After reviewing your post, it sounds like the iPhone will not update because it needs more space available. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

You might try resetting the App Store application and clear the cookies via this menu:

It's telling you there's not enough space *on your 4S*. The 25GB you refer to is probably that on iCloud, that's different memory than that on your iPhone. You need to delete video, pictures, apps, or whatever ON THE IPHONE, to make enough room for downloading updates to your apps.

Trying to upgrade to newest version of iPad software but not enough space on hard drive to backup the iPad. It is saying if I continue all content on iPad will be deleted! Can I get it back after uprade by just synching with itunes?

I would recommend deleting contents off your hard-drive to make space (how much is left..you should be having 15% free as a general practice) and backing up the phone prior to upgrading.

I can't update my itunes.. in the middle of installation of the new itunes, it says there is a problem with this windows installer package. a program required for this install to complete could not be run.

for any more information, i am in South Korea right now, and i've tried both english and korean version to install on my computer.

After the updates and moving my library from my pc to my brand new mac book pro, iTunes says there is not enough space on my iphone! How can his be? it's the exact sae library that was on my pc... the capacity bar in itunes indicates i have 3.2 gb free space and itunes says i need like 9 gb more...so i need an extra 12 gb more than original on my 16 gb iphone 3gs to have the EXACT same media, apps, etc?????? If you are the only user on your computer you probably don't have multiple user accounts set up and can disregard that. If you are using iTunes 11 go to View>Show Sidebar. Now see if your iPad appears under Devices on the left side when you connect it. If it does, click on the name of your iPad on the left side and your iTunes sync settings options will appear in folders with tabbed headings to the right.
If it doesn't appear on the left side, follow the troubleshooting steps shown in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538.

Before I did this I backed up the ipad to my laptop so I wouldnt lose precious pics and videos of my baby boy. Now that the latest version is on the ipad it is now asking me if I want to start as a new ipad or restore my backup from itunes. Restoring an iPad from an iTunes-generated backup should not require an Apple ID password.
Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password.

Whatever you read about iTunes is wrong unless you're actually referring to feature movies, not videos. Videos, apps, music and iBooks you can re-download:

Download to your computer and then sync to your iPod touch whatever will fit.
And no, I can't say with certainty that they won't give you a refund, but it's unlikely. The most probable outcome, if you do indeed mean movies, not TV shows or other videos, is that they would set up an additional download. For other content they'll probably just direct you to the same instructions on re-downloading I just posted.

Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > View Apple ID > enter your password > set Country/Region to US if your account was created in the US.

Pictures, assuming they were taken with the device, can be copied off at any time. This has nothing to do with syncing.
If the pictures were instead synced to the device via iTunes, they are not the original images. Instead, they are optimized copies of the originals for display on the iPhone. There is software that can extract them, google it.
Where is the backup of the computer? And before you ask, the iPhone, like all iDevices, is not and has never been a backup device.

New PC – Trying to update iPhone 5, says there is not enough space

I recently purchased a new PC. I transferred all of my music from iTunes on my old pc to my new pc using an external hard drive, and imported the playlists. Now, when I try to sync my iPhone to my new pc, it says there is not enough space.
It appears that itunes thinks that I am trying to add additional music to the phone, rather than replace the music that is already on there. How do I go about syncing my phone with my new pc (ie, replacing the music that is on my phone with the same music, just from a different computer)?
If I restore the phone to factory settings and update using a recent backup, will this fix the problem, or will I run into the same issues afterwards, as the music from the backup is technically from my old pc?
