Can RH6 Demo copy co-exist with RoboHelp 5X?

Can I install the free trial copy of R6 without uninstalling
5X? I don't want to do this if it will mess up my X5 installation.
I'm currently testing on a different machine, but I also need to
test on a machine that also has X5. I know to back up my documents
from X5 first. I just want to know if I can install and run
the trial version of RH6 without messing up my X5 installation.
And, if I can do this, are there any installation and
de-installation tricks I need to know for RH6 in this situation?

Whilst you can run the full versions on the same PC, I
wouldn't go there with the trial of RH6. If you don't upgrade, you
might have a whole bunch of problems.

Is it possible if I have my own disk driver mysd co-exist with standard 'sd' driver.
My driver mysd has to detect LUNs exported by myStorBox (our storage box)
and manage them while sd driver handle all LUNs connected to the system except myStorBox?
Both will be scsi class target drivers. How to configure mysd.conf or sd.conf or both
to achive the selective handling of devices?
My guess is that 'sd' driver will detect all scsi LUNs (based on the info
given in sd.conf) including any LUNs exported by myStorBox. If mysd driver
loads after sd driver (how to ensure this), it will be given a chance to probe all LUNs. mysd driver
would look at the serial numbers and find out if they are from myStorBox.
If they are from myStorBox, then it will claim these LUNs. At this point what
happens to the device instances claimed by sd driver already for the LUNs
from myStorBox?

The answer is "yes, but..."
To make the long story short, don't compete with sd,
use it.
Stack over it and let it handle the regular disk
stuff, do extra stuff in your driver.I tried to create a filter driver sitting on top of sd driver but was unable to
get scsi sense data when an IO fails. Our storage box reports its
internal path failover through SCSI Unit Attention which is consumed
by sd driver. Hence thinking of the painful task of competing with
sd driver. I would really appreciate how to co-exist with sd driver
but for only the disks exported by our storage box ?

Can no longer copy and paste with new version. Articles you provided did not help.

When I try to copy and paste in firefox it says I can't do it any longer. It's a security issue, and the "learn more" tab gives some abstruse directions about completely closing firefox, and then getting back in without opening it to a place I can't find.
Could you please tell me how to re-enable these necessary functions in an understandable way?

Is this only on one website? some websites disable copy and pasting for various reasons.
If this happens on every website, have you tried to start Firefox up in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]? It may be an extension causing the problem.
Also, go ahead and update to Firefox 11, since it does have several bug fixes (I don't recall anything related to copy and paste, but give it a go [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com] )
Or, you may have some sort of virus which is interfering with your copy and paste. Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]

Can CS 5.5 co-exist with CS4?

OK here's the story
I am using Win 7 - 64 bit, with 4 GB memory, approximately 9 TB storage. I have used CS 4 since it was released, bought CS 5 (did not install it) then I bought CS 5.5, installed it yesterday. I wanted to keep both CS 4 & CS 5.5 on the same computer since CS4 was doing good (not crashing too much). After I installed CS 5.5, I opened and converted a CS 4 project to test CS 5.5. It seemed to work. Today I came in and tried to open the same project, CS5.5 crashed every time I tried to open it. I then tried to open the project in CS 4, but it would not let me. Since the client was here for the final edit, I had to un-install CS 5.5, so I could open the project in CS 4 and complete it. So the question is - If I re-install CS 5.5 on my edit computer that has CS 4 on it, can I keep both versions without problems?
Another question..... I keep two edit systems in operation (sitting beside each other) the second edit system as a backup for tight deadlines. I also have to take my laptop on locations to edit. Can I install CS 5.5 on the two main edit computers and CS 5 on my laptop... if so, will CS 5 open a project saved in CS 5.5?

There is no reason that having Premiere Pro CS4 and Premiere Pro CS5.5 on the same computer should cause problems. Most people around here have multiple versions on the same comptuer without problems.
Please file a detailed bug report so that we can look into what's causing your specific crashing problem.

Can I copy an existing LR catalog to a new disc?

I have installed a new primary disc (C: in Windows 7 Pro) and re-downloaded LR4.2 release candidate. Can I simply copy the existing LR catalog (which I have on old disk, still accessible via USB, or from several backup copies) to the new disc and LR will work as it did previously. Yes, you can do a copy and the catalog should work.
If the drive letters have changed where your photos are stored, the easiest way to get everything to work is to go into Windows and change the drive letters to what they used to be, so that your photos are now on the same drive as before. Alternatively, you can reconnect the folders (right-click on the top level folder and select "Find Missing Folder")

CAN REDHAT CLUSTER CO-EXIST WITH OCFS FOR APPLICATION CLUSTERING

We have an existing, operational 10.2.0.3 RAC configuration running w/OCFS2 and ASM on Redhat AS 4. A shared filesystem was requested to be created on the two rac nodes and shared via Samba to a Windows server. OCFS2 does not supply a floating vip for automatic failover so the Linux techs are wanting to install RedHat Cluster to provide this functionality. Can the Redhat cluster co-exist with OCFS and what limitations/problems might we encounter? And is there another solution that we have not thought of??

ASM and OCFS have absolutely nothing to do with VIPS. VIPs are defined in /etc/host and in tnsnames.ora ... they are networking parameters not storage parameters.
They want to install RedHat cluster? I'd see if I could get a court restraining order to keep their hands off the servers until they read the documentation. Good grief!

I want to copy edited files to a second computer, do I need to export the catalog or can I just copy

I find that I edit files on my laptop but I want the files, with their edits to reside on my desktop computer also.
I had been exporting the folder as a Catalog, but can't think of shy I can't just copy the folder with both the RAW and XMP files and import the folder on the Desktop PC. This option seems to work just as well as the catalog option.
Any reason I should choose one way over the other?

Unfortunately the use case you describe hasn't been implemented in Firefox. It's not possible to move a tab group out to its own window at this point. Generally the tab groups feature hasn't been worked on much recently, not sure why.
As to TabMixPlus, that's a third-party add-on which Mozilla doesn't directly support. You can find support links from the add-on page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/

How can I copy an existing project?

I am using RoboHelp 9 on a virtual server.
I copied the entire folder of original project.
Named New Folder the name of 2nd project.
Can;t find copied project when I view open projects in robohelp.
I am very new to this but I desparately need to copy my original project asap as of next week, there will be two versions of the product and I will need to keep the two projects separate.

You're on the right track.
Copy the folder to a new location.
From RoboHelp, click File > Open and navigate to the new location.
Open the ProjectName.xpj file you should find there.
After you open the project, click File > Rename Project and give it a new name.

How can I copy forms along with information?

Ok, I started a new job last week as an Office Assistant. Being I came from a place (family business) where I had to do whatever, whenever, I have to get adjusted to NOT doing everything myself....they have depts for that. Anyway, right before I got here, the IT guy left on not so good terms. I have been asked to convert some PDF files into WORD b/c for SOME reason the IT guy only allowed 2 pages per PDF form. So there are several files for one topic. I know I can merge them, but I need to be able to have it where the individuals who will be using the forms don't have to do anything but fill them out and type. We have many who are NOT computer literate nor do they want to be. They know how to do what they need to do and don't want to learn anything EXRA if they can help it.
I can copy/paste the information into WORD yet the fill-in information does not go nor does the lines for the form format. Now, there is over 1,000 of these I have to do and I want to attempt to NOT have to re-fill each individual form in.
Well, we use AA8 and I have a few questions of what I need to do and see if you can help.
1. Is there a way to copy the form WITH the filled in information. If so, how?
2. How can I tansfer ALL of the form (outline & all) into WORD?
3. Is there a program that can convert from PDF to WORD EXACTLY as PDF is currently. Ones I have tried it doesn't look the same AT all?
4. Will 9 convert EVERYTHING, form, filled in info etc?
This is confidential information that needs to be transfered so the online converters is not an option.
ALSO, the WORD template that they want it in is COMPLETELY different and can't really work with. I do feel the IT guy did this to keep anyone else from doing anything and he would be the only one (he was a cocky one) SO I'm stuck and attempting to get this started until they get a new IT guy.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, I have overworked myself attempting to figure this out

Ok first off, Graffiti LOVE your icon. And you do make complete sense and as for try, I kinda figured that was the case. One folder with all the files ARE in word, yet these are in PDF in another folder. Why they were not all done in Word at the time I have NO clue. I'm going to assume it was the IT guy's idea.
I'm sitting here stressing b/c I can't find a way to do this and now I find out it's not a good idea to have ANYTHING in PDF as well as NOT being able to transfer to word with in reason and to make it look as it did.
So what it boils down to is I will ultimately have to do it individual and convert on my own. Pretty much make a new format in Word and transfer all the information one at a time, GREAT. My 2nd week here at work and this is what I have to look forward to FOREVER lol
I will, however, make me a format I can handle and easy to do, idiot proof as it were.
I appreciate all of your information. In the back of my mind, I knew the answer, but wanted to clarify before going to my supervisor (who has NO clue about computers or the fact some things can't be done. more of why CAN'T I do it, you know) and see what I can do from there.
The man purpose is to have continous access to that file instead of multiples b/c of the IT limiting PDF to 2 pages. YAY for me

Use a two steps to use a backup file to restore a database with a new name.
----You need to have a full backup of your database:
