Can only see emails no later than two weeks old! HELP!
Hello there. We use Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2010 and I am having an issue with one user. She called yesterday to tell us that she was looking at her inbox and she noticed that she couldn't see any email after two weeks old. This user uses two different
computers, one at her desk and then one at the front secretary desk where she sits about 2 days a week.
I then checked to see if she had any filters on, even started outlook.exe /cleanviews, /cleanrules, and /safe and still couldn't see past two weeks. I then checked to see if cache mode was checked and it was not on either computer. Checked her deleted
folder and there was nothing in there but then did a restore and there was tons of stuff in there, so I restored it all because she said that it looked like it was the stuff but I don't think it was. Anyways, the restore didn't work and there are still only
two weeks of emails in her inbox. She's one of the few people here that go through all her emails and delete a lot of them and put some in folders that she really needs to keep.
I then checked around the other folders that she has and there were emails from way back, even going back years. Just to make sure, I enabled her OWA access and signed into her account on there and it had the same stuff that her outlook has so I don't think
it's application related.
I'm wondering if there is anything else that I can check that could be causing this issue. I would be very appreciative for any help that can be offered.

You cannot see the missing emails from OWA, right?
Have you checked if the emails were archived to a psf-file? You can also check the AutoArchive setting by right-clicking on Inbox and selecting Properties, then click
AutoArchive tab. Check if you set the "Clean out items older than" option to "2 weeks".
If so, you can try to open the PST file from File > Open > Open Outlook Data File. By default, the archive PST file is stored under: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Outlook Files.

I can well imagine that they are.
I would backup, restore to factory settings, restore from the backup and then try again. If that fails, restore again but do not use the backup - restore as new. If the iPad functions OK as new, then slowly rebuild the iPad adding your apps, music etc, methodically to see if you can pin down what might be causing the problem.
if all of that fails, it's time to schedule an appointment at an Apple a Store (must be done online) and have them take a look, or of it is lees than two weeks old, just return it for a refund and buy another one. -
I can only see my videos I converted to my ipod, help!
I have a 60gb color ipod. When I initially tried to drag the video to my ipod it gave me message that I will not be albe to play the video on my ipod. Then I converted the video. But when I copied to my ipod I could see the video but I couldn't hear it. Please help!

Does Your Exchange Calendar Currently Show Events More Than 2 Weeks Old?
Quick question: Can you view any exchange calendar items on your Pre which you have created on your desktop and which are more than two weeks old as you read this post? I can't. After several hours of support chat and then an "elevation" to phone support, I was told by Palm telephone support that this was a new feature after Webos 1.2.1.
However, two things make me doubt that this is true:
1) Other Pre users on precentral.net report that they have installed 1.2.1 and they can still see exchange calendar events older than two weeks.
2) I noticed something really weird: I had deleted my exchange account and was re-adding it in an attempt to solve the problem. The account was syncing but I was watching my screen and it was displaying the monthly view of September, 2009. When the account was almost done syncing, I saw the calendar "flicker" a couple of times and when it did, I could see that there were all my grayed out September dates. Then it said that sync was complete and all events before 9/30/09 disappeared.
SO...I'm thinking that the data is actually in the phone but just not displaying on the calendar! That is really weird and would seem to be a true "bug" to me. For my job, I really need to be able to look back and verify what appointments occurred on what dates in the past. The Iphone and Blackberry users at my office that use the same exchange server can look back months and years at their old events.
If you are reading this could you please reply to let me know if this is a unique issue for me or whether others are having the same experience? I'd really appreciate it.

Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)Very similar issue here. I am syncing my Pre with Google Mail. Don't even ASK what a hassle it was to get my Entourage contacts into Gmail and have everything populate the correct fields. A freakin' NIGHTMARE.
That said, the syncing with synergy seems to work well, with one major drawback. No calendar entries older than two months. This renders my calendar virtually useless. What is the POINT of this stupidity. I am perfectly capable of deciding if I want to use my pre's storage for older entries.
Unbelievable. I really hope palm gets it's head in gear and starts supporting its loyal users. Much more of this, and I will jump to virtually ANY other smart phone. -

You want to delete (daily?) anything over two weeks old. That's 14 days. That's sysdate - 14.
delete from mytable where mydatecol < sysdate -14;

I have two iMacs, an iPhone, and an iPad. All use the same email address but the new iMac would only let me set up the email account as an imap account. On this iMac I can only see three weeks worth of emails. On the other iMac, iPhone, and iPad, this email address is set up as a pop account and I can see emails as far back as three years. I use Yosemite on the new iMac and I cannot find out how to change the settings to let me see more than three weeks worth of emails. This is an att&t email account which is basically a Yahoo account.

Or you can try Logging out and Restart your iPad and Sign in again. -

I can only see some of the information of my Facebook friends in my Contacts. For example, a friend has a birthday today. I received an email that she and another friend have birthdays this week. I received a notification on my iPhone and iPad that her birthday was today. It was never displayed in my Notification Center or Calendar beforhand, like it's displayed for other friend's (for other friends, it's displayed in the Notification Center, with the Calendar icon, 1 day before). I looked at every setting I could think of and the Help pages on Facebook. Nothing is working. My friend with the birthday today has her birthday openly listed on her Profile information on her Facebook page. In my contacts, her Facebook email (the one Facebook assigns you when you join) is listed. However her picture and birthday are not listed. I displayed my Facebook Contacts only, and roughly 20 showed up and not the rest. It's like the devices are not recognizing those people and putting their information in the respective places. I have an iPad 3rd Gen, iPhone 5, and MacBook Pro (purchased in January 2013. I hope that helps) and ALL the software updates are current. Can anyone help? Also, my MacBook cannot access my Contacts from Yahoo. Despite my typing in the correct password repeatedly as well as deleting and adding the Yahoo account again. I use Hotmail and when I hit 'reply' I can only see half of the page. I cannot tab down to read the email I am responding to and if I type too much the text disappears into the hidden section of the page. This does not happen in Google Chrome when I checked it so it is a Firefox problem.

all of sudden my iphone 4s any picture I take outside I cannot forward via email or text and I can only see it, in the camera roll. When I try to open the picture full screen it is blank. Anyone have any ideas to fix it?
Close out of the camera app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
Then check your camera roll again. -
I'm stuck on activation for imessage, I sign in but when it goes to verify email it gets stuck. The situation now is that the email verification screen for iMessages is not letting me access my regular msgs. Imessage has blocked my regular messages. I can only see msgs in notifications. Even in contacts the option for message contact has vanished. The phone is just stuck on the verify email screen and my mail is already verified by appleid. iv tried multiple working iTunes accounts but still no go.
Reset the phone (no data loss): press both the home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.

There is a huge difference between sending email and sending messages.
Yes, I believe you when you say you can only send messages to other Apple products. The iPad is not a telephone, and therefore, it cannot text message. It can only iMessage, which means it can send and receive messages to/from other Apple products if they are on WiFi or an iMessage capable cellular network.
Email, however, is a whole different category. I don't really think you can only exchange email with other Apple products only. Make sure you have correctly identified the symptoms. -
Can't see email content until I hit reply. Then is shows up in the reply.
I grabbed some pictures of Mail windows from the web to illustrate. This is a typical 10.6.8 Mail presentation, referred to in later versions as "Classic Layout".
Note that the right portion of the mail window is divided into two sub-panes, and that the divider is a bar with a dot in the middle. It is moveable and has been placed midway down the right pane. The actual message text of the currently-selected message is displayed in the bottom portion of the pane.
Contrast to this picture:
In this picture the moveable divider has been moved all the way to the bottom, and the top part of the right pane is the only part showing. The divider with the dot is at the lowest part of the pane.
To "fix", drag the divider with the dot and move it upward to create two sub-panes.
