Can Oracle Fusion(JDE 8.12) compatible with JDE 8.11

Hi All,
Here we are facing some problem with Oracle Fusion Intelligence (JDE 8.12).
The client having JDE version 8.11 and we are having Oracle Fusion, which is meant for JDE 8.12. And client doesn't want to upgrade to 8.12 as it is expensive for them.
So can these both(Oracle Fusion-JDE 8.12 and JDE 8.11) compatible with each other?
Appreciated the early response.
Thanks in Advance
Rami

See E1 Doc 754249.1 for the workaround, an easier way to do this is already planned for a future release. Also keep in mind that currently the xmlp kernel looks at the default environment from the security stanza in the jde.ini so that if you are submitting from PY and the default environment is set to PD you will need to change the PD data dictionary items as well.

I concur with Matthew.  The release notes for sun cluster and oracle for solaris might tell you.  oracle 9.2.0.8 is out of support on solaris and I recall needing a number of patches to get it to a fit state ... and that is without considering sun cluster.  Extended support for 9.2.0.8 ended about 4 years ago ... this is not a combination I would currently be touching with a bargepole!  You are best to seek on MOS.

  • Is ORACLE DB 7.3.4 compatible with VPN systems?

Can any body write as needed detail where I can find the information about that (Is ORACLE DB 7.3.4 compatible with VPN systems?)
Thanks in advance I need the answer quick answer

VPN is virtual private networks. This means (baldly) running secure private applications using the Internet as the platform. This has nothing to do with databases.
Did you mean VPD (virtual private database)? If so, the answer to your question is "No". Oracle's implementation of VPD uses Row Level Security, which was only introduced into 8.1.7.

The 8i docs have a matrix so you should check this doc first

  • Oracle 9.2.0.8 compatiblity with Planning 9.3.1.1.5

Is oracle 9.2.0.8 database version compatible with Hyperion products 9.3.1.x
we have essbase 9.3.1.3,shared services 9.3.1,planning 93115 . and right now we use oracle 9.2.0.6 and are going to migrate to 9.2.0.8
    Is this new version compatible?
    Thanks

This is the gospel as far as compatibility for 9.3.1 goes:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/hsys9_install_start_here.pdf
This being said it doesn't specifically mention 9.2.0.6 or 9.2.0.8 being supported. I'd say your technically on a non-supported platform anyways I doubt it will change how it interacts on a minor "dot" release.
Someone may be on this version although a lot of people will be on 10g and 11g.

Where can I find and download a print driver compatible with OS 10.7.5 on iMac for USB HP LaserJet P1006?
Ran software update. Apple notes that a driver is unavailable, consult HP (who seems to offer only info but no software download available).
Any troubleshooting info or hints are appreciated.

    Hi LPfromMA,
I'm sorry to hear you've run into difficulties finding the driver for your HP Laserjet P1006 for your Mac OS X 10.7.5.
I have included a document with the steps to download and install the driver for your printer and your Mac. It has a section for a USB connection.  I have also checked HP.com and there is driver for Mac OS X 10.7.

  • Is VMWare Fusion 2.0.5 compatible with Snow Leopard?

Anyone knows if VMWare Fusion 2.0.5 is compatible with Snow Leopard?

I was able to get mine to boot by
    1) loading my backup 10.5.8 onto an external disk as a bootable version
    2) boot my MBP from the external
    3) run vmware and do a shut down on the XP
    4) copy the instance of XP from my external to my internal
    5) I don't remember if I had to delete preferences or not... but I don't think so
We had to downgrade a couple of Mac Mini's to 10.5.8 to get them to run VMWare without having the system hang up with the black screen of restart death after between a few hours and 2 days of running. We are pretty rough with our code and have 2 instances of VMWare running 2 different XP's at the same time.

  • Tip - You can still get epub ebook readers compatible with 1st, 2nd generation iPods for Project Gutenberg etc.

Although iBooks, Kindle, Nook, Stanza and Overdrive are no longer available for devices limited to iOS 3.1.3 and 4.2.1, you can still find ebook readers that work with the older iPhone or iPod Touch. Actually, there are several, but here's a free one I tried out:
    BeyondPrint Reader
There is no need to get an Adobe ID if you want to use it only for Gutenberg public domain books. After you've installed BeyondPrint, launch Safari and go to http://www.gutenberg.org/ to search for a book. Then download one in the epub format. It will present you with a pop-up where you can choose BeyondPrint.
I'm hopeful that it will work with the DRM-protected books from the public library.

Here's an update to my last post I tried out a second epub reader called iDCL Reader. It is very similar to the BeyondPrint Reader. Both are versions of the Bluefire reader.
I was very curious to see if it could open epub files from my local library, the County of Los Angeles Public Library. They use a popular system called Overdrive, and the current version of their iPod app is not compatible with iOS 4.2.1. So after making sure that my old, working version of the Overdrive app was backed up, I deleted it from my iPod and launched Safari. I navigated too the Library's website, logged in to the Overdrive section and checked out a book (Homage to Catalonia, by George Orwell).
Sadly, it did not give me a pop-up window for downloading as the Gutenberg site did. Just a nasty error message. On to the next step.
I went to my Windows PC, and downloaded the book, which opened in Adobe Digital Editions, the reader app for deaktop machines. Then I opened iTunes and dragged the epub file to the file transfer area of the iDCL Reader. Then Synced the iPod.
And yes, it worked! You can read Adobe DRM-protected library eBooks without the official Overdrive app. Too bad it's not seamless the way it is with the Project Gutenberg books.

  • Can Oracle BPEL handle Doc/Lit SOAP with Attachments?

I have successfully followed the instructions for using Oracle BPEL 10.1.3.4 to handle SOAP With Attachments with an RPC-style WSDL, detailed here:
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28981/manipdoc.htm#sthref955
I have a simple Echo service that receives and attachment and responds with the same attachment.
I actually would like to accomplish the same thing using a Doc/Literal Wrapped WSDL. My initial testing shows that BPEL can indeed receive the attachment ( I can see it in the dehydration store), but it is not added to the response.
Is this possible using Doc/Lit with SwA in BPEL 10.1.3.4?

As I've investigated the issue some more, I've found that the real issue is receiving an attachment on the SOAP response from the BPEL process. Using a Doc/Lit-Wrapped WSDL, I can receive a request with an attachment, and add it to outgoing requests successfully. But when I do a straight copy from the request message to the response message (Echo Service), the response contains the correct "href" attribute but there is no attachment, and moreover, no MIME multipart message is returned.
NOTE: I was successful in using an RPC/Literal WSDL to accomplish the successful echo of the attachment.
Also, when looking in the OPMN logs, I see the following line for the RPC-based BPEL process, but not for the Doc/Lit:
    <2009-11-23 13:43:35,684> <DEBUG> <attachment.collaxa.cube.engine> <CXBinaryDataHandler::createDataSource> for binary location=uuid:aaa091d17e1b5545:67c00c53:1252285bf07:-7fc2
    <2009-11-23 13:43:35,716> <DEBUG> <attachment.collaxa.cube.engine.data> <ConnectionFactory::getConnection> GOT CONNECTION 1 Autocommit = false
    <2009-11-23 13:43:35,716> <DEBUG> <attachment.collaxa.cube.engine> <CXBinaryDataHandler::createDataSource> for binary location=uuid:aaa091d17e1b5545:67c00c53:1252285bf07:-7fc1
and the "binary location" value corresponds with the "href" attribute seen in the BPEL audit logs.

  • Can't hide rows; not fully compatible with Excel files

This program has not been fully thought out in its design. I wish I had not bought it; I mistakenly assumed that Apple would have made it fully compatible to other spreadsheet templates, with basic features equal to Excel.
If I want to use this program in my business, I have to rewrite my spreadsheet templates!!!
I will certainly think twice before paying good money for Apple software that is supposed to replace other business software, if I bother considering it at all.

    Hi Glenn,
Welcome to Numbers. Yes you can hide rows and columns.
    What I do is this:
    1. To hide row 8, move mouse over the number 8 for row 8
    2. You'll now see a drop down arrow to the right. Click on the arrow you'll see Hide Row.
    3. The same technique applies to columns as well.
To further help you allow me to suggest reading the Numbers help file. Quote:
    Hiding Rows and Columns
Hide specific rows or columns when you want to avoid showing or using them but don’t want to delete them. While a row or column is hidden, it can’t be reformatted, merged, split, or otherwise manipulated. However, any formula that uses a hidden cell isn’t affected, and sorting takes hidden values into account.
To hide a row or column:
Choose Hide Row or Hide Column from a row or column reference tab’s pop-up menu.
To show hidden rows and columns, choose Table > Unhide All Rows or Table > Unhide All Columns.
Rows or columns that are hidden in Numbers tables aren’t visible when the tables are copied into other iWork ’08 applications. To see the hidden rows, select the table and choose Format > Table > Unhide All Rows or Unhide All Columns.
    Unquote
It's my hope all the above helps you. If this isn't what you're looking for then I've misunderstood your question so please post back. If it is what you're looking for please let us know as well.
    Sincerely,
    RicD

  • Can Oracle Application Diagnostics for Java used with Grid Control 10.2.0.3

I have installed Grid Control 10.2.0.3 in Solaris 10.
I was asked to install AD4J . Is it necessary to upgrade Grid Control to 10.2.0.4 for installing AD4J or can I use the present 10.2.0.3 version withour upgrading it ?

    Hello.
We already have Grid Control 10.2.0.4 and just installed AD4J 10.2.0.4. This version of AD4J is not integrated with Grid Control, and can be setup on any server by unzipping the downloaded file (no installer). I did find the installation/configuration documentation lacking, but worked through it with a little help from Oracle Support.
The AD4J console has the look and feel of Grid Control, but is totally separate app with its own Apache server, etc.
