Can photoshop record me selecting the background?

Hi
I have 100+ images that I need to open up and select the background and remove it and hopefully I can setup a recording action and run a batch to process them all. All of the images have a solid magenta background color (not sure if that will help come up with a solution or not). R:255 G:0 B:255
Does anyone know how I can do this?

If you have a one layer image you first have to select the background before eliminating it. Whether you can do this by uning a color selection tool depends on the images and how defined the edges are, and your degreee of perfection. Experiment on one image before tackling the larger problem.

    Read, determine, change spool print parameters and archive parameters
Functionality
    The function module GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS is used to define, modify and
    display the print and archive parameters. Using this function module is
    the only correct way to modify a print or archive parameter record. The
    print parameters are closely related and contain a check total. This
    check total becomes invalid if any of the print parameters are changed
    and causes a runtime error when the print parameters are used later.
    The module recognizes the following modes (values of parameter MODE):
    'PARAM'              Normal case. Define the print parameters for the
                         current program. The values that are not defined
                         are specified from the user master record or are
                         assigned default values. The print parameter screen
                         displays the PRINT key. This mode is used
                         if the MODE parameter is not specified.
    'PARAMSEL'           Like PARAMS, except that the print parameter screen
                         includes an option to activate the selection
    screen.
    'BATCH'              Define the print parameters for a background job.
                         In this mode, the name of the report to be started
                         is passed with the REPORT parameter.The REPORT
                         statement of the specified report is checked for
                         LINE-SIZE and LINE-COUNT definitions. These
                         definitions are passed as default specifications.
                         Furthermore, the SAVE key is offered
                         instead of the PRINT key in this mode.
Check the BATCH MODE.

The colour picker is selecting the background colour instead of the foreground colour.

You know how when you're painting, you can hold ALT and it will pick a colour from the canvas? Well, for some reason, mine still picks up the colour but it sets it to the background colour instead of the foreground colour. And when I actually select the colour picker tool, it will only select the background colour but when I hold Alt, it selects the foreground colour. Basically it's flipped where it's supposed to select. Do you know how to flip it back? It's driving me mad. Thanks.

In the Color Palette (Window>Color) click on the foreground swatch. A "focus ring" will appear around it.

SImple first: try resetting it. Hold down the Sleep and the Home buttons until the Apple logo displays on the screen. This will not have any effect on your data.

How can I create a loop in a multi-record block (on the background)

I have a multi-record block.
In one item I change a value.
Upon this change, in the when-validate-item I would like to
change other records in the same block.
I planned to loop the block with go_record and to do my things
in each record. Unfortunately the go_record built-in is
restricted and cannot be used in a wvi-trigger.
Another approach can be to update the records in the database
and to perform an execute_query after this change. Also this
procedure cannot be used in a wvi.
How can I easily loop in a multi-record block???

You can try to put loop with go_record in KEY-NEXT-ITEM on that
field.
Or if you change something and then press KEY-COMMIT you can
update another records in database and after commit do again
execute_query. Something like :
on KEY-COMMIT:
update_another_records;
commit_form;
execute_query;

Photoshop won't select the internal path

having outlined an image i then try and select the path to remove the background...however photoshop only recognises that there is an outside path - it doesn't select the complete internal path that has been created.
and when placing in InDesign - again the program only recognises the clipping path as being the outside line and not the same path in the middle of the picture?

Paths? Why? ID can work with native PS transparencies and layer masks. That aside, make sure you are defining the path modes correctly in the top toolbar or while creating them (Alt to subtract, Shift to Add, Alt+Shift to intersect).

Can't record (movie) Photo Booth Background scenarios

Here it goes, I open Photo Booth, select a background effect like paris or the waterfall, Photo Booth tells me to leave the screen area, I leave, come back, everything works fine. It's like I'm in the location I just picked. If I take a picture, it works too. But when I select to record a movie, the light on my Macbook's camera goes off for a second, and when it starts recording, the Paris backrgound disappears! It shows the real background behind me!
This started happening when upgraded to Lion. Actually, I only used it yesterday, and that was after (2 weeks) I updated to Lion 10.7.2, so maybe this update is somehow doing this.
I don't think the problem is my camera, because all the effects work. It just happens the moment it starts recording.

I found a little workaround, I open quicktime and select to record the screen. So I open Photo Booth and select the animated background I want. It works, because my problem is recording. The background effect works. I can take a picture with no problem. Oh, you have to also select (on quicktime) to record audio, it records through the built in mic. The only problem, is that the image seems darker when I select the animated beackground. With regular effects, like "the birds" the image is very bright and colorful.

Can we resize and change the background image in a 2 page layout?

I am a two page layout report in RTF. Can I use different background image on page 1 and page 2? The first page background will not be repeated but the second page will. Also, it seems when we insert a background image by going "Format -> Background -> Fill effect -> Picture", after we finished the whole process we can't get the background image to fit with the page, can we resize it to be fit with the page? Yes. Select the image and go to the Inspector/Hyperlink/Link pane and use the Link to One of my Pages option.
Remember: the photo must be added to the page by dragging it onto the page and then be selected. It can't be added as a background image with the Inspector/Page/Layout pane.
