Can one install iWork on both iMac and an iBook?

I recently bought an iMac with iWork pre-installed in it. Can I use the installation CD for iWork that came with the package to install a copy of the software on my iBook (with Tiger running on it) as well?

Yes, licensing terms is the only difference between the two. And technically, the "Family" license extends only to up to 5 users living within the same household and is not to be used for business. Here is the quote from Apple:
"The Family Pack Software License Agreement allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software on up to a maximum of five (5) Apple-labeled computers at a time as long as those computers are located in the same household and used by persons who occupy that same household. By “household” we mean a person or persons sharing the same housing unit such as a home, apartment, mobile home or condominium. This license does not extend to students who reside at a separate on-campus location or to business or commercial users."

You can't. Standalone serial numbers are platform specific. Only Creative Cloud is cross-platform.

Why do you want to do this (I'm curious)?
I found this article which explains how to copy keychains from one Mac to another. Keep in mind that this does not sync the keychains; it's only a snapshot of your existing keychain at the time you copy it. And ... you are on your own doing this, especially if your Macs have different releases of OS X.

Can one license work for both PC and Mac?

A couple years ago I bought CS5.5 for Windows. I'm about to get a new computer, but it's a Mac; I'd really like to be able to continue working with the CS on the new computer, but the purchase (and download) is clearly the Windows version of CS5.5. Is there any way I can obtain the license (and download) of this product for a Mac? I don't want to switch to CC, since CS5.5 works just fine; are there any options for me? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately you are one version too late to get the option to switch platforms. Switching platforms is supported for only the latest release version, which is currently CS6. Here is a link to a document that explains the policy:

Can one ipod work with both mac and windows?

I have a 4th gen 20gb ipod with a mac system at home and a windows system at the office. Can this ipod sync to itunes on both computers?

I had a mini which i used on both my powerbook at home and my pc at work. now with my new 30gb ipod, when trying to use at work I only have the option to re-format thus loosing all my music?? could you explain linux? (if that's a way to do it)

In short, no, you can't. An iPod formatted for Mac
can't be read by Windows, and a Windows Pod can't be
used by iTunes in Mac. You have to choose, or use
Linux.

Go to Settings > Messages > Receive At. Use the same Apple ID. Make sure the phone numbers/email addresses you want to receive messages at are checked.

Unfortunately, adobe doesn't have photoshop elements 6 available for download, as far as i know, so your best bet is to either get an usb dvd drive or use an computer with a dvd drive and copy the contents of the pse 6 dvd to somethiing like
a flash drive and then copy the contents from that drive to your new computer.
Do you still have your older mac and it has a dvd drive?
You can share files between the two using airdrop or an ethernet cable.

A Cloud subscription provides for installing working installations on two machines. You can have mixed operating systems (both Windows and Apple's OX).

Installing Lion, Office 2011 on both imac and macbook air

I installed Lion on my imac and found my old version of Microsoft Office unsupported. I have not yet changed my operating system on my mac air, but need to upgrade that also in the immediate future to support other processes and products. At this point, I assume I can upgrade the old copy of Office I have on the mac air to Office 2011 and then transfer Lion to the mac air. Or, do I need to get Lion installed on the mac air first and then download Office 2011. Do both methods, require buying two copies of Office? At this point, I dont mind spending the money for two copies to make the whole process easier.
I am globally confused after trying to read online about this, but am mostly unclear about which process to do first.

Yes, you can. I have both Microsoft Office and Apple iWork on my computer, and everything works just fine.

Just restore your bootable backup/clone or Time Machine backup.

However note that Aperture will not synch a Library between the two Macs. Huge flaw.
