Can Photoshop CS6 Extended save uncompressed DICOM files?
In CS4 and CS5 Extended layered documents saved as DICOM (.dcm) were uncompressed and could be opened in another imaging program that I use frequently (ImageJ) without complaint. It appears that CS6 Extended saves DICOM files in a compressed format which cannot be directly opened in ImageJ and, as I recall, some other DICOM viewers.
Does anyone know if there is a way to change to uncompressed DICOM saves? I've looked for save options, but cannot see anything relevant.
Monitor the file I/O with tools like Sysinternals' System Monitor and check what's causing the problem. Could be a mundane permissions problem with your temporary folders or otehr resource problem.

I download the file, connect to my account, and it gives me choose software at the bottom,
But not showing me the software Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended,
He shows me only the software Adobe Photoshop CS6, or CS6 Extended Adobe Photoshop
Why?I don't follow. all trial versions are PS Extended. If Extended functionality is not avialable, ite means your system doesn't meet the requirements. Refer to the tech specs on the product page.

I would like to work with DICOM files so I may buy Photoshop CS6 Extended. Can a TIFF be exported from a DICOM file in Photoshop CS6 Extended?
Also, I am looking through the Adobe website, and I can't find any place where Photoshop CS6 Extended is even offered for purchase. Is it extremely well hidden, or is it not available?

I can no longer use 3D commands in Photoshop CS6 Extended
I have Photoshop CS6 Extended (Ver 13.0.1x64). My desktop is Windows 7 64 Home premium; and Video card is: AMD Radeon HD 5570. The drivers and operating system is updated.
I have been using simple 3D functions like "New 3D extrusion from..." from time to time without any problems until recently. For unknown reasons now when I try to invoke any 3D command, I get the following message: " Could not complete the "New 3D extrusion from selected layer command because of a program error." This ,message gets repeated for any 3D command.
I checked out 3D functionality in Photoshop CS6 32 bit; and Photoshop CS5.5 Extended. Same problem. However, I can access and use all 3D functions in Illustrator CS6. Clearly, therefore, the video card is not the problem. It looks like one of the recent software updates from Adobe must have caused this problem.

Saving files in Photoshop CS6 Extended (Mac)
I just got Photoshop CS6 Extended (Mac) and am unable to save files (eg .psd) as a .jpg -- if I select the JPEG option, although that is ticked, it appears in the filename above as .gif or .eps WHY?? Also, why do I have to select 'Enable' and scroll down a huge list to 'All Readable Documents' before I can open, say, a JPEG? I've never had to do this in previous versions (and I've been using PS since v.2 -- not CS2 -- !) I am in RGB and 8-bit and the images are flattened. This is most frustrating. . .
Restoring/trashing the Preferences can alleviate some unexplainable Photoshop problems, but make sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved before performing that routine.

Photoshop CS6 extended creates 65,000+ tmp files
Can anyone help with a tmp file problem? After the last update for Photoshop CS6 extended, I get 65,000+ .tmp files (all 0k size) each time that I save a jpg or targa file. It doesn't matter if I save to the local drive or a network drive. It also takes almost 20 minutes for the save to finish. It then takes 15-20 minutes to delete all of them. Images are 1.5-2mb files.
System is running Windows 7 64bit pro with 4gb of ram. Local disk is 500 gb 7200 speed with 45% free. Servers are both Dell PowerEdge with two separate Raid 5 each server with 4 1tb 7200 speed drives per raid. Servers have two Intel Zeon processors and dual gigabit network cards.

BrianMonitor the file I/O with tools like Sysinternals' System Monitor and check what's causing the problem. Could be a mundane permissions problem with your temporary folders or otehr resource problem.

if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version. -
Can someonee please assist me in my Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended. I keep getting a 'Couldn't Complete Your Request because Dynamic Link is not Available?" Is there a way of getting a software patch for this problem? I thought you didn't need extra software. My software other than that problem works fine.

Can I legally use for commercial purposes the Photoshop CS6 Extended Student Version or do I have to get the Photoshop CS6 Extended normal (commercial) version? I want to make a game and I'll use things created in Photoshop, like images. And I'll sell this game, so I'll get money with it: it's something commercial. Do I have to get the commercial version for that or can I use a Student's one?
And can I make what I need to do in a trial version and then pay the license before selling the game or it's obligatory to have the license since the beggining?

You can start work on your game from the moment you download and complete the installation of the Trial version.
No-one will be standing over you watching what you do or monitoring you remotely or noting when you pay for the software.
You can buy the software at any time during the Trial period. However, after a maximum 30 days of using the Trial, you will have to pay to keep using the software.
Other than that, do what you like with the Trial.
(If you somehow finish the game after 20 days of using the Trial then you can start selling the game even if you have not yet purchased the software.) -
Soda can design in Photoshop CS6 Extended problem
Hello,
I just did my design for a fake soda can in Photoshop CS6 Extended, which I was hoping to use as a 3D image later in my artwork. I measured a real soda can carefully, so I'm sure the size and the orientation of the image is right. But when I try to go to 3D panel/Meshes/Soda to transfer my design to the soda can preset, it comes out less than half the size & oriented 90 degrees off. I tried to find ways to adjust it but it did not work at all. When I tried to apply the same design to a plain cylinder it came out OK. I tried to look online for the info how I could adjust the size and proportion of the image I would like to use in my 3D projects- but there no good information available.
So- how can I accurately adjust the size and the direction of the image/layer taken from a 2D Photoshop layer to 3D in PsCS6 Extended? Please help!

MayaSeems to me, if you follow what Steve said in that other thread, you're expected to rotate your design canvas 90 degrees CW before creating the mesh from the soda can preset.

You can delete all of the contacts that are in the ON MY MAC section by selecting All ON My Mac and then selecting all contacts. Press delete and approve the deletion. Then, select each group under ON My Mac and delete those individually.
Then, Make sure iCloud is set as the default account in the General Address Book Preferences.
