Can print one time, next time locks up on spooling to printer... 8.1 64 bit, M476dw

Bought a M476DW about a month ago. Hooked it up to the network and installed the drivers on several machines and everything worked fine. Then last week had to re-install 4 of the laptops - just did a reset and reinstalled...
Windows 8.1 64 bit,
with a local install of Office 2013 64 bit and all updates.
This was a clean install on all the laptops (Surface Pro 3's) most connected via dock.
Installed the full-driver package from the website.
All machines are set to private network with no firewall. No antivirus running except for WIndows Defender.
After this install we had a new problem we did not have before. After you print the first document, the next time you print it locks up and says "spooling to printer". No other application can print on the computer after the first document. The only fix is to reboot.
Fixs attempted:
Uninstalled and reinstalled (on all the computers)
Installed the newest firmware - M476_Color_MFP_Series_FW_Update-20150112
disabled the notification software
disabled firewall
installed new network cable
set ip to static
ran HP Print and Scan Doctor - Just says there is a problem (print queue), says reboot machine, then doesn't see a problem.

Hey , Welcome to the HP Support Forum community. I see that you're unable to install one of your HP 900 Inkjet Printers on an 8.1 machine. I would like to assist. I have some suggestions that might help. There is another way you can install the printer. Typically when users want to use their older printers with newer systems that don't have supported drivers I tend to advise they try alternate drivers. Thus, I recommend you try the following steps, using the Deskjet 9800 driver instead: Disconnect the printer's usb connection from the PC. Press the Windows Key + r. Type in Control Panel and press Enter. Next, click on Devices and Printers. Click 'Add a printer'. The 'Add Printer' window should open. Click on 'Add a local printer'.Click 'Use an existing port'.Click the 'Use an existing port' drop-down list; select LPT1: (Printer Port), and click 'Next'.Click the Windows Update button and wait for the updates to complete.In the Install the printer driver window, under Manufacturer click HP, and then search for the Deskjet 9800 driver under Printers . Once you find the desired driver, restore the printer's usb-to-PC connection. The Installing Device Driver Software window should briefly display in the bottom right corner of the computer screen. This is normal - wait for it to disappear.Click the Cancel button on the Add Printer window. Rejoice! Your printer's installed? The title of my question is the title of the page in iPhoto 8 help.

It says (a bit shortened) 1. Select photo 2. Click print button 3. Select paper size 4. Select print size 5 Click Customize button 6 Click Settings button 7. Select "Multiple of same photo per page from the Photos Per Page pop-up menu. 8 Click OK 9 Click Print.
I can not find the pop-up menu referred to in Step 7. There are two "settings" buttons - neither produce a Photos Per Page pop-up menu. Settings appears if you click a double arrow to the right in the lower margin but only deals with font issues and "Print Settings" does not offer such a pop-up.
I am using Leopard on a PowerBook G4 and just bought and installed the newest iLife 8.

When you click on the Customize button there will be a Setting button in the next window. Click on it and in the drop down window that comes up will be the option to print multiple photos of the same photo per page.
Select that option and click OK. You'll get the spinning cursor for a few seconds as iPhoto creates the multiple copies on the page you selected. Be sure that the print size is small enough so that you can have multiple copies of it on the paper size you selected.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Printing One Address Multiple Times

Hi All,
I am using the label format portion of Oracle Reports and I am trying to display/print one address multiple times based on the user's input. Is this possible? Any coding example would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.

You could pass this value as a parameter to the report and add a where clause to the report that limited the numbers returned based on this parameter. This is essentially what Kevin's doing in his example (the reference to :copies_required).
Incidentally, there's another way to do this without creating a new table of integers. You can get the same result by using the rownum pseudo column (as long as you have a table with at least as many rows as the number of times you want the address to repeat). You can then create one driving query:
select rownum from table
where rownum <= :number_of_copies
and a detail query:
select address from address_table
Link these queries with a group link and generate a default layout. Delete any columns in the 'rownum' repeating frame and run - you should get the address repeated the number of times specified in :number_of_copies.

I am having trouble moving files from iPhoto to a thumb drive. Sometimes I can move 20 photos next time I can only move 2 photos or 0---this is during the same session. I also have trouble downloading photos to the internet. Can someone please help?

During the same session sometime I can move 10 photos at a time, the next time I can only move one photo and sometime no photos will move. I also have trouble downloading photos to the internet. I was using a MacBook Pro and had no problems like this. I then upgraded to the MacBook Pro with Retina Vision and this is the computer I am having problems with. Can anyone please give me a suggestion in how to fix this problem. THANK YOU.

Needs clarification. You upload from your computer to the internet & download from a website/internet to your computer. So which are you trying to do? Either way, sounds like a browser issue. You need to post in the forum of whichever browser you are using.

How do I relink music in the itunes library to the actually media. I can do one at a time but I need to do a group relink?

How do I relink music to the acually media (mp3) file in iTunes? I can do it one at a time by click on the music file then find the actual music file and it relinks.But I need to do this to 300 files. How do I do a group relink. These file are all from cds that have imported into itunes. You used to be able to do a group relink now it only lets you do one at a time

Are all your media files in the same place, or do you keep them in different places on your hard-drive.
For group batching, I've simply gone to the Preferences and set my iTunes library location to the folder where all my media files live. It will crank through the folder and add anything that is not added yet.
The other thing to do is to clear out your iTunes off all media, then drag-and-drop the 300 files into it to relink the lot.

Balky printer keeps jobs until que and prints one at a time when computer is turned off

6300 printer is holding jobs in a que (sometimes saying it is on "pause") but refusing to print after it is changed to "print". Then suddenly prints one job after computer is put to sleep, sometimes as much as an hour later! HELP!!!

The iPhone does not run ActiveX. That is proprietary to MS Internet Exploder.

Printing one address multiple times on the same label sheet

Does anyone know how to print the same address on all 20 labels of a label sheet. So far I can only figure out how to print 20 different addresses. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

That's not a feature of Address Book. You can do that with a program called pearLabelizer, which is free. If you want to print groups from Address Book, it pulls the information for you and prints the labels; if you just want to print one address onto multiple labels, you can type it in or paste it in from somewhere, select all the labels and then Print and it will be done for you.

The title says it all.
Everything used to work fine until I installed Leopard. Now I can only print one document; subsequent documents will hang at 16% or 28%, etc.
Anyone else had this problem?

No, you are not the only person with the problem. I have tried it with both a "g" and an "n" Express (I bought the "n" hoping it might work better; nope). I have a Samsung CLP-510 plugged in to it. It prints one document, then I have to reset the Express before it will print again. When it tries to print the next document, it flashes "Unable to open device (read failure)!" briefly, then pauses the printer.
It's been driving me crazy since I installed Leopard, so I basically gave up on the Express as a print server as there seems to be no cure, and Apple seems to have no interest in fixing it. (I have been through several firmware updates since the problem started, and none have made any difference).
+Oddly, though, just now after the seventh reset, it accepted 6 of the documents in my queue (I had 22 in the queue, and I've just been waiting for it to pause, then resetting the router for each document) before it failed.+

Firefox 4, is printing one page in 10 or 12 separates pieces (pages) Printing set up doesn't help

If I try to print this Web page, Firefox is showing in the printing preview (and then printing) in 27 pages (?) It's like''' it's printing all the 27 frames that this page could have''', and I can't find out the setting to correct this error. I try with all my printers (2) and also with Primo PDF, and it's all the same.
I had to stop using Firefox and I actually use Explorer that doesn't have this behavior

If a page has frames, it usually helps to click the one you want to print. Then use Print Preview and make sure the drop-down says "selected frame."
If that doesn't help, do you want to post the URL so folks can take a look?
(Firefox has some bugs printing pages with particular style rules. You may have hit a particularly bad combination of them.)

The original question was posted by pap0007, and then followed up on by "PRL Sean" who made very a very apt point. I wanted to echo it in that thread, but there are no "Reply" links or buttons, so I'm posting it here and referencing the original (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3271201#3271201).
I'm just really curious why this isn't a feature in the print options yet. I've used the workaround for years, but I agree with PRL Sean when he says that clearly this functionality is in high demand.
Print shops must be doing this all the time (heck, even photocopiers do this), and I find it hard to believe that they're taking the file and making three copies of same that they can then insert to the original and do "4 pages per sheet." I really wish Adobe would make this easier. No doubt there are tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of cases where somebody has a one-page doc (a flyer, for example) that they want to print multiple times on one sheet.
I hope for all of our sakes, this happens soon.

Problems printing one photo multiple times on a single page

Im trying to print multiple photos on a page so as to not waste paper. I have a 4 X 6 photo and want to print 2, 3X3 photos on the page. If you follow the HELP directions which are
Choose FILE > Print, Select paper Size, in my case 4X6. click on customize, Click Settings button then choose "Multiple of the same photo per page"
The "Multiple photo per page" option is grayed out. After troubleshooting it appears the software is telling me that two 3X3 photos cant fit in a 4X6 inch wide space and wont let me try. I was able to get around the problem by printing two 2.9 inch photos.
The software should be friendlier - Allow me to print 2 photos that are a exact fit to the paper. If the photo needs to be adjusted the software should do the adjustments in the background.
If Im having a problem here Im sure others are too.

Note that this is NOT a reporting path to Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback to do that
No one but us users here - and I do not see a question in your post - just a rant and how you found a work around
Note that in general you DO NOT want software to change your specs - if you need a 3"x3" print you do not want the software to change it to 2.9" x 2.9" in the background - if it can not do what you requested then not doing it and having you adjust the request is the most appropriate path IMHO
