No, Apple has closed the access to verify iOS 7.1.2. So, you know, you can't downgrade from iOS 8 to iOS 7 any more. Instead of bearing the pain of slow iOS 8 on your iPhone 4s, I think you should learn how to speed up iOS 8 on your iPhone, say clear junk files and delete unwanted photos and messages to leaving more storage for running iOS 8, end multiple task and reduce motion effect to boost the performance.

my sister wasnt using her iphone for a month (i dont know why), yesterday she charged it and guess what? it has been locked for 44 years (it says try after 23.480.302 minutes later), i tried to restore the iphone but it will install ios 8, i dont want to install it because iphone 4s has 8gb storage and available space is 5.98gb but ios 8 needs 5.5 gb to be installed that is why i dont want to install ios 8.

I'm actually having the exact same problem. I switched from 4s to 6, and I bought all new ringtones. Then the update happened, and I had to use the link to restore my ringtones. Now, I lost my favorite ringtone for some reason, and I can't restore it. It's in my library, but not on my phone. And I have to buy it again, apparently.I just don't want to buy it again, only to lose it again, you know?

Can't charge my iphone after installing iOS 8

Hey there. Am using a non apple charging cable for quite a long period without having any problem but since i installed the new update i can't charge my iphone. When i plug it in, i got a warning that the cable has no certification and it might not work properly with this iphone devise. I tried to reset network setting and i have plung it and unplug it about 40 times but still nothing. How can i solve it?

My iPad is the last Apple product I will own. The little greed game Apple is playing with charging cables has left a bitter taste in my mouth so it's back to Android and Windows for me. I really like my new HTC M8, and my family all got new Android phones now too. I am back in school now and am no longer wanting a Macbook.
Funny Apple, your attempt to make $20 forcing me to buy a "certified" usb cable, where the incredibly handy 6' eBay cables costing $3 worked just fine for the 5 years I was an Apple fan cost you three phones, and at least one laptop. not to mention another tablet in the next year or so. I have just upgraded to iOS 5 on my iPhone 3GS. I am not using iCloud. (The issue I am about to describe, or something similar, seems to be reported by iCloud users elsewhere in this forum, but I think the causes are different.)
I synced my mail settings with Outlook, so my Yahoo Mail settings should be the same on the iPhone as in Outlook, where it works perfectly well.
Since I did this, I can receive Yahoo mail on my iPhone, but whenever I try so send mail or reply to a message, I get "The sender address '[email protected]' was blocked by the server." There is clearly nothing wrong with the sender address, as it is correct in the error window, and I have no idea what could be causing the problem.
This is a major pain in the neck. If anyone has a fix for it, I'd be glad to hear what it is.
(I should probably learn my lesson and stop upgrading my iPhone software. Every time I do, something weird happens. )

Try deleting and re-creating the account on your iPhone.
If successful, deselect transfer email account settings under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by selecting apply before the first sync after doing so.

Playlists, not checked on iTunes, showing up on iPhone after installing IOS 7.2

My playists, which are not checked, are being synced to my iPhone. I can't figure out how to delete from phone as I do not want them on my iPhone. One playlist has been synced up to my phone but one has not. How do I get rid of the playlist on my phone? How do I get them to not be synced up to my iPhone? The playlist has no checks in the boxes to be synced up. I can't delete manually from my phone.

I wasn't suggesting iTunes Match as a solution, but as a symptom. If you're not a subscriber then make sure you have not turned this on by mistake (Settings/Music).
If that's not it, is your iPhone set to auto-sync to your iTunes library, or do you manually manage music by dragging and dropping songs to your iPhone from iTunes?
If you autosync, are you syncing your entire library? If you don't want to do that, change your sync settings on the Music tab while your iPhone is connected to iTunes. On that tab you can auto-sync to specific playlists, artists, genres, or albums, any combination. That way you don't get things installed that you don't want.
If you manually manage music, connect the iPhone to iTunes, select the iPhone name in the left column, expand its contents by clicking the small triangle to the left of the iPhone name, click on the Music category to expand it, then delete the playlist(s) and/or songs that you don't want on the iPhone.
