Can not view video over the Internet on WVC80N
I set up the web cam, set up the port forward etc so now I am able to:
1. view/change web cam settings inside my home network.
2. view video inside my home network.
3. view/change web cam settings over the Internet.
But I am not able to view video over Internet. Every time I did so (using IE browser), after clicking the view video button, I got an error : There are too many user connections or the device is busy, please try again latter.
Anyone has a fix on this? I set up port forwarding on port 1024 (that's how I can chage settings over Internet).
I spent 2 hours on the phone with Linksys tech support but they could not find the reason.
Thanks,
Sam
Who is your ISP? How you are trying to access your Camera from the remote location? Along with Port 1024 you need to do port forwarding for port 80 on your router for the Cameras IP address. As WVC80N works on your HTTP Port.
To access your camera from the Remote location, you need to use http://wan ip:80.

Can't see video on the internet?
What software am I missing that I can't view video on the internet? I've tried downloading windows media player, and now I don't see anything, nor while on the internet do I get a message as to what is needed. Please help this non-tech person!
thanksFirst welcome to the discussions.
There are 4 Players that are used by developers depending on the Media they choose to include on there site.
(Realplayer)(Quicktime)(Macromedia)(Windows Media Player).
You may also need to check to see if you have the latest JAVA Update. Go to your Apple and then click on Software Update. Please be sure to read through this link before you do anything.

Can not view videos on you tube in firefox4 using flash player11
I'm using firefox 4 and i can not view videos on you tube.I've updated and reinstalled adobe flash player twice with no results.I've also tried the other checks,security blocking,cache,pop ups etc Works fine on IE. Hope someone has a solution.I've always liked firefox but not the newer versions and many of the changes;
I can't believe you're still running Firefox 4. Why not a newer version?
There are a number of active threads concerning the latest Flash player plugin (11.3) and the latest Firefox (12-13). Not all users are experiencing the same issues, but things to check include the following:
- Conflict with Realplayer Browser Record plugin (to disable this, open Add-ons from the orange Firefox button or the classic Tools menu and look under the Extensions and Plugins categories)
- Conflict with Flash 11.3 Protected Mode (see [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 Adobe Forums: How do I disable Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?])
Scanning down the front of the forums probably will yield additional suggestions: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions
Does any of that appear promising? -

I believe I might have accidentally deleted my Safari icon from off my desktop. I can not gain access to the internet even from a link off an email. How do I make safari active again?
1. Finder > Applications > Safari
Try launching Safari from Application folder.
2. If this doesn't help, reinstall OS X. -
Can you capture video from the internet, using premiere pro cc?
trying to capture video from the internet, using premiere pro cc, is that possible?
also - it keeps saying "video capture offline" - any solutions for that?I am going to go out on a limb and say that while it may be against the YouTube terms of service to download or scrape a video off of their service, there are times that I really don't care since it is for my personal use. Providing myself or my wife with entertainment that she can watch or listen to on her smartphone while on an airplane, or in a car traveling down the road, just doesn't bother my moral compass. Doesn't make it twitch in the least.
Perhaps I am wrong. Perhaps I shouldn't do it. Tough. I do, and will continue to do so until the Google police come knocking on my door.
This is pretty much the same argument that they tried to kill the VCR with. The simple act of time shifting was something that was considered wrong, and illegal, until people came to their senses.
As for the editing capability, you might be surprised at the ways it is possible to download video that works just fine for what I use it for. Premiere Pro has no problems allowing me to edit out the parts I don't like, or just aren't funny, and the quality really doesn't suffer much at all.
Now, with the exception of something I did for my two year old Great Niece, I have never used any video that I have downloaded for anything except a tutorial, or in her case, a Sesame Street song I used when I shot video of me reading her the Sesame Street book that I purchased.
Would it be wrong to post downloaded video, intact or edited, for public consumption? Sure it would. No question about it.
But please do not assume that everyone downloading video from the Internet is doing so for nefarious purposes, and I promise not to assume everyone is a perfect angel and is following all the rules. -
Can I record radio over the internet to my IPOD?

MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.4.6)Then your impression is, alas, wrong
According to the several I've seen, the manual (page 11) and the pictures on this page, there is a audio minijack on the back that you will need to plug the airport express into.
The iPod Hi-Fi does not have wireless capabilities for sound transmission. The only sort of wireless it has is Infra-Red (IR) for the use of an Apple Remote. -
Can you sync ATV over the internet?
Is it possible to sync ATV over the internet?
If so how do you accomplish this?I would like to know what kind or brand or VPN you are using? IPSec, PPTP, L2TP. Regular IPSec does not support passing GRE and multicast datagram packets. This is how bonjour works. PPTP is a layer 2 protocol and should pass GRE just fine.
There is another method I am examining. Using an SSH tunnel. I've actually gotten iTunes sharing working over the net using Fugu and Network Beacon. The process is a little difficult to understand at first but it works perfectly. Essentially you create a tunnel to your local mac and "host" the tunnel on the remote mac that has iTunes. Then you create a mDNS beacon via network beacon that lists an iTunes share at the port specified (3689). Again, it's weird at first but one you get it it works perfectly.
I am investigating using the same method for the apple tv. The problem is the Apple TV uses 3 different bonjour beacons to work. One for pairing, one for recognition, and one for syncing. Pain in the butt. I am using bonjour browser to monitor the apple tv process. In theory, the SSH tunnel should work just fine. One would then need to hack the AppleTV to enable SSH on the device. The device would host the tunnel. Then create the needed mDNS beacons and sync from a distance. Easier said than done I suspect.
The free VPN client from LogMeIn.com is another potential as it specifically supports GRE and multicast data gram packets.

Iphone 3g
Thanks joeDepends on the format. You can only view mpeg4 and quicktime really. Other movie formats like wma or flash do not have a codec on the phone and would need to be viewed on a computer.
Send feedback about what you want to be able to do with the phone http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html -

The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash
(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
You should also ensure that you have downloaded and installed the correct version for your Mac of Security Update 2009-001 (and for Tiger only, 2009-002 and 003). (N.B. Security Updates require both a restart and a permission repair.)
You should also install Perian from http://perian.org/
You should read this support page http://perian.org/#support in case you need to delete older codecs.
In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them). However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. For that you will need the DivX Player browser plugin available from http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/
Now go to Safari Preferences/Security, and tick the boxes under Web Content (all 4 of them) to enable Java.
Lastly, repair permissions and restart your Mac. -
Can not connect itunes to the internet!
I have a LAN connection, I have allowed itunes through the firewall, I ran the network connectivity test and it said network connection timed out and it never successfully connected to the internet. I'm not very good with computers, and could really use some help!
Thanks!Try this:
Head to your Start Menu
Then click Control Panel located in the right hand menu part.
Then look for Network & Internet and click on that.
Then you want to click on Internet settings
Next, head over to the "Connections" tab
From there, click LAN Settings at the bottom.
Make sure, try putting a check mark next to the "Automatically detect settings" or remove it and hit Apply and then try reconnecting to the store.
If that doesn't help, try flushing the DNS. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the Apple document below. Hope this helps.

I recently purchased a Time Capsule and put my iTunes library on there so that I wasn't using up my hard drive space. Only 120gb on my mac book air. However when I download songs from iTunes I can not be connected wirelessly to the internet at the same time. Can I hard wire my TC in to my mac so that I can treat the TC as just an external hard drive? Thanks
Initially, you asked if you can hardwire your MBA to the TC. The answer is yes, by using the optional USB Ethernet adapter that Apple provides. However, in order for your MBA to access the TC's internal or USB-attached HDD, it would need to establish a network connection to it. This would be true of any NAS device on an Ethernet network. Therein, lies the problem. Your MBA cannot connect to two networks simultaneously.
One option then, would be to have two separate iTunes Media folders; one on the MBA & the other on the TC. This way, you can download the music to your MBA when connected to the Internet at the AirPort lounge, and then use iTunes Consolidate Library feature to transfer the audio files to the TC's iTunes Media Folder location. A great program to help maintain multiple iTunes Librarys and/or Media Folders, that you may want to consider, is PowerTunes. -
3 problems: 1) I can't buy anything online. Firefox has a popup that states that all payment sites (Amazon, paypal, etc.) are forbidden and tries to protected me from them and blocks me (will not let me bypass the block). 2) Once I figure a work around the block Paypay shows as text only (shows all content on internet explorer) 3) try to upgrade adobe flashplayer as suggested in a forum and adobe flash can not upgrade when firefox is open. Been on firefox for several years now why the sudden ultimate security?
Quite honestly, I think you need to go back to Flash 10.3.183.90, a version that was kept alive specifically for WinXP users. The Flash 11 and later versions have a separate plugin container that isn't available for anything below Win Vista with feature you can't even use. I see no advantage to anything newer and on the down side the newer versions are a lot more likely to crash frequently.
First, grab the Adobe uninstaller from here:
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
Then download Flash 10.3.183.90 from here - about halfway down the page:
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
(Released 6/11/2013) Flash Player 10.3.183.90 (61.1 MB)
IMO, the best version of Flash for WinXP. Adobe kept up with security updates for 10.3 for WinXP users long after Flash 11.0 came out in 2011 for Vista and newer versions of Windows.
Run the uninstaller, then reboot your operating system.
Then you can run the Flash installer, with Firefox closed, of course.
''Note, if you still use IE, you'll need to reinstall the ActiveX version of Flash for IE. That uninstaller removes all versions of Flash that might be installed,''
