I dont have Mac stores near me and can't afford to wait for it to arive where I live if I buy the physical version online.
Can it be purchased as a software for downloading?
And can Pages be purchased stand alone? I dont need numbers, etc

You can indeed purchase a download-only version of iWork -- just download the free trial, and in the trial version there is a procedure for purchasing a license online.
Apple does not sell Pages separately from the other iWork suite applications. (But at $79, it's still pretty cheap for an extremely functional word processor/page layout app.)

If it is asking for a serial number for a previous version then you purchased an upgrade version rather than a standalone version. You should be able to determine this based on the price you paid. If you do not own an earlier version then you need to purchase a full version rather than an upgrade. If you did purchase a full version but acquired an upgrade version then you will need to acquire the full version.

I used to be able to view all cloud and downloaded content. I no longer can.

There used to be option to show items that are in the cloud in your library, but I can't find where that now is (unless it's been removed). You should be able to see what items that you can re-download via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (at the top right of that there should be a 'not on this computer' button)
Edit : Just seen your reply, though I don't appear to have that setting on mine.

Yes, you can install P6 stand alone version and P6 network version to the one desktop pc.
But, at a time you can login on a single database only, you just need to select the database at the time of Login i.e. when you are login to standalone, select the standalone database and when you want to login to network version, you need to select the network database.

PDC demotion to Stand-Alone and re-promote to PDC

I have to change the account credentials that were used to add PDC services to my ODM. My questions is that if I demote this PDC to stand alone and then re-promote it back to a PDC using different account credentials will I have any problems?
One issue I'm concerned with is whether or not anyone will be able to login. Another concern is if it will mess up all of the Windows computers currently attached to the PDC. If it does mess it up will I have to add them all back (roughly 200 W2K/XP clients) to the domain?

If the PDC is demoted and repromoted using a different username. The Windows computer will still connect as they did before.

Stop a stand-alone and web app from starting in an App Server

I want to programmatically shut down an application from starting, e.g., mid-way in its start, if a certain condition is raised. I do not want code as System.exit(int) as this API will terminate the entire JVM and more than 1 application running in the JVM will be shut down. My goal is to stop the start process of only one application that is running in the same shared JVM. The JVM is running more than 1 application.
Obviously, throwing a Runtime exception (throw new RuntimeException())does not stop the application - application still gets started.
I want a solution that will work for both stand-alone application and a web application. However, if I have to use two different approaches (one approach for stand-alone, another for web), I will be fine with that approach.
I am using WebSphere 6.1 as application server.
Please suggest what are my options to stop the application from start for both stand-alone and web application.

There is of course no general solution to that.
Consider the following.
1. Initial thread starts 10 threads, and then it exits.
2. One thread determines that exit should occur.
3. How do other threads get terminated?
...and a web application.Conceptually that is a bit suspect. If you don't want it to run then the simple solution is don't install it. In general you don't want a web app to "exit" if a known error condition occurs. For example it shouldn't exit if the database connection fails but instead the behavior should change until the database connection is restored.

I've been trying to login to the BT Sport app and keep getting told that I haven't activated it yet. I'm shown an activate button and when I press it I'm taken to a site where I have to log in using my My BT credentials. Upon logging in I'm shown the following message:
"Sorry you can't access the BT Sport App and online content because a BT ID created by Stephen is the account holder."
The message is completely nonsensical as I the account holder and I've logged in with valid credentials. I tried calling the helpline and am still waiting for someone to call me back, even though I called them two hours ago. What awful service.

Can we use both Stand alone and Extended classic in one SRM system

Our client is now using Stand alone SRM system with back-end R/3 FI-CO system. Now they want to go Extended classic scenario for few product categories.
         Would it be possible to use both in one SRM system? If possible could you please provide what are the sequential steps to do this?

How did you end up solving your problem, as i have the same scenario. Did you use this BADI (
SRM Server->Business Add-Ins->Control Extended Classic Scenario->Activate Extended Classic Scenario)? Based on my reading, it seems this BADI is relevant to switch between extended classic and classic scenarios.
From what i understand, we can control the standalone scenario via the define backend system configuration (SAP SRM -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Define Backend System for Product Category). In my scenario, I have one set of product categories, so i will likely need to implement this BADI (BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS, method:   DETERMINE_LOGSYS - SAP SRM -> SRM Server -> Business Add-Ins ->Shopping Carts and Requirement Items -> Determine Backend System / Company Code) in order to determine the correct backend system based on company/plant for example.
Did you then leave the extended classic scenario activated (IMG --> Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server-> Cross-Application Basic Settings->
Activate Extended Classic Scenario)?
Or how did you achieve both standalone and extended classic using one SRM server?

Purchased stand-alone copy of LR in 10/2013. Got a message that Development module is disabled.

I upgraded from LR 4 to LR5, purchasing a stand-alone version of Lightroom in 10/2014 (less than three months ago) for my PC. In accordance with instructions from Adobe HELP, I downloaded a second copy of the software to a new Mac in preparation for switching computers and discontinued using the original PC version. I had to hire a consultant to assist with the transfer of photos due to lack of specific instructions from Adobe regarding a PC to Mac transition, but by early December the transition had been accomplished and LR (now 5.7) was functioning for approximately two weeks. Shortly thereafter the Development module was disabled with a message that I needed to renew my membership to reactivate the Develop Module! I never had a membership... I purchased the stand-alone version of the software and wish to use it rather than the subscription version.
Added to all my problems with the transition is that we hosted guests for the holiday season and I was unable to show them any of my recent photographs due to the Develop module being disabled. (My guess is that Adobe is not going to compensate me for this inconvenience!)
As far as I can determine, this is nothing that I have brought on myself. Adobe allows the download of two copies of the LR software and I haven't exceeded that, and I called Adobe Help specifically to ask how to accomplish the PC to Mac transition and was told to download the LR software to the Mac.
So how do I reactivate the Development module without paying additional money for a subscription?

But to answer your question directly, you have installed the creative cloud installation of Lightroom which requires different licensing. You have to uninstall and then download from the standalone website.

You can always use cProject system as a stand alone. In this case you can't carry out accounting ( No FICO Integrated), You need to create business partner in cProject (No HR integration), You can manage document in cProjects and no SAP DMS integration.
By using cProject system stand alone you can do only Project planning and execution.

HP 820MFP can scanner be used as stand alone without pc?

We have a HP Designjet 820 MFP system. The computer and printer has now died and will be replaced with a newer model. I am familure with these scanners being made by Contex and resold through Oce Idel and HP.
Is it possibile to use this scanner without the supplied HP PC, as stand alone? I have tried the Context wide system connecting the scanner using the firewire cable. The system does not have the drivers correct. If i had the drivers i would be able to use the scanner we bought and paid for.
The scanner is still good shape and low useage and in good shape, still supoorted by the parent vendor, simular models being sold as stand alone for over 10k, it would be a shame to have to junk this unit out.

Can't download new install stand-alone Lightroom 5

Hi all.
I am trying to install LR 5 on a new computer. New purchase, downloaded, stand-alone product.
Running Mac OS Mavericks. When I click the download button, nothing happens. I have tried a 'download link as...' but this just gives me the webpage to click the download button again. I have no error messages. Internet connection is fine, and I was able to subsequently download Adobe Flash with no problems.
I have tried Safari, Firefox and Chrome, all with pop-up blockers off. I am really stuck now and don't know what to try next. Any ideas??

This is the first time I have to implement this kind of
requirement in AS3.
Application I am developing will be used as a stand-alone swf
(embedded in html) and as a third party movie clip that will be
loaded by clients into other AS3 container on different domains.
The app is dynamic and will have to be available for manipulations
by the loading movie (as a component).
I would love to hear your experiences, learn about potential
caveats that I may encounter and remedies to overcome the common
obstacles pertaining to this dualistic nature. I have a vast
experience with loading swf that I wrote into other swfs that I
wrote too but never dealt with the distributing flash apps.
For instance I already discovered that because of the shift
in the stage reference I will have to be careful when to use it
(after the app is added to stage, naturally, but this aspect
escaped my attention in all the previous developments).
Or, what would be a preferred way for a third party to load
my swf and access its application domain (for help instructions)?
I guess, in essence, I would like to have a share of your
wisdom on what are the best practices in a Flash application
distribution.
I have no intention to bother you with hand handling - just
some conceptual advice. I will dig for the rest myself.
