Can people see my email address on iMessage?

if I send an iMessage to someone, who doesn't have me in their contact list will my email show up and will the people who have my name in their contact list see my email?

That would depend on how the user sending the iMessage has it setup on their device.
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Start New Conversations from...
What is this set to? If it is set to your email address, that is what they will see.
If the receiving user has you in their contacts, it will appears as whatever they have you entered as in their contacts.

Apparently when I send to a Group of Contacts they can all see every email address and this is not acceptable how do I avoid that

I need to send to a group of about 50 parents. Their addresses are held in a Group of Contacts. I highlight the group name to distribute a message to all of them and what I am being told is that they can then all see every email address. This is not acceptable as many do not want their email address being made public in this way. Surely this should not happen or at least there should be a way to avoid it.

I showed you the basic method of sending a group as Bcc - which is what you initially asked for.
As you now specify that not only do you want to know how to use Bcc but every email needs to be personalised - not just distributing a message to all of them, then I would agree with Matt and advise you use Mail Merge. This creates separate emails - not a bulk email to several recipients, so using a TO field will only send to that person - other people will not see other email addresses.

I would suggest you use 'Send Later' option . this will put all the emails in your Outbox, but it does allow you to check the email is correct - or do spot checks. Then you can choose to send them all in one go.
Right click on 'Outbox' folder and select 'Send unsent messages'.

Go on to settings> Messages > send and receive
this should give you the opportunity to edit email adressed

I recently had an iphone 6 stolen and since it was someone who knew how to gain access to my personal information they were able to change passwords and such associated with my apple id which made it a nightmare. Along the way as i was speaking to an apple support tech, i was told that he was limited as to how helpful he could be because I was unable to provide an email address that the phone was associated with, though he could see that findmyiphone was on, he just couldnt share the info with me as to how i could find out what email or who the phone was currently registered to. Can anyone please tell me the website for which i cant remember that will give me more access or more ifo if i enter all the emails that may be associated with the account. Sync your iPhone to iTunes, and see if that does the trick. Also you could try a Soft Reset with no Risk to Data. Holding down both the Sleep button and the Home button until the Apple logo appears and then waiting for the Reset to bring you iPhone back to the lock screen. Are you trying to add the email at Settings>Messages>Send and Receive from (2 Addresses) your iPhone number and your email address?

I feel your pain. I awoke this morning to check my text messages on my iPhone (I'm away working in Norway) only to notice a text my girlfriend sent over the night. The title bar over the message listed her Italian mobile number instead of her name. I thought that odd, only to realize that virtually all of my contacts have disappeared from the iCloud. Even more strange, there appears to be no order, rhyme nor reason, or any form of sense as to what has been deleted. If this (and a few other issues I have with post-Jobs Apple) is indicative of Apple's trajectory, they're not going to be around long. I'm beyond ******-off over this and I'll be thinking very hard about buying Apple products in the future.

iMessage requires both parties be using iOS 5. The iPhone 3 can not be upgraded to iOS 5, thus messages would be sent as an SMS (Text message)

My BT Broadband account BT Internet emaill address is a different email address to my everyday BT Internet email address that I use to send from and receive emails in.
I don't send emails at all from my BT Broadband account email address.
Therefore when my BT Broadband Usage goes over 6GB and then 8GB, I am not aware of it unless I log into my BT.com account and check or log into my BT Broadband account btinternet.com email address as the advisory emails go into that address which I don't use for emailing from.
Is there any way I can have these advisory emails sent to my everyday BT Internet email address instead? Or even continue to be sent there and my main email address? Either by being able to do anything online or by contacting BT by phone or email and have them do it?
I did actually contact BT once before by emailing them and someone in India phoned me back to say they will do that for me but they've not done anything at all for me and the advisory emails still continue to go into my BT Broadband email address instead.
Could anyone tell me if switching the email address or adding an email address as to where these BT Broadband Usage emails are sent to is possible?
Hope it is and that you can tell me how this can be done with any helpful link or contact address/number without speaking to anyone in India.

Hi, I have the same problem, except that the advisory emails are being sent to a completely new email address which I never set up and which I can't access or login to. I didn't know about this until a bill arrived with a £5 charge for excess broadband usage, but I didn't know how to check it until now. I have now received an email (to my correct address) saying "Keep an eye on your usage" which has a link to an online monitor and to my horror I see that my usage has been well over the cap for some months. Yet I never received the advisory emails because I had no idea they were being sent to the unknown address. How can BT invent an email address and then use it to warn me? More to the point, how do I change that email address? I can't login to it because I don't know the password!
Any advice would be gratefully received.

I've been playing around with it and find when I enter another email address other then the one associated with my iTunes account, it'll work. So it seems that my Apple ID will log me into the cloud (or whatever it may be), but I need another email address for the messages to be sent to? Perhaps somebody can clarify for me.
