Can not view videos on you tube in firefox4 using flash player11

I'm using firefox 4 and i can not view videos on you tube.I've updated and reinstalled adobe flash player twice with no results.I've also tried the other checks,security blocking,cache,pop ups etc Works fine on IE. Hope someone has a solution.I've always liked firefox but not the newer versions and many of the changes;

There are a number of active threads concerning the latest Flash player plugin (11.3) and the latest Firefox (12-13). Not all users are experiencing the same issues, but things to check include the following:
- Conflict with Realplayer Browser Record plugin (to disable this, open Add-ons from the orange Firefox button or the classic Tools menu and look under the Extensions and Plugins categories)
- Conflict with Flash 11.3 Protected Mode (see [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 Adobe Forums: How do I disable Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?])

I can not view pdf's in safari but I use to be able to.

I can not view a pdf in safari and I used to be able to. I can view pdfs in preview but i often click on pdf links and it takes me to a blank page. I have looked into it and I found that adobe acorbat is the recomended viewer for safari. I have tried to find out if i have still got it and I have found a few acrobat plug-ins. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? Thanks

Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

Cannot view videos in you tube or The Daily Show

I cannot view any videos with you tube. Neither can I view the videos on the Daily Show (which I get using the Modify Headers plug in) The all worked marvellously only a few days ago. I checked the Java is up to date, I have cleared the cache, restarted and tried again. I can see the videos on googlechrome, I can see the page but the video gets "there was an error, try again later" (you tube) the Daily show just does not finish loading the video part of the screen - but I get the websites. This is recent. what happened? how do I get it back?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
This may be caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update.

Is anyone else having to reload adobe to view videos on you tube after installing Mavericks?

Every so often I get a message that says adobe is out of date. After reloading 4 times now, the videos on You Tube still do not work.
Is this a mavericks issue?

I'm running Mavericks & couldn't get Flash Player to work, all I got was a white video screen. Tried every that I read, downloaded Flash Player to Safari, Firefox & Chrome to no avail. Don't know why, but I decided to check my DNS & IP address, I had at one time added a proxy server & I think I may have messed up. Well all I did was google my "internet server's name & what is my IP Address". Up came the server's name with an IP address & a secondary one. I deleted the address that was in my network settings & added the two new addresses I was given, Wow!!!!!! it was magic, Flash Player was back in all three browers. Just go into System Preference click on Network go to Advanced click on DNS & do what I did, I read that IP Addresses change sometimes, so good luck it should work.

Does anyone have any idea why i cant view a video sent from a email the link doesnt even show up , i know you cant view a video in a instant message which is crazy the cheapest phones out there do it but apple dont

Depends on the format. You can only view mpeg4 and quicktime really. Other movie formats like wma or flash do not have a codec on the phone and would need to be viewed on a computer.

Can not view video over the Internet on WVC80N

I set up the web cam, set up the port forward etc so now I am able to:
   1. view/change web cam settings inside my home network.
   2. view video inside my home network.
   3. view/change web cam settings over the Internet.
But I am not able to view video over Internet. Every time I did so (using IE browser), after clicking the view video button, I got an error : There are too many user connections or the device is busy, please try again latter.
Anyone has a fix on this? I set up port forwarding on port 1024 (that's how I can chage settings over Internet).
I spent 2 hours on the phone with Linksys tech support but they could not find the reason.

Who is your ISP? How you are trying to access your Camera from the remote location? Along with Port 1024 you need to do port forwarding for port 80 on your router for the Cameras IP address. As WVC80N works on your HTTP Port.
To access your camera from the Remote location, you need to use http://wan ip:80.

Ipod touch not recognizing video on you tube

I have an ipod touch 32G and can get on to You Tube but it does not recognize any video-get ∅ through the video thumbnail. It did work when I first got it.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"

*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

Wifi connected but can not open safari or you tubes

Hi please please help! Have got my new ipod touch for xmas and have connected it to my wireless router (the little wifi icon is showing as "on" on the screen) but when i try to connect to safari it says can not find server. I see that lots of people have had this problem but none of the answers I have seen so far work for me.
So, when I click on to the blue triangle next to wifi do I need to go to DHCP, BootIP or Static? There automatically appears an IP address and subnet Mask under DHCP but these are not the same as my pc. Which do I use?

Hi, not sure what MAC address is? I have an IP address for the wifi but it is not the same one that comes up automatically on the ipod DHCP setting, the one on the ipod is 169.254.1.12, it has a subnet mask setting of 255.255.0.0 and that is all´. My router begins with 192. Can you advise with this? Thanks
