Can not update to IOS 6.1.2 on iphone 4 & apps not working - HELP!!
my iphone 4 says there is an update available to IOS 6.1.2 when i click on "install now" nothing happens! the wording goes faint but no update actually happens! I updated to IOS 6.1.2 on my ipad and noticed that is said "download and install now" but on my iphone it only says "install now" (not sure if this matters) also my facebook and twitter apps no longer work in my iphone 4 and my calender freezes everytime I go to use it! HELP PLEASE!!! Thanks
The firewall would be in your router.
I would just keep retrying. The update is first downloaded. Then the update is expanded and then the iPod contacts the Apple server to verify the update. For some reason at that time the iPod can't contact the Apple server. That has happened to me and it went through after one or two retries.

Typically this indicates a device that has been hacked to be unlocked or jailbroken.

I Updated from ios 7 today to iOS 8.0.2. Now my phone will not play music from neither my Bose or Phillips docking stations. Receiving iPhone not supported by this accessory error. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Tried to update to iOS 4.3, after that IPad won't work, HELP!!
So I hooked up my 64GB+3G t itunes and started to update my IPad, Took an hour to backup and then I came back to check on the IPad, It said there was an error updating. I was like no worry I will just stay with the 4.2.1 update. But when I ejected my IPad and it said it needed to connect to itunes, I did that and it wouldn't recognize my IPad. So I went on this forum and to see if restoring my IPad was the only choice. I did and people said that it won't restore it will just show another error code and that their IPad was utterly dead. Any help to save my IPad? Anyone?

If you bought extra icloud storage, that is not what the storage that you need to update your phone.
It is talking about storage on the device itself. If you have a 16 gigabyte iPhone, and only have 1 GB available, you will NOT be able to update no matter how much icloud storage space you have.
Check in settings>general>usage
At the top it will say Storage, then show how many GBs are used, and how many are available. You need to have at least 3 GB in available to upgrade. -
My IPad 1 will not update past iOS 5.1.1, however many apps require iOS 6.0 or later what can I do?
Also, since updating to 5.1.1 Safari frequently crashes. Help!!!!!!5.1.1. is the end of the line for the original iPad. You can't go beyond that. As for the safari crashes, is it tied to specific websites? Have you tried clearing the cache and history?

iPod 4,1 will not update to iOS 7. I updated my iMac to 10.9.1 (maverick). Latest Numbers version on iMac is not compatible with Numbers on iPod. Ideas? Can I go back a version with Numbers? I downloaded old version of Numbers 2.0.1 from DVD but with both versions the 2.0.1 will not open. So both versions are present but only the new version functions. I tried to drag the new version to the trash but the old version still runs error message and will not open. I did not try to restart with the new version in the trash.

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

There is no way to go back. You can try reseating your nanoSIM or replacing it. Or call your cell provider and have them check the provisioning on your phone.
Or Restore your iPhone from your backup in iTunes. -

Yes. get a computer with iTune 10.5 and:
- Transfer iTunes purchases to the computer:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- Transfer other stuff using a third-party program like one of those discussed here. Most are good for music. It is harder to find one for other stuff like synced photos.
Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities
- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right-clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Back Up
- Restore the iPod from backup and sync as neccessary. -

Yes, it is very silly but the iPad 1 does not have enough ram to cope with ios 6 or 7. Every other iPad can go upto ios 7 except iPad 1, which stays as ios 5.1.1
I recommend upgrading ur iPad, if u can't afford it maybe then u can always sell your iPad and use that money to buy a new one!!
