Can not transport from DEV to PRD (Hang up)
Hi Experts,
Please help.. I have this problem, was not able to transport from Dev to Prod, it just hang up.. I've read a lot in web how to solve this problem and did the following:
==> Stop all TP running in OS level
==> Delete all pending job in Import Monitor (with truck logo)
==> and the last to be done is to delete the data from table TRBAT, but it took so long to delete the data in that table.. What I've noticed is that the data left in table TRBAT is the transport number wherein user was log-off during transport execution (as in the middle of the process)..
What should be the solution of this problem, as we can not proceed with the transport of our changes made in DEV system, as it just hang up in there.. and I'm also having this problem in deleteing data from TRBAT table.
Thanks.

Hi,
Its well known problem which is discussed many times in many threads.
Did you check TP System Log and TMS Alert of the System ?
Execute RSTPTEST report to check the STMS configuration. Also check the existence/status of RDDIMPDP Background Job.
Please refer these useful threads with similar symptoms.

Xcelsius based on BEx query. Issue when transporting from DEV to PRD
Hi all,
I am facing an issue as described below:
I created dashboard based on bex query in Query Browser. Everything is working find in DEV. Then I transport the dashboards to PRD, I also use the override settings to point from BOD-BWD to BOP-BWP, my connection changed accordingly. Everything seems ok. One day when we stop the BOD system. Dashboards in BOP are not working. Then I start BOD, everything is ok then.
The issue I got:
Internal: BOP....
External: BOD.../XcelsiusWebServices.
Is there any chance that dashboard in BOP using the BOD xcelsius web service?
I have resolved this issue by:
- Open the dashboard in BOP, then in each of the query in Query Browser, I clicked edit and click next, next until end.
- Then re-save to BOP, then it is working
For your information, I used BEx query in Query Browser only, not use BIWS.
Dashboard 4.0 SP04
BW 7.3
Does anyone face this issue before? And how you resolved it? Please kindly share with me.
Thanks,
Quan Vo.Hi Quan,

Transporting SQ01 Customer Query from DEV to PRD
Hi All,
I am not sure whether I am in the right forum, but maybe you still can help me.
I created SQ01 for Customer Master query in our DEV environment, and i assigned t-code for the query.
Can i transport it in our PRD? Or it is more advisable to create the t-code in PRD directly?
Please note that the query is both existing in DEV and PRD.
Hoping for your positive feedback.
Thank you.Hai TINA,
Hope you would have created T code using SE93 for your query program.
and your SQ01 program may be like this, and in the program the bold letter differs from client to client.
AQ FU SYSTQV000003XXXXXXX===
AQ IC SYSTQV000003XXXXXXX===
So while transporting it may give error that the program is not in the client, or while executing the T CODE it may give dump.
Hence create the query in production client and create the T code for the program and assign to the users.
Some tips may be helpful:
1. Always Use T code : SQVI to create the ALV report, user friendly that SQ01.
2. In case if you are making Customer master details report, if you are include all customer master tables, in case for some customer if some details were not maintained then the details will not displayed.
In that case, in the joint between two respective tables, right click and change it to Left Outer join.
3. If some data is replicated, then need to change the table path, like in case of billing always start from Biling item then to Billing header.

Transporting active version of datasource from DEV to PRD
Hi,
When I transport a 3.x datasource from DEV to PRD, the version I am getting in PRD is 'modified'. In DEV we have both modified and active versions and there's no difference between them. When I try to activate the modified version, it says that I have to maintain the transfer rules associated with the datasource. Then it takes me to the transfer rules display but I am not sure what to do next...how to activate the datasource. How do I get the active version from DEV to PRD?
ThanksHi,

We have 3 different sld's for DEV,QA,and PRD systems.
i need to transport my XI objects from DEV to QA.i'm working on standard XI contents.
i need answers for my following questions.
1.if i use full export for transporting SLD from DEV to QA,can i use the same tecnical systems and business systems in QA?
Can T.S and B.S also get transported from DEV to QA?
2.In such case how to define business systems groups and transport targets?
pls don't send any blogs..i've all the blogs
thanks
AbhijitHi,
1.if i use full export for transporting SLD from DEV to QA,can i use the same tecnical systems and business systems in QA?
Can T.S and B.S also get transported from DEV to QA?
You can use same technical systems and Business systems.
1. Go to Dev SLD and Export all your SWCV, Products, Technical and Business Systems. This is nothing but saving of the SLD objects as a CIM file on your local machine. You would also need to export the Technical And Business System poitning to your XI integration server .
2. Go to the QA SLD and then import these objects exported in Step 1 in QA SLD
3. Now, create the QA Tech and Business Systems in the QA SLD
4. Go to the Dev Business systems imported on the QS SLD and you will have an option Transport Targets. In this map the Source Business System to the Target Business Systems.
Make sure that all Dev Business Systems have the correspodning Transport Targets for the QA Business SYstems
5. Now if you import the ID objects in QA , the business systems name will be renamed automatically.
2.In such case how to define business systems groups and transport targets?
You need to create Transport Groups on your QA SLD. One for Dev and One for QA. You can create Transport Groups only for Integration Server Business Systems.
And this is why you would need to export the Dev XI technical System and Business System from the SLD of Dev and Import it into the QA SLD.
2. Create the transport groups and then assign all Dev Business Systems to Dev Group, all QA Business Systems to QA group and then create the transport targets.
You use the Option related Integration server in the Business Systems to assign a Business System to a Group.

Handle metadata of configuration objects when transported from DEV to QA?
All,
I was reading this blog /people/sravya.talanki2/blog/2005/11/02/overview-of-transition-from-dev-to-qa-in-xi
<i>"Unlike IR when we import the scenarios in ID the configuration metadata will be lost and have to be manually entered in the QA ID. For Ex: Parameters like source directory, filename scheme, FTP server will vanish and have to be entered appropriately as required for QA sand box. After entering the metadata we need to activate all the scenario objects in the ID. After successful activation your interfaces are ready for testing."</i>
From the above I understand there are somethings(like adapter metadata..) that has to be entered manually when the objects are transported from dev to QA.
So my question is, for what all objects of ID needs metadata to be entered manually in QA.
Party?
Business systems(business systems, bus servcies, integration process)?
Communication channels?
Receiver determination?
Interface Determination?
Sender Agreement?
Receiver Agreement?
I appreciate your reply
Thanks
KKHi,
first of all it's not adapter's metadata
(adapter's metadata is something completely different)
the "thing" that will dissapear is the adapters'
configuration (configuration of your communication channels) - that's all
RFC destination (idoc adapter) ftp server (file adapter) etc.
basically all you need to do
is to fill it one every system (QAT, PRD etc.)

HELP... Since last week, I can not awake from sleep. After reading a review I downloaded Deep Sleep, but after the first deep sleep, my MBP (late 2011 with Mountain Lion), developed a problem restarting from sleep. I straight away uninstalled Deep Sleep, but the problem has increased.
Now when I try to awake from sleep, a grey screen with the apple logo appears with a progress bar underneath it, which slowly moves to the forelast indicator, then it stops and a audio signal starts. Three bleeps and pause.
Then when I press the on/off botton and restart the system, the underneath error reports appears with the heading RAPPORTD unexpectedly failed.
Can any one help?

I am switching to Apple macbook pro from Windows laptop. Is Apple compatible with Microsoft Office? How can I transport from Windows to Mac? What I have saved on external hardrives, will I be able to open it on Mac?
Is Apple compatible with Microsoft Office?
Any computer is compatible as long as it can read and write Office files. But for perfect (or at least near perfect) compatibility, you would want to purchase Office 2011 for Mac.
How can I transport from Windows to Mac?
You can't directly transport any installation of Windows. All PC's come with a machine specific version of Windows intended for that PC. They don't have all of the hardware drivers the retail disks cover.
If you want Windows on your Mac, you would first purchase a full version copy (NOT an upgrade disk) of Windows 7 or 8. Those are the only supported versions on newer Macs. You install it through the supplied Boot Camp utility that comes with the Mac to create a new partition for Windows, and then install the retail copy of Windows you purchased.
The reason only these versions of Windows are supported is the same basic reason as a machine specific version of Windows for a PC. Apple only includes the necessary Mac hardware drivers for Win 7 or 8 on new Macs.
Once Windows is installed, you could then install the version of Office for Windows you already own. The nuisance of a Boot Camp partition is that you have to physically boot to either Windows or OS X, so you can only use the apps of the OS you're in at the time. To use both at once, you'd have to use virtual machine software (Parallels, VMware, VirtualBox) and then install Windows within that. Then you'd be able to run Windows inside of OS X and have access to both at the same time. -
Transporting from DEV server to Production Server
Dear Experts,
Like in ABAP and other SAP modules we are having Transport Requests to transport from Dev server to Production server In XI how can we transport all the configuration done by me from Dev server to Production server.Hi,
In XI we can transport in two ways :
1) File Transport
2) Using CMS which needs configuration to be done
Using the File Transport you can easily the Export the Objects and Import the Objects in the Target system.
Select the Object in the Design or Configuration ->right Click you will find Export option.
When you select the It creates the .tpz file which can be imported in the Target System
Using file transfer or CMS we transport xi objects.
Transporting XI from DEV to QA
Look into this blog for how to export / improt IR and ID objects,

STMS , logs? for transports from DEV 200 to QAS 200, 201 & 202
We are transport from DEV client 200 to QAS client 200, 201 and 202 using stms and specifying which client we want the transport to go to.
After the transports, how can the development team find the logs for these transports.
Right now, we as basis can see the results after each of the transports to each client. IF there is an error then we stop and ask the dev. team to review the logs. However IF the transports go thru without error, HOW can we go back over time to confirm that there were in fact NO errors for transport to each client?
Thanks
MariaHello Maria
After you import the transport,in the STMS menu only you can see the option for checking import logs
just click on that and you will be able to see the import logs of a transport.If you drill the logs,you can see everything what the transports has done,what objects have been moved,also if there are any warnings or errors

Transports from Dev System to Quality System, Objects copied in Local reque
Hi All,
I am doing transports from Dev Box to Quality Box, while collecting the objects , some required objects got collected in a local request(9xxxxxx) and some got collected in Work bench request(9yyyyyy), Now I want to add , the objects collected in the local request to the work bench request to have a single work bench request i.e 9yyyyyy for transport , with all the objects of the local request 9xxxxxx and already collected objects in work bench request 9yyyyyy,
Please provide the solution for the situation
Thanks in advance
suitable answers will be awarded
PrasadHi,
1.First see that your workbench request has a different target system than the ones pointed to by the development class/package of the objects you are trying to assign.
or,
The objects are not assigned to correct development class/package.
2. When we try to create a workbench request, we will see only the request and that is fine.
3.Now, release the local request containing your objects.
4.Include the local transport objects to the new workbench request (Ctrl + F11).
and release and transport the workbench request.
Pls assaign the points if it is useful.

Can not select from SAPTOOLS.DB6PMCF
We use third-party tool to monitor our SAP systems. We receive an error
Can not select from SAPTOOLS.DB6PMCF
when we monitor DB2 database.
Function DB6PMCF is registered in SAPSID schema. Can I register it also in SAPTOOLS schema? What is a correct procedure for this?Hi Milan,
I think you have to issue the following command for the affected user.
db2 "grant execute on function saptools.db6pmcf to <user>"

Can not cast from object to int
Hi All,
I have the following bunch of code
Session session;
session = getSessionFactory().openSession();
Query query;
int MaxPageId = 0;
List list;
try{
query = session.createQuery("select max(emp.id) from EmpBean emp");
list = query.list();
MaxPageId = (int) list.get(0);
return MaxPageId;
catch(Exception e){
System.out.println(e.getMessage());
return MaxPageId;
The query executed successfully but when i get the max id in a integer variable by the following statement
MaxPageId = (int) list.get(0);
I get the following error "can not cast from object to int"
Please suggest for the same.
-ThanksCast to an Integer, not an int, and let autoboxing turn the Integer into an int.
int maxPageId;
maxPageId = (Integer) list.get(0);You can't cast objects into primitives.
Autoboxing isn't casting.
And use Java naming conventions. Local variables start with a lower-case letter.
