Can not turn on/ off Toshiba television l7300uc

I am hoping someone can tell me how to fix this problem. My tv was working fine this morning. I went to put on a move for my kids when all of a sudden I have no abilities. I have tried turning my tv on and off but the tv is not responding to the remote at all. I have tried turning the tv off from the back but the tv is not responding to that either. I have tried unplugging the tv but when I plug it back in the problem still occurs.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions?
T Cameron

I called customer support Monday morning. They haven't resolved my problem either. To be completely honest, it is the worst customer support I have ever received! I have had this tv for only a few months and I can't get them to send anyone to look at my TV. They just keep saying 'someone will call you'. No one has. Plus the last person I spoke with was quite rude.

My iPhone is in recovery mode and I do not see it on my laptop and on iTunes. Moreover, I can not turn it off and when I try it comes up all the time in the recovery mode.

    Hey Yan Heng,
Thanks for the question. It sounds like your iOS device is not recognized in iTunes for Windows, while in recovery mode. The following resource may help to resolve your issue. While you should run through each step, the specific information related to your symptom is outlined in Step 5 (If the device is not recognized while in Recovery Mode).

  • HT4061 Please help! My iphone4 is frozen. I can not turn it off.

A message appear that I do not have enough storage and can not be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage available.
My phone is frozen and I can not turn it off. I tried to turn the phone off using the button at the top and the home button, neither works.

    Hello BarbaraHoltStreeter,
It's impossible to use your iPhone if it is frozen.  I found a troubleshooting guide that provides steps to take if this happens.  You can skip any steps that you have already tried:
    Frozen or unresponsive iPhone
    http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/
If you get to the step of restoring your iPhone, be sure to go through the steps to backup your iPhone first:

    I hope this helps!

  • My i phone is buzzing and I can not turn it off. The screen is blank

My I phone is buzzing. The screen is blank . I can not turn it off

Try resetting it: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), then release.  If it won't reset just let it discharge and stop on its own, the recharge it and see if it works again.

    Hi again,
I have lost count of the number of posts here, in addition to my direct experience with my clients, where FileVault is discovered to be the main cause of whatever symptoms are being experienced. I refuse to turn it on on any of my systems and will always, always advise against turning it on to anyone who asks me.
I would recommend that you initially back up all your data to external media (either external hd or DVD-R) and then attempt to turn off FileVault. I purposely used the word attempt because, more often than not, even this can cause issues. If you are unable to turn FileVault off, indeed even if successful, I would recommend that you carry out an Erase and Install using your MacBook Pro's system disks.
In short, my message is ---- stay away from FileVault.
If you require to protect your files then the best way to achieve this is via Disk Utility and creating an encryted image. More details here:

  • I'm going crazy with the liquify mask. I can not turn it off or errase it

Whenever I want to use the Liquify tool I can not transform my image. The mask tool is all over the image and I can not errase it. If I click no "None" on the mask tab, nothing happens. I can modify the image though but, the part of the image that I work on desapears from my file (appears as a transparent section). I have to shut down my computer in order to make it work justo once! Please help me!!

    Need a lot more details.

    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug (very important)
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note: Data will be lost

  • White screen on ipod touch can not turn it off.

White screen on ipod touch 4th gen 8 gb and cannot turn it off

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."

  • Firefox 4 will not open any windows and I can not turn it off either.

I get a grey square at bottom left of my screen when I attempt to open Firefox 4. I have tried restarting my Macbook Pro and that has done no good. Any help would be wonderful.
Also if I have to delete the browser to reinstall how do I save my bookmarks?
    Thanks

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.<br />
See [[Basic Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting&#58; Make a new profile]]
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox

  • HT4113 Can not turn off passcode lock

I can not turn off passcode lock. I see it and it is grayed out. I can change the password, etc. but I can not turn it off  I plugged the phone into a friends computer a few days ago to charge it. Does that have something to do with it?

There is an exchange account on the device and the Admins of that account require a passcode lock on the device.

My Macbook Pro is frozen on the login page with a white screen and only my login picture. How do I fix this? I can't turn it off and I closed it and let it charge but it's still not working. It's only 3 months old and was working perfectly fine 30min before this happened.

    Hello Kierasully,
I would start your troubleshooting with the article below for issues of not being able to log in to your Mac. Start with booting up in to Safe Boot as well as resetting PRAM on your Mac. If that does not work, then verify the hard drive with booting to the Recover HD and go to Disk Utility to verify it.
