Can RemoteObjects using Android AIR 2.5 achieve BASIC authentication?

Can RemoteObjects in AIR/Mobile authenticate against a web server (tomcat) which requires BASIC authentication?

I have tried to setCredentials and setRemoteCredentials on the RemoteObject but neither seemed to work.  When running my app on AIR on the desktop it still prompts me for a user name and password. However on my android handheld  AIR does not popup a login screen and automatically throws a fault event.  Is there another way to set the credentials so you aren't prompted?  I've also tried passing the credentials into the login function on ChannelSet of the RemoteObject.

  • Can I use macbook air for ios app development?

I would like to know if i can use macbook air for ios app development or macbook pro is only option?

Just to reinforce what shldr2thewheel says - be very sure what size memory you want if you get a Macbook Air. There is *no* way to change after purchase. My advice is to go for the 4GB option - especially if you want to do app development.
The internal storage (solid state drive) of the Air can be upgraded if required but it will probably be an expensive option. If you don't think the storage will be enough then maybe using a USB connected drive to hold non-essential files is an option.
As to deciding between the Air and Pro you are basically making a decision between portability (Air) and expandability/bigger screens (Pro). What is more important to you?

  • Can you use a AIR-PWRINJ-FIB with a AIR-CAP3502I-A-K9 access point?

Is it possible to use a AIR-PWRINJ-FIB with an AIR-CAP3502I-A-K9 access point?

You cannot use a mouse as it defeats the point of a MacBook. You can although have a keyboard for the iPad which allows word processing and simple things like typing emails. Hope this helps

  • How many multiple SSID can i use with AIR-WLC2112-K9 ?

    Hi.
    Im thinking of using either
    AIR-WLC2112-K9
    or
    AIR-WLC2125-K9
Im wondering whats the big differens is between these two besides the supported number of Accesspoints.
I want every Accesspoint to broadcast the same 10-20 SSID. So that the same 10-20 SSID have coverage all over the building.
Some insight would be much appreciated.
    Regards Tommy Svensson

    Extract from the configuration guide
    Refer line in bold
"The Cisco UWN solution can control up to 512 WLANs for lightweight access points. Each WLAN has a separate WLAN ID (1 through 512), a separate profile name, and a WLAN SSID. All controllers publish up to 16 WLANs to each connected access point, but you can create up to 512 WLANs and then selectively publish these WLANs (using access point groups) to different access points to better manage your wireless network.
Note: Cisco 2106, 2112, and 2125 Controllers support only up to 16 WLANs."
Why you'd be trying to push so many WLANs with a 2100 controller is beyond me, it's not exactly an enterprise device

  • Is this the only tablet that can use iTunes? Or can you use Android Tablets with iTunes?

I'm looking into buying a tablet... But can i get my music from iTunes onto different tablets like the android 2.2...? Or just iPads? Can someone please help?! I'm going black friday shopping soon...!

Nope, I personally do not like android.
I find it to be annoying in a lot of little ways.
    I have used both a phone(galaxy s) and have a cheap tablet(archos 70).
The only reason to get an android device is if you can not live without being able to fiddle with 100's of different settings, widgets, screen animations, etc to totally customize the device or you cannot afford an iPad and will accept one of the cheaper tablets realizing you are getting a pretty poor substitute.
In the case of cheap tablet-Nook Color tablet is probably best choice. In another month or so xda will crack it and have some really good ROMs for it.

  • Can I use iPad Air purchased in the US in Japan?

    Hello,
I'm currently assisting a team of Japanese Engineers from Japan, who are here for less than 1 year project in the US.
Yesterday, my manager asked me to research & find SIM Free iPad Air to buy, but not with any carrier contract, and get a SIM Card to have Wi-Fi available in the US. Then when they finish the project, they will bring their iPad Air back to Japan and insert their Japanese SIM card to use WI-Fi there.
Is it possible? I have read so many related articles, my brain is about to explode with so many information, but not sure what's the FACT and what's LIE!
Can someone explain to me in plain English (or in Japanese), please?
By the way, here are some articles I have read...
    - How to Use Your Unlocked iPad Air on Any Carrier: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2426795,00.asp

    - iPad Air with LTE tip: You can switch carrier SIMs at will: http://gigaom.com/2013/11/01/ipad-air-with-lte-tip-you-can-switch-carrier-sims-a t-will/
    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Courcoul,
Thank you very much for your help!
Here's our situation. We are in the satellite offices, meaning in the trailers, where we have wifi set up. But they will be walking into the construction site often, but I'm not sure if they would need internet connection there...
Now I just spoke with one of the team members who arrived from Japan yesterday WITH their iPad Air, and my manager was impressed with it (hence my manager wanted to have some for his onsite staff).
According to them, they won't be needing internet connection in teh construction zone, but just computer (data input or reference), then when they return to the offices, they will connect with the WiFi.
My dilenmma is that there are TWO version sold in the US:
    1. with Built-in Wi-Fi(802.11a/b/g/n) with MIMO support
    2. with Wi-Fi+Cellure
And he does want the option to insert SIM cards when they return Japan, but doesn't want to sign up with any US carrier...
Does it make sense? Which one should they choose???
    Thank you!

  • Can I use Adobe AIR to render an image and exit...on a server?

We currently have an online Flex app that renders csv data as charts.  One option we have is to export to MS PowerPoint. The current implementation involves the following for each chart we put into the PowerPoint slideshow...
    * render the chart in flex
    * convert it to bitmap in flex
    * compress it to jpeg in flex
    * send each jpeg to the server
    * generate a ppt slideshow using the jpegs on the server
    * let the user download the ppt slideshow when it is ready
Since the csv data is already on the server, and our servers are generally faster than the average PC, I'd like to move these steps to an AIR application that runs on the server.  Has anyone done this before?
Should I run my AIR app as a service that listens for requests?
Should I launch my AIR app each time a chart needs to be rendered and then exit when it is done?
Are there complications with launching AIR when a user isn't logged into the machine?

    Anyone? Bueller?

  • Can i use an air port express on the road when im travelling

    Hi
I am going away on hoiladays and wondering if my apple air port express will work if i just plug

It can, but only very slowly since the iPhone power adapter doesn't put out as much current. If you only have room for one adapter, take the iPad adapter.

  • Can I use a dll created in Visual Basic 2010?

I am reading up on the new extention system for air 3.0.
I have successfully (I think) managed to integrate the Air 3.0 prerelease into Flash CS5.5 (I don't use flex or flash builder)
So now I am trying to read up and learn how to use extentions.
Now, I don't know C/C++. My experience with it has been very limited over the years. But I know visual basic pretty well as I have been using that since VB4. (back in the programming stone age, heh)
Right now, I have Visual Studio 2010 and Flash CS5.5.
I am developing for the iPhone and iPad and up until now I have created a working iOS application that works pretty well.
Can I create a dll in visual basic (A class library) and then use the extention system to load that into my application to run on the iOS mobile device?

I thought I'd seen this question asked somewhere before, but I can't find the thread. In theory there should be no problem. However, you'll need to have both the LabVIEW 5.1 and LabVIEW 8.6 run-time engines installed, and I don't know if there are any operating systems on which both of those versions are supported. If the run-time engine is properly installed, then calling a LabVIEW-built DLL is just like calling any other DLL. There might be some special optimization if the calling application and DLL both use the same version of the run-time engine.
