Can NOTES open saved attachments

If you attach a pdf or word file to a note in Apple Mail, can you open that on the iphone when you sync notes? I see a paperclip on the iphone note, but no way to open it.

They will only display on your computer and not in the iPhone notes app.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Try resetting Safari. From your menu bar click Safari/Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset then restart your Mac.

Can Not Open PDF Attachments

I can not open PDF attachments from outlook 2010. I am running windows 8 and using Adobe version 11.0.2 If I save the file to desktop, then it will allow me to open it and print it.

the error says it can not open the file because it is unsupported or corrupt.

If you can't open the attachment, have your client/ customer or whatever fix their defective copy of Outlook and send real mail attachments not TNEF encoded rubbish. They are spewing defective email every time they click send on a mail with an attachment.

It could be just an issue with the gmail server. I don't know what settings can be made for attatchments there. I generally leave those messages with large attatchments alone and view them on the computer. I was finding that certain large files like .wmv would sometimes take 5 to 10 minutes to open on the iPad.
Yes it's aggrivating, but I don't have that answer either.

I had seen someone else ask a similar question. I tried safe mode, with no luck. I get an attachment with a PDF or PPS or HML. none can be opened. Hit the attachment, says it is scanning, then save to my computer, then no further action. Where does it go, and why can't I open it????

Not the most tech guy, so I was unable to open windows in safe mode. Tried safe mode with Firefox. I can not see anywhere where the anti virus software, is blocking. I was able to get on Internet Explorer. and when I hit the attachment, it said the same thing: scanning document, but I then got a pop up...would you like to open, answer yes. It did open that way. Can not open docx attachments in the iPhone

I have an end user that when he clicks on an attachment being a .docx or a .pdf that was sent via email all the icon does is blink.
It does not download to where you can open it.

I can not open up attachments on my imac

Whenever I try to open up an attachment from my outside mail account it comes up as just a bunch of letters and symbols.... any ideas how to change it?

I am having the exact same challenge and have not seen the resolve yet in the posts. I am new a PC to MAC user. Attachments in my email from a web-based server are obviously Word docs (.doc) but become .doc.html in the email and open messed up. I can't rename it in the download list. I have to do this to open each and every attachment; Download to the download folder. Move it from the download folder to the desktop. Right click on the file on the desktop to say "open with word" and eventually it will open in word in a normal format.This is way too many step to take to open a word document. Also, on the PC, you just clicked the link in the email and it opened, and only downloaded to the computer if you chose to do it. I don't want all my attachments downloaded.
Does anyone know how set it so it does not add .html to attachments? and, how to open without downloading to your computer?

non of my old dcument will open. The message reads : "You need a newer version of Pages to open this document."
"You can download the latest version of Pages from the Mac App Store."
Probles is I have already updated and dowladed the latest version.

Glad the community could help. Very much agree with your frustration. Pages 5.0 ruined some of my work before I realized how different it is from the previous version. As a simple word processor, it is fine, but I do a lot with layout. I had to pull copies from my back-ups to restore the documents and, for now, have decided to stay with Pages '09.
If you want to use the old Pages, it should be in your applications folder in a folder called iWork 09.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are not able to open up a saved pdf file once you save the scan with your HP Deskjet 3050. To better assist you, can you please leave me with the following information:
1. What is your current Operating system, Windows or Mac and which version?
2. What program are you using to scan, are you using the HP software or another program?
3. Do you get any error messages when you attempt to save as pdf file?
4. Are you able to save the scan in another format like jpeg?

I'm not sure that Lion AutoSave feature apply to network servers.
I'm just sure that the Versions feature doesn't.

IOS 8.0.2 iPhone 6 can not open photo or pdf attachments in email

After the photo (jpg) downloads, all I get is a grey screen with the photo name. Same as when I tried to open a PDF attachment.
Is there a security setting or something I missed on the phone?
The files are fine, opened everything on my iMac and MBP. Just can not open on the phone. Attachments are being sent through email.
