I would like to use right mouse click for spelling translate but when I click it pastes the last copied text in instead of opening the menu it happens on many webpages.

still having same problems.
is this the only way to get support from firefox? where are the developers that write the code? or someone directly responsible for the product? i don't expect an end user to help but this is ridiculous. the windows version works fine but the mac version doesn't. i'm running both on the same machine so it's not the hardware (running windows as a virtual guest in parallels).

Update: A user responded to the other thread. So the usb flash device that I am using is 3.0 and looks like there can be problems with that one. So the proposed a solution is to get an external dvd drive and try to install it that way. Perhaps a usb 2.0 stick might work as well. In either case I'll have to buy one. Will update this once done.
The other alternative is to use windows through a VM.

Using right mouse click in bookmarks and selecting new tab or window does not work anymore in firefow 4.0. no new tab or window opens. Still works if you open new via File menu.

When you select bookmarks, find the bookmark you want, then right mouse button click you get a drop down menu giving you the chance to open a bookmark in a new tab or new window. This no longer works with firefow 4.0

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

When a cell has focus and I click the right mouse button, I pop up a JPopupMenu. I would like to simulate a right mouse click using some keystroke combination from the keyboard. Is this possible ?

You can Grab key pressed even then try to create new Mouse right click event from there somethng like that

popupTrigger - a boolean, true if this event is a trigger for a popup-menu

Final Cut can not write file

I suddenly can not edit a project. Final Cut X is telling me that it can not write the file, due either to a permissions issue or insufficiant space. Yet, neither of these seems likely. Here is why:
Permissions: The project file is on an external drive and as such, permissions do not appear to be a relevant issue.
Insufficiant space: I have roughly 1/2 tb of available space on the external drive where the file resides. The file in question is several hundred gb in size, but given the amount of available space on the drive, I do not think that should be the issue.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Tom, that’s the weird thing…everything was fine one day, then a day later, it wasn’t. And nothing had changed to speak of. Sure, I was using the computer for other things but I didn’t install any new hardware/software or anything like that, the amount of free space on the various drives didn’t experience any sudden changes, et cetera.
FCP has all the updates installed, so it is as up to date as possible. The same with the OS. But again, neither of these have been updated since before the problem suddenly just appeared. The source media is on the same drive and referenced by alias, not actually imported into the project files. There were no errors regarding those files from withing FCP. I believe the defaults for FPX are at default in regard to things such as the cache files. At least, I find nothing in the basic preferences which would change that and I have not gone into any project specific settings anywhere to make such a change. But in light of your previous comments, I’m wondering if there isn’t some way to direct FCP to use another drive — one with more free space available — as the cache drive.

Urgent:Can not write mails in inmumm mail service

This is quite urgent.
I have my office mail in inmumm13.tcs.com(An IBM mail service Lotus Domino web access,its a webmail).
I can see the mail contents.
But when I go to "Reply" or "Reply to All" I can not see anything and hence can not write anything in the mail body.
Can someone help me on this urgently.

if you want to solve this quick, you need to send using other email provider,
copy all those addresses, or forward the whole mail to your widely supported email such as gmail
then send from there.

Why am i getting fractions instead of text on some webpages?

i'm getting fractions/mathematical sentences instead of text of some webpages. after reading another post with a similar problem. i did what they said would solve the problem, getting rid of the fonts Helvetica Fractions and Times Phonetic. that didn't work.
i got rid of those fonts. searched thru my hard drive to make sure there weren't other copies of those fonts on my system, but the fractions still show up on some webpages.
i restarted after trashing the fonts and did a disk permissions repair. anything else i need to do?

That's irrelevant. The point is that your machine may still think you have helvetica fractions because it is still in the caches. Clean them.
by the way, firefox works fine.
This font substitution problem normally only affects Apple Cocoa apps like Safari, Mail, Address Book, etc.

Let us start from the beginning.
It has been established that you have Premiere Elements 10. On what computer operating system is it running?
There has not been a File Menu/Export/Movie export opportunitity in Premiere Elements since version 7. We are not up to version 12.
For Premiere Elements 10, your export opportunities are all in Share/ including one for Computer. Under Computer there are several choices. The ones that you see are Adobe Flash Video, MPEG, and AVCHD. The others you have to scroll down to. And those choices are AVI, Windows Media, QuickTime, Image, and Audio. You do not have to use the scroll bar for this. You can click on Adobe Flash Video panel to get it to turn black. Then use the down arrow to go down the list and the up arrow to go up the list. Once you get to a category, you can select a preset and go with it or customize it under the Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab of the preset.
If you post the properties of your source media that you want to try to match in the export, I would be glad to suggest the exact settings for you.

Add On...The Premiere Elements 10 File Menu is for more than Saving, just not exporting. One of the key features that can be access there is the Project Archiver. More on that another time.

Windows error msg: "Can not write to drive G: Joe's iPod"

Halfway thru the download process (1780 songs) from itunes to my ipod I get a windows error msg:
"Can not write to file G: Joe's ipod. All the data has been lost. Check for an error on your computer or network."
Getting the error msg: " Can not write to drive G: Joe's ipod. All data has been lost, your computer or network may have failed."
"Windows/ My computer" shows my ipod as drive G: and itunes starts up properly when I plug my ipod into my firewire port. About halfway thru the download (1780 songs) the transfer from itunes to my ipod stops and I get the above error message. (Never worked with USB). I am not on a network.
According to tech supt, I have:
-Installed Service Pack 2,
-Restored ipod to factory settings
-Installed update 5.0.1. Everything worked fine last Feb with the version 4 of itunes when I first loaded everything up.
Have tried to reinstall version 4, but no luck.
My ipod charges fine thru the firewire cable.
Any ideas?? Thanx anyone.

If you want to preserve the data on the boot drive, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that isn't fully working. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
1. Boot from the Recovery partition or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
2. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
3. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
