Can royalty free music purchased in itunes be used on youtube?

I would like to make video on Final Cut Pro X and would like to know where I can get royalty free music that I can add to my video to post on youtube? I have read a lot of info where people think they have acceptable music only to find out it is not acceptable.
Can FCP X sound effects and music be used?
Can royalty free music purchased on iTunes be used?
Thank You

The standard copy protected songs from iTunes can only be played on iPods, iPhones and iTunes enabled Motorola phones. I'm afraid it's against forum rules to discuss ways around this - "Do not submit software or descriptions of processes that break or otherwise ‘work around’ digital rights management software or hardware. • How can I add music purchased from iTunes to my iPod?

I haven't added any music to my iPod in quite a while but I recently purchased an alblum on iTunes but I can't get it transferred to my iPod.  This should be an easy procedure, I think, but an hour and a half of frustration is all I have received.

  • I can't play music purchased from iTunes on other devices

I purchased some songs via iTunes store today. I then copied them to my daughter's music player (a Mattel product) only, but they won't play. They show up on the device's folder when connected to my computer, but they don't show up or play on the device.
I know they can only be transferred to three devices, but this is the first device for these songs
Does iTunes block their songs from being played on non-Apple products?
The Mattel Product is the Kids MP3 Boombox, Model # 1636110

Not for recent purchases, but the songs may need to be converted to MP3 to work on non-Apple devices.

  • Can Adobe Premiere and Audition "Royalty Free" music files be used for "commercial" projects?

I apologize for not being able to find this answer on my own but can anybody please answer this:  Can Adobe Premiere and Audition "Royalty Free" music files be used for "commercial" projects?

    SusieBird
Are you using any version of Premiere Elements? Or, is it that you are really asking about some version of Premiere Pro and Audition?
If the latter, please refer to
    Premiere Pro
    Audition CS5.5, CS6 & CC
In the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum in which your thread has been posted, it has always been written by others (Bill Hunt, Steve Grisetti) that
Premiere Elements users can use Premiere Elements assets for commercial projects. I do not use Audition, so I cannot speak to the Audition situation.
We are a user to user forum here and not Adobe. The ultimate answers on this would be from Adobe itself to avoid what is written and what is written between
    the lines.

If the music is embedded in the app and not available separately, then you can't.

If you can't remember your password or security answers and don't have access to the email address (you didn't have a rescue email address on the account ?) then you can try contacting Support in your country and seeing if you can get the password reset and access to the account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 (they should also be able to reset the security questions)
If you can then update the primary email address on the account to be an address that you have access to.

  • Royalty free music that doesn't suck

I'm not a music composer (and I don't play one on TV) but I am someone who needs music for projects sometimes, mainly video modules for conference openers. The big problem is that, more often than not, my clients aren't willing to pay for an audio engineer/composer to do up a custom track for them. I know, in the big scheme of things, that this is cheaper than me sitting for hours/days sifting through websites with royalty free music but they see the price tag for custom work and freak out.
So, since Google will allow you to pay to up your placement in their searches, I am fed up with searching sites that suck and thought that, while it doesn't exactly have to do with fine Adobe products (of which I've purchased several [including Audition], spending many thousands of dollars over the years, for any Adobe personnel out there who might read this post and doesn't think it applies to this product), I thought I'd come to this forum and ask you people directly if you know of any sites with RFM that don't suck. You know what I mean, if I have to hear another 60 sec. clip of "atmospheric strings", I may just puke. I did try to find an audio forum to ask this question on but, once again, Google let me down.
There's simply got to be some music library out there somewhere that's fairly consistently good, or at least the amount of corporate hoaky blech is at a minimum. Or maybe you, as a composer, have your own site with decent stuff that doesn't appear within the first 100 returns of a Google search. Please, let me know! I've got a project I'm working on right now where I'm in a similar bind with a client who thinks they're David Foster without the audio board and doesn't understand that all this costs money, even if it's only $39.95 (and the additional hours of all my searching). They also don't understand that just because they own the CD doesn't mean you're allowed to set pictures to it and call it your own. And if I have to listen to "Simply the Best" used in another video, I may just scream.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

I have been using IB Audio for years. Ian is a great composer (and nice guy). It's a yearly membership or by the track. The membership is the best value. For one price you get HUNDREDS of tracks and loops.

Ps exuse My english hope you'll understand

The only way to get songs on an iPhone is by synching the songs from your iTunes library, or purchasing them from the iTunes store on your phone.
You can search yourself for sites that offer free music.

  • Looking for free royalty-free music for imovie slideshow

    hi there,
i wanted to score my imovie slideshow with some free royalty-free music. can anyone suggest any sites where i can find it? i need about 1 1/2 - 3 mins., instrumental, easy listening or pop. thanks in advance.

Are you selling your slideshow or just using it for yourself and friends? If not, I don't think you need worry about licensing. You can just use music from your itunes folder for personal use. If you are using it in a commercial sense, then use look for royalty free. I posted royalty free question once, but what i really meant was where to find music and what sounds good. Also, imovie has some jingles that are instrumental. Some go for over a minute.

  • Royalty free music is not syncing with FCP? HELP!!!

    Hey Everyone,
So this is an odd one. I've stepped in to help a friend who can't get the audio to line up from Royalty Free Music to sync with the video timeline of his project. It's a ballroom workout dvd where it's all one take. They used the mp3's downloaded from Royalty free Music.com and imported them into the timeline. What's odd is the tempo goes in and out of time with the dancer (who certainly isn't the issue with tempo). So it seems as if the tempo speeds up some and then is a little slower. They filmed this with only her mic on, and the dancer listening to a Sansa mp3 player.
My first fix was to convert all mp3's in QT to AIFF files. When I relined them up...same issue. One song would seem a little more in tempo, then another would seem off.
I would have also thought perhaps a processor issue on their Mac. Same issue with my PowerMAc and MacBook Pro. So I don't think that's it.... WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!!!???
    Please help...thanks!

    Hi -
The weak link in all of this appears to me to be the Sansa Mp3 player. It was not designed, nor should it have been, to maintain accurate speed playback. It is highly likely it was speed drifting during the duration of the playback. Even if it is 99% accurate, it would still be a second out of sync for every 100 seconds of playing - which is very apparent of syncing dance moves.
If you have ever seen or participated in a professional production in which music playback is an essential part, you will see the great lengths taken to preserve sync on the set and in the edit bay = with specialized audio playback devices that lock to the camera.
Also, I assuming that the talent listened to the Mp3 player with in ear headphones while the microphone was left open to record voice, so that you do not have a recording of the music in the clear to use in the edit and must use the sound files.
    Two suggestions:
    1) If the Sansa Mp3 player still has the material on it, hook it up to a camera and record the player playing the music to videotape. If you are very lucky, the player may playback in a similar way (with similar drifts in speed) to when it played back to the shoot. Digitize that video tape and see if the audio syncs any better. Most likely it won't, but this is worth a try and can be done fairly easily and is worth a shot.
    2) Manually sync the head of each song, then see how far off it is at the end. You can adjust the playing speed of the sound file in FCP (with the new speed change window, you can just enter a new duration) and you will have to go through and keep adjusting until you get an acceptable level of sync. If the songs were crossfaded, you will need to establish sync then re-do the cross fades between the correctly synced tracks.
    Hope this helps.
