. It sees the server and states excellent connection. But I am unable to get Firefox to open. Every attempt ends with "Firefox cant see the server". I suspect its my server which will only allow max 2 pc at any one time altho I unplugged the one (its on wire to the router) and tried. Still got the same message. Same with Opera when tried.

• Can not contact the server

Only Acrobat.com and Adobe Media Player can not connect to
the internet through the Symantec Firewall. Every other application
work perfectly with the internet. Since both of these require Adobe
Air it seems that the issue is with how the internet connection is
made. Is there a particular protocol or port that is used?

I am using the latest Symantec Endpoint Protection and with
Network Threat Protection enabled it blocks both Acrobat.com and
Adobe Media Player. The raw data is below and shows the remote port
being 80 and the local port being 1582. I modified some of the data
before posting.

AM Block and log IP traffic
If I disable Network Protection they both work. The first
time I did get a message that I needed to do an update which I did
but that did not resolve the issue. Every other Adobe application
that I use seems to work fine.

• The Safari Can't Find The Server - Error!

After updating my iPad and Mac OSX to the latest version, I am constantly getting 'The Safari Can't find the server' error on valid addresses. I have to refresh a few times to access the website.
I have gone through many posts and I gathere that it is not a Mac issue, but something to do with network settings - DHCP/Proxy. But I still could not figure out how to solve the problem.
If someone can guide/advise me then that would be a great help..
Thanks

I'm having similar issues with Safari saying it can not find the server. Tumblr and Zooniverse sites are particularly troublesome, even with refreshing. I have checked the status of their servers and they are up and running without issues. I can access them eventually but have to close the current tab and reopen later. However, when I use Chrome or Firefox I can access the sites with no problem. It's not a local network problem as I can access the internet and those sites on my iPhone and all other sites. It appears to be an issue with Safai.

• VPN Connected but can not see folders / server

I have established a connection between an OSX server and client but now can not see the server or any services on the client. There are no servers listed in the 'Network' section of finder and using 'Connect to server' I can not see it either. The log on the server shows the connection and the client does as well but other than that I can not do anything with the connection.

I have connected to VPN but can't see anything on my finder or desktop.
I tried connecting to server by doing command+K and entered the ip address like afp://ipaddress/user
doesn't work. I get error message saying:

This what finally worked for me
updating apps on 4s iPhone and iPad 3.
delete apps on both devices.
restart both devices.
then you should be able to use everything appropriately.
AT&T was having problems last week, I removed that app plus coupons, gas buddy and one other.
Actually I removed that would not update.
I still can not connect to safari.
The error message says it can not find the server.
Do you know how to fix this?
Thanks for help.

• Since upgrading to Firefox 27.0 some webpages will not load when I click on them. It gives me a message saying that Firefox can't find the server.

Since upgrading to Firefox 27.0 some webpages will not load when I click on them. It gives me a message saying that Firefox can't find the server. I have to click the link several time before it will load and sometimes when they do load it does not show the page right. It is like the HTML is messed up or something. I have tried everything I can think of. I started in safe mode, still did it., I removed add-ons, still did it., I reset Firefox and still did it., I completely uninstalled Firefox and re-installed Firefox and it still does it. I have tried Malware Bytes Anti-Malware scans and Avast boot-time scans and found no malware or viruses. I have found that those websites open the first time with no problems on my IE9 and they used to do so in Firefox 26.0. I'm at my wit's end. The website links are in my bookmarks and are used all the time so they are trusted and my avast is set to allow them. They range from news websites to gun websites and everything I have read says that Mozilla does not filter those unless something has changed recently.
