Can not uninstall Exchange 2007 64 bit. -

I am in a bit of a pickle here and hope that someone has some suggestions.
Recently, 6 months ago we upgraded to server 2012 and Exchange 2013 64 bit.
Everything has been moved from the 2003 server / 2007 exchange environment and seems to be running correctly.
To be honest the 2003 server was cut off for a few weeks just to make sure that everything was completely moved over to the 2012/2013 environment.
Good news here is it all works except for Exchange 2013 fussing about not being able to see the 2007 exchange server.
Goal:   Completely remove Exchange from
this server followed by removing the server from AD.   It is 7 years old and I want to
cut it off forever.
Problem:   Exchange will not uninstall.   Per
paid support call to Microsoft I was told if I wanted to completely and properly remove all instances of this server from my Exchange environment and AD environment I must use the add/remove programs method to do so.   Unfortunately this process
fails as well as several other items on this server.
Environment / Work done so
far:    The 2003 server running 2007 Exchange was also an AD server.
Yes I know it’s a non-supported environment, but it’s what I was handed and it seemed to work for years.
I have checked and this server is not running any FSMO roles anymore.
When I try to remove the application Exchange, through add/remove programs, I get a little gray box that comes up and says… “Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Setup Initializing”.
After about 3 or 4 seconds the box disappears and nothing further happens.
The same thing happens when I try to “Change” the application.
Other things of interest:
The Exchange Management Console will not load either. The error message is:CLSID:FX:(76dd58f7-54ba-42e3-a2e0-dbfb674539f)
The Exchange Management Shell will not seem to execute any commands either.I get several messages, but most have the following:“The type initializer for ‘InstanceContext’
threw an exception.
I downloaded service pack 3 and tried to install, but that failed as well.
The follwoing Exchange related services will not run.
Microsoft Exchange EdgeSync
Microsoft Exchange IMAP$
Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission
Microsoft Exchange POP3
Microsoft Exchange Replication Service
Microsoft Exchange Search Indexer
Microsoft Exchange Service Host
Microsoft Exchange Transport
Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, the command did not work, but it did lead to the answer I think.  However, I'm not sure how to get this working.   Please remember that the console will not load and the all commands, but the help command fail inside the shell.
The exact error message is:

  • Cannot uninstall Exchange 2007

When I try to uninstall Exchange 2007 I get the following error under the Mailbox Role.
The virtual directory 'ExchWeb' already exists under 'server.domain.com/Default Web Site' Parameter Name: VirtualDirectoryName.
I actually tried removing the ExchWeb virtual directory on the Exchange 07 server but that didn't help. I haven't been able to find anything else on the internet regarding this issue.

    Hi,
From error "Exchange server "server" was not found. Please make sure you have typed it in correctly", I recommend you check if the Exchange 2007 server is under the CN=Servers container in ADSIEDIT.
If it is there, based on the situation, you couldn't uninstall Exchange 2007 Mailbox role via Add/Remove Programs or using Setup.com /mode:uninstall /role:<server roles to remove> command. The last resort is to uninstall Exchange 2007 Mailbox role
using ADSIEDIT, the method using ADSIEDIT should be only be used carefully.
If it isn't there, maybe the suggestion mentioned in the following thread can help you.

    Hi Arun,
Its really great that you want to move and upgrade old Exchange to new Exchange server. The manual steps and guide is already recommended to you.
Moreover, I would like to recommend you to use an automated tool to upgrade your Exchange server 2007 to exchange 2013.  I have tried and test tool to do Exchange Migration 2007 to 2013. You can follow the link
http://www.exchange2007to2013migration.exchangemigrationtool.com/. It will also help you to do Intra-Cross forest migration if you required.
Hopefully my recommendation will surely help you.
    Thanks,
    Walter

  • Can not update Photoshop CC (64-bit) 14.0 to 14.2

Can not update Photoshop CC (64-bit) 14.0 to 14.2. Initially the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application would also not update (an error message was generated), and I was getting an error message when I attemped to update Photoshop CC using the Application Manager. Once I fixed the Creative Cloud updating problem, I ran the update from the Creative Cloud application and it appeared to work. On checking I found that the 32-bit version of Photoshop CC was updated but not the 64-bit version. When I bring up the Creative Cloud application it tells me Photoshop CC is up to date, even though the 64-bit version is not. Even the Application Manager brought up in Photoshop CC (64-bit) tells me Photoshop is up to date.

if there's an error message, attach a screenshot of it - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/963429

I can not uninstall bonjour or itunes. I get a error message that it is on a netwok resource that is unavailable. help get it off so i can load a newer version.
I had a issue when my bonjour was deleted so I tried to delete all apple itms and then reinstall them but a few are left behind and I can not delete them so that when I try to reinstall itunes a error comes up that it can not delete a older version. Help me delete or fix this.

    Doublechecking before proceeding:
so that when I try to reinstall itunes a error comes up that it can not delete a older version.
At that point in time is it saying that it can't remove the older version of itunes or the older version of bonjour? (Either could be possible in this context, given your other symptoms, and whichever one is mentioned will make a difference to the treatment method.)

    Let me rephrase in question.
locking as a duplicate - https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/88761 - please edit your original question instead of starting a new thread <br/>|<br/>
I installed Firefox 6.0.2 on a Windows Server 2003 box. This box is a terminal server with 9 users that are going to use Firefox. The other users are going to use IE. When asked to reboot now or later, I chose Later. After sometime I rebooted, the message "you need to reboot in order to complete the install" reappears. Over and over again. Can not uninstall (same message) Can not open Firefox (same message) Many reboots using various users, the same results.
    Help!

The question appears to relate more to the OS than be a firefox problem, but as I have never used Windows Server 2003, I am unable to help.

  • Can not import Outlook 2007 .CSV or .PST files into Outlook 2013 on Win 8.1 64 bit

I have a new computer (Sony VAIO Pro 11 Ultrabook) with a brand new install of Win 8.1 - 64 bit and MS Office 2013 Professional Plus.  Everything works fine EXCEPT I can not import my contacts or calendar from Outlook 2007 Win 7 - 32 bit into the
.msn folders in each case.  I can open .pst files in Outlook 2013 but they open in a local file and when I copy and paste them into the Exchange ActiveSync .msn contact and calendar files so that they will sync with Outlook.com Outlook 2013 crashes.
It can't even be reopened unless the wireless is turned off, and then you have to create a new data file as a default and then delete the old account and re-establish it.  I have tried using the import functions as well with both
.CSV and .PST files that were exported from Outlook 2007 and an error message stating that this is not supported comes up.  I have also tried to turn on sync with my iPhone to see if the files will sync from the phone through Outlook.com and nothing happens
there either - no sync on the web and nothing at the PC.  Email works fine after adding the account again etc.
None of the procedures on the forums work (open PST file in the local folder then copy/paste, drag/drop, or move the files) so please don't respond with those links.  All result in crash.  Does anyone at MS know what's up with their latest
    and greatest SW?
    Thank you for your assistance.

Import the calendar and contacts in Outlook.com. For contacts, export from Outlook as csv and import into Outlook by choosing the Other option (https://people.live.com/import/other?biciid=ImportCatalog)
You'll need to save the calendar as an ics file to import it. Select the calendar folder, the File, Save as an save as an ics.

Exchange 2007 is 64 bits only.
For production, yes. But for labs and testing, there is a 32-bit version:
