Can one get the new photoshop in something other than monthly subscription?

I current have photoshop cs5. want to upgrade but only seem to be about to do so using a monthly subscription. Is this really true?

You can purchase CS6 (upgrade from CS5) via the Adobe web site. It is a little more hidden now, but it is there. The next version if Photoshop comes out in just a few days. Photoshop CC is subscription only. What I don't know is when CC officially is released, if you would still get the upgrade discount from CS5 to CS6.

No. You can turn your 6G Nano in to be recycled at your local Apple Store for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new one. Otherwise, your only other option would be to sell the iPod on Craigslist or eBay and use the proceeds from the sale towards the purchase of the new 7G nano.

I can't get the new trial of photoshop cc to download. I press download and it takes me to Adobe application manager but I dont know what to do after that.

I've downloaded it before and it ended months ago, but I recently got an email from Adobe saying I could do it again so I got on AAM and it said I had to update it and I did. Then I went to download it and thats when its brought me to AAM, but all it says is "up to date" beside photoshop cs6 and cc. So, thats why I dont know how to download it.

There are only two things that you must do to connect a device to calendars:
1) In settings>icloud, you must log in, WITH THE CORRECT ID/PASSWORD, and
2) Turn on calendars on the same page.

I just bought a new late 2013 iMac. Can I get the new iWork for free? I updated it to Mavericks also. The Mac App store is showing $19.99 for each iWork component (Pages, Numbers, Keynote). I also bought the previous iWork version, if that matters. Free updates for iPhoto and iMovie seemed to show up with no problems. Maybe these are just glitches that will clear up in a couple of days?

Hi. If you want it to get updated, this should take care of it.
1. Uninstall iWork from your Mac.
2. Do a fresh install of iWork from DVD.
3. Install iWork update from Apple Downloads (direct link here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1563)
4. Sign into the Mac App Store, and check for updates. It should now show up as a free update. You may have to give it a few minutes (i.e. 10-15 minutes).

Try updating it on your computer. If you get a message that your iPhone is up to date then you actually have an iPhone 4, not a 4s.

Some folks recommend OmniDiskSweaper to allow you to review your stuff to find possible candidates to throw away.
Even if you throw away some stuff and your desired "1.98GB", then what? If that's the number you need for the update, you'll just use most or all of the reclaimed space with the update and you are right back to where you started.
You don't specify what kind of machine you got but presumably it's a mac pro since you posted in the Mac Pro community. In which case just get yourself another drive or two and move stuff around to free up your boot drive.
[Perhaps you should hurry too since I expect hdd prices might be going up due to possible impending hdd shortages.]
Finally, if some of those updates are major system updates you want extra drives for backups because I always recommend you never do major updates to your system without backups to that system.
