Running Firefox 7.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.7.1.
Number of tabs that can be opened in a single window is limited. Can't currently open more than four. Clicking the "+" button to the right of open tabs does nothing, and the "New Tab" option in the file menu is greyed out.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Probably nothing, the phone has a high likelihood of being stolen and if you try to Restore it you will run into Activation Lock. Turn it in to the local authorities.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

New strong and fast pc (240 GB SSD, 32 GB RAM etc) and W7 Pro and CS6:

I agree with you in your considerations about PC-tools, and maybe I cancel it and try the free AVG? - or any other suggestions ?? - I chose PC-tools because a test showed it was the best, but I know there are different tests, that not show the same.

The ring control lists all the controls you have on the panel, and usually there is a QUIT ot EXIT button. You may want to select this one.
What this ring control does is equivalent to setting the ATTR_CLOSE_CTRL programmatically, i.e. you define the ID of the control for which a commit event is generated when you select the Close item in the Windows system menu.

Ran update this morning. Now power button doesn't work and soft boot brings to the battery/cord icon as if there's no power. Can't get into anything. Any help on this?

Update for Windows was run this morning---it actually made me run it twice. I was initially able to use my phone but now I get nothing but the battery/power cord symbol. The power button doesn't work at all. I have tried soft boot of the down volume and power button. Seems to reboot but same screen appears. I cannot access anything on the phone. Is there any help on this?

Based on the two attempts to process, I would have to say there was a problem with both install attempts. You may need to process a factory reset. Which model device do you have?

HOLD BUTTON DOESN'T WORK AND IT'S STUCK ON HOLD!!!!!

I thought I had broken my ipod because I could not turn it on, but then when I plugged it into the charger it turned on. I then realised that the hold button did not work and it was stuck on hold so I could not take it off hold to use it. Does anybody know a way of solving this problem???

No, it does not. That is why iTunes does not recognize it.
The iPod turns on when you plug it in because it is getting power from the cable. This does not mean the computer recognizes it.

Power Button doesn't work and cannot Log Out.

Hi,
Strange thing: my power button does not work and I cannot even log out or restart or shut it down from the menu! Everytime I need to restart, I have to either force it or hold the button for five minutes, but nothing else works!

1. Have you tried "Mac OS: Apple Pro Keyboard Shortcuts for Shut Down and Restart"?
2. What changes did you make to your Mac before this problem arose?
3. Are you using FruitMenu? If so, check for updates, disable it, or uninstall it.
4. After you next shut down, run the procedure specified in my "Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption" FAQ. Perform the steps therein in the order specified.
5. An errant Startup or Login Item maybe the cause. My "Troubleshooting Startup and Login Items" FAQ can help you pin that down if such an item is causing the problem.
6. If none of the above, when you attempt to select Shut Down or Restart from the Apple menu and nothing happens, immediately check the ends of these Console logs for clues.

I fail to see how oyu can even use your phone if both buttons are not working. You would never be able to minimise one app and elect to use another. I think it is time you got your phone fixed or replaced

Just bought a new i5 laptop and am transferring files, etc onto new box. Last night I had two separate Firefox windows up. I downloaded Nexus Ultimate late and rebooted this morning. I had to restart Firefox then, and it did not save my settings/tabs as I prompted it to do when it shut down to reboot.
I uninstalled Nexus and wasted many hours trying to resolve this, including two failed system restores (looks like Nexus is a dirty little bugger) Windows Explorer will open up multiple windows. Firefox will not. Help.

Once open, Firefox locks the Profile that is in use and you can not open another window with that Firefox version and Profile combination using the Windows Desktop icon or the Windows Programs list.

It's been so long since I bought my macbook pro in August of 2010, but I do remember the iwork disk that had pages, numbers, and keynote on it, but I can't find the disk in my closet. I did not realize that when I took my computer in to the genius bar to upgrade to Snow Leopard, and then to download Yosemite, that I would lose these applications. I had no reason to open pages when I emptied my hard drive to upgrade to Snow Leopard, so I don't know if I kept iwork when I upgraded to Snow Leopard at the Genius Bar. I had file vault on with my external drive on, and since removed it before the upgrade, but now all my documents are unable to open on my external drive. ****. So now the new problem is how do I undo file vault in a new OS 10.10 when encoded in 6.8? Can I take my external drive in to Genius Bar?

The refresh button doesn't work, and once a tab is opened the URL can't be used

I've recently updated to FF 29. Now when I open a tab, once it's opened, no other addresses can be entered into the URL, if I want to go to a different page, I have to open a whole new tab. Also, the refresh icon (the little round arrow thing on the right hand side of the URL) no longer works.
It's as if, once a tab is opened and a website page has loaded, nothing else can be done but to close the page or use the back arrow. I'm so glad I only updated my work computer, I'm NOT updating FF on my home computer.
I've never seen such an ugly GUI either, that's one of the reasons I always used FF, it's much more attractive than IE. Now it's IE ugly.

The issue is likely caused by one of your add-ons. Restart Firefox with Add-ons Disabled to check if that's the case.
