Can Rev A Air Owners give some feedback on Garageband use?

Hi I think it's much better to rephrase the question like this:
If you have a Rev A Macbook Air please can you tell me how Garageband functions, using up to 8 tracks of software intruments and perhaps recording in 1 track of audio. Can it cope with up to 16 tracks (software instruments only). This only need be with the Garageband application open, nothing else.
-Please can you tell me also which processor speed, hard drive capacity and hard drive type you have.
Thanks in advance. (Reposted as I realise most people won't own both models of Rev A to compare, my question was phrased badly first time.)

Ive got BOTH the Pro and AIr youre interested in, for what YOU say you want, Id get the Air.
Since you said you were only going to "some graphic/plan design programs", the Air is perfect for moderate Photo editing.
and you said no games.
Air has fewer parts, only one moving part (the fan), lite as an Ipad (almost) but a full powered computer.
No HD heads to crash, fewer parts = simplicity = less to fault.
Runs cooler than anything else out there (which = durability).  Heat is a killer on a scale of 10X over that of accidents.
Pack around a regular notebook around about 20 days, then an Air, .....after that the standard laptops stays at home.
Air is the only Mac that has Haswell, 802ac wifi, and incredible 12hr. batt life in 13" I5.
Get the 13" much longer battery life, and the screen real estate is better, Ive owned both 11" and 13".     13" also has an SD card slot the 11" doesnt have.

  • Can you please give some feedback for my new website

    Hey guys
I recently launched a new website. Its of freelance niche.
    http://www.zumzzy.com/
Brief Intro of the site: Basically here the freelancers can list their services, upload their portfolio, contact details etc.
And a person looking for such services can directly contact him through the email or IM ids. And the most important point is its FREE for both client and contractor
Its more of directory nature than a usual freelancing sites where you have to post your project and the freelancer can bid on your project.
I need some feedback on UI and UI experience of user. Do you think the design is conveying the concept of the site.
    Thanks in advance

The search menu is over emphasized and the text looks unbalanced.  You should work in a second typeface to make certain elements more interesting or stand out more.  Featured free lancers should be up in the top tier of the layout so smaller browsers do not have to scroll.  "How It Works" is also too big and out of balance.  It is a good start with some rethinking in the overall appearance and concept.  Look at some professional web sites who do similar things like list dentists, lawyers, and doctors.  Think brand and professional corporate identity.  I do not like the hand drawn arrow or clip art.  Work instructions into the sub head under the search box.  Focus on the sketch, not the software.  Get everything laid out either by hand in sketches or an Illustrator template.  Initially, I think the user will find it useful. A little more work on design.

  • Can any MacBook Air owners help with CS2 installation?

I had the old Photoshop CS2 disk installed on a 2006 MacBookPro, which crashed before I could deactivate, etc. Bought a 2013 MacBook Air. Hooked it to a disk drive before learning that CS2 disks are obsolete. Contacted Adobe and was provided a download link and new Serial Number instead. Successfully downloaded CS2 from their link to my MacBookAir but keep getting this vague error message when I try to install: The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. I went back to the Help Chat thinking that was "contacting the software manufacturer" but was sent to the Forums instead. I know I have enough storage space available. I wish the error code was specific, so I'd know what to try... Any tips?

Then there's no way of installing or running CS2 on Yosemite.

  • Buttons in a movieclip react too slow (AIR all versions - in Android: impossible to use)

    Hi to all,
I'm just correcting the title (or subject) of this post:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3438581#3438581
("adobe? seems there is a bug in buttons behaviour!! (not really air only)")
Adobe team, please give some feedback. Can't go on with Android app.
or maybe somebody knows a workaround?
(similar problems with buttons created with movieclips via actionscript.. project stalled)

to troubleshooting the bug (seems not to be just a bug; seems to be something worst at low level of AIR kernel at movieclips mechanism):
with an android device (I'm using Sambsung Galaxy Tab - 7" display resolution) go to Android Market, search for 'mc2labs' and select 'Mc2labs Realpad debug version'.
NB please note: 'DEBUG VERSION' only helps to debug:
    two standard "Enter" buttons:
the left one is on main timeline, the right one is on a movieclip (on main timeline). note the difference on the black board on the left:
mouse events for "on main timeline"  button works fine
mouse events for "on mc" button doest NOT work fine

  • Why can't Apple give us some feedback re blank purchased app screen

There have been numerous complaints about purchased apps not being able to be downloaded due to blank screen.
WHY CAN'T APPLE PROVIDE SOME FEEDBACK????

These are user-to-user forums consisting on people like you. The only Apple employees are the Hosts who keep the wheels from falling off the forums and break up the occasional donnybrook. So no one who posts here can speak for Apple.

  • Where Can we Download the "old" speedgrade ... so we can give better feedback for integration?

Where can we download the "old" speedgrade, so we can give better feedback for integration with aftereffects and premiere.   I haven't used speedgrade, but I'm assuming it's like Davinci Resolve ... color grading is something you have to play around with a bit, to give decent feedback on integration.  On one extreme, I like the ease of aftereffect composites.  On the other hand, using graph operators (such as in Resolve and things like blender) ... is real nice ... but it's really not how i do work on the adobe side.   I'm looking for a color grading approach that isn't for tier 1 film, but more for tier 2, independant and/or corporate work.   I'd also love the ability to mix special effect compositing (like I currently do with AE), with coloring (which I currently have to do in in another program).   I also have two work streams I would like to test, one RED and another 1080p for normal corporate stuff (which i currently don't color grade btw).
Anyway, I see some wierd links on downloading the old speedgrade, I don't see any download links on the speedgrade web page ... would be nice to see what the old speed grade does so I can comment competently.

Adobe SpeedGrade CS6 is at the door, official preview will be held at NAB, I'm currently testing a preview version of SG CS6 and I want to say that it works very well, so stay tuned on the Adobe website.
I tried to "stay tuned",  here on this Adobe Website ...and your post is the first confirmation that Adobe Speedgrade still has any sign of a beating heart.
Totally dissapointed in Adobe for lack of SG communication to keep my interest up.
Regardless of that, I am looking forward to seeing it.
    EDIT:
Speedgrade In CS6...brilliant to see it is now "a reality" ...and so excited and looking forward to checking it out.

  • I found iPad and I want to give it back how I can know who is owner it

    Hello
    My name is Ahmed karim
Before few days I found ipad3 with my friends and we keep trying to know who the owner and was locked with key
And we keep trying to know so please any one from support tell us how we can communicated with the owner or
Like tell me the steps or some one call me
    Thank you
    <Personal Information Edited By Host>

You can run an ad, have the original owner give you the serial number to confirm that it's theirs.
Devices are locked with an activation lock, so it can't be wiped, and since it has a passcode it can't be accessed without being wiped. So you eitehr turn it over to the police, run an ad, or simply toss it. It can't be used.

I have a Macbook Air that had some coffee spilled on the keyboard and as a result the plus/equals key is no longer functioning. Can I use a program like Ukelele to re-program another key to do that function? Can I re-program a function key to do this function?

Water + electronics do not mix.  Something was damaged insode, and the logic board may be corroding as is.
Take it to a Genius Bar for an evaluation and repair estimate.

  • Can somebody give some real time questions for alv report

    hi guru
can somebody give some real time questions for alv report.
    answers also.
    regards
    subhasis.

    hi,
The ALV is a set of function modules and classes and their methods which are added to program code. Developers can use the functionality of the ALV in creating new reports,  saving time which might otherwise have been spent on report enhancement
The common features of report are column    alignment, sorting, filtering, subtotals, totals etc. <b>To implement these, a lot of coding and logic is to be put. To avoid that we can use a concept called ABAP List Viewer (ALV).</b>
Using ALV, we can have three types of reports:
       1. Simple Report
       2. Block Report
       3. Hierarchical Sequential Report
    <b>Reward useful points</b>

  • Insane but fun 3D web game - please give me some feedback

It takes a few minutes to get into but if you ever wanted to wrestle a poltergeist, have a snowball fight with Satan or just like seeing trippy patterns while you shoot things...
    http://www.worldzone.net/arts/mike
It's not finished yet, and I really wanted it to be before I submitted it to the forum but I can't go further on this without feedback and no-one's more qualified than you guys!
    Thank you.

    Thanks all :-)
Tirppy, yet strangely cool. I couldn't quite figure out
what was going on from just playing it, but it looked cool.I'll add frames to the walkthrough page so you can read the help while playing...
I did have troubles idenifing what ball of pixels was from which
element... might i suggest changing the shape as well as colour? This is a problem especially at distance, but I need spirit shapes for different levels (nonentity to God). I'll probably make the dots more distinctive or think of something clever...
haha, I love that syle, did you make the engine yourself and
if so, how long have you been developing it?All mine but for some sound effects & double-buffering. On & off for months, still going :-)
The controls are kinda tough. I just let the autopilot do all the work.Let me know what's tough (I don't know cos I'm used to it). I can probably change it with one variable!
    Please keep the feedback coming!

  • When encore fails - give us some feedback please.

I'd like feedback as to why the transcodes fail.  Instead of Operation Failed.... can't we get the programme tell us why?
Dodgy footage, corrupt file, miscalculation on Encore's part, sorry, try that again.  Some feedback would help to diagnose the problem more quickly otherwise its taking hundreds and thousands of hours out of the lives of the collective Encore user group.

You can submit a feature request, but we have to assume that adobe programmers include specific information when they can.  I would also like to have more information about a variety of errors, but I suspect that some are easier to address than others.  There is a cost benefit issue to what programmers spend time on.  Is Encore still based on the sonic engine?  I suspect that provides some limits to error reporting as well.

I have an iPhone 3GS and it recently started to make a Cicada type of sound when pushing the close button on the top right hand of the phone. Can anybody give me feedback on what this is or how I might be able to fix it?

It will be replaced with the exact same model. It is not expensive compared to the full retail price of a new phone (without carrier subsidies).
If you're eligible for an upgrade from your carrier, now might be a good time to consider upgrading to an iPhone 5, though.
