Can SAPSID and DBSID be different in DB2 UDB 9.5?

Except in MCOD, can they be different in a non-MCOD system?
If yes, what will be the benefit for this?

Hello Linda,
yes, it can be different. But, in my opinion, there would not be any benefit. It simply has to do with your personal taste. If you don't have any reason to choose two different values, I would recommend you not to use different IDs since this helps avoiding confusion. But, as I mentioned, you're free to do so.

I am a fresh BASIS professional and this is my recent issue. Please be patient in order to read this long post and please post your valuable feedbacks.
SCENARIO:
I want to rename both SAPSID and DBSID.
SYSTEM PARTICULARS:
OS: Windows 2003 Server.
DB: Oracle 10.2.0.1
SAP: ECC 6.0 SR2 ABAP+JAVA
SAPSID and DBSID (old): SEZ
SAPSID and DBSID (new): SDF
THE PROCESS:
After an extensive research I have come up with the process to do that. Please take a look below:
1. RENAMING THE DBSID
u2022Mount the database after a clean shutdown
u2022Invoke the DBNEWID utility (nid) specifying the new DBNAME from the command line using a user with SYSDBA privilege:
nid TARGET=sys/password@SEZ DBNAME=SDF
u2022Use Y in the change database ID prompt as shown below:
Change database ID and database name SEZ to SDF? (Y/[N]) => Y
u2022Shutdown the database.
u2022Modify the DB_NAME parameter in the initialization parameter file. The startup will result in an error but proceed anyway.
STARTUP MOUNT
ALTER SYSTEM SET DB_NAME=SDF SCOPE=SPFILE;
SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE
u2022Create a new password file:
orapwd file= D:\oracle\SEZ\102\database\pwdSDF.ora password=password entries=10
u2022Rename the SPFILE to match the new DBNAME.
u2022Recreate the service so the correct name and parameter file are used:
oradim -delete -sid SEZ
oradim -new -sid SEZ -intpwd password -startmode a -pfile D:\oracle\SEZ\102\database\spfileSDF.ora
u2022Alter the listener.ora and tnsnames.ora setting to match the new database name and restart the listener:
lsnrctl reload
u2022Open the database with RESETLOGS:
STARTUP MOUNT
ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;
u2022Backup the database.
2. Then Uninstall the SAP system
3. From SAP INSTALLATION MASTER, use SYSTEM COPY option providing the SAPSID as SDF.
THE QUESTION:
Please check the above method and tell me if this will work or not?

Ok, as i said you should do the whole procedure with sapinst, first you export the original system. Then you re-install it with the new SID. During the reinstall (it is like a new install) you also install the Oracle software to the new ORALCE_HOME. This means of course that you also have to deinstall the existing Oracle software (and the original SAP system as well). This is the only procedure that works if a java stack is involved. Be sure, you have sufficent disk space for the export dump and the new system.
And by the way 11.2.0.1 is indeed supported, it is the 11.1.x.x releases that are not supported...

Weblogic and Db2 UDB V8 64 bit

We are planning to migrate our db2 udb instance to V8.2 64 bit on SunOS. Currently we are on DB2 V81 32 bit using weblogic. We'd like to know what are the Weblogic Versions that are certified by BEA to support on db2 udb V8.2 32 and 64 bit instances on SunOS. And how to get weblogic to talk to Db2 UDB V8.2 64 bit instances?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

DB2 Universal Database (UDB) 7.1, 7.2, and 8.1 on Windows NT, Windows 2000,

There's more to it than that.
Folders in Aperture do not hold Images. They hold Projects and Albums. You cannot put an Image in a Folder without putting it in a Project or an Album inside that Folder.
The relationship between Projects and Images is special: every Image must in a Project, and can be in only one Project.
Images can be in as many Albums you want. Putting an Image in an Album does not move it from the Project that holds it.
You can make as many Versions from a Master as you want.
What you want to do may appear simple to you, but it still much adhere to how Aperture works. I still can't tell exactly what you are trying to do (specifically: Images don't live in Folders; moving an Image from a Folder is non-sensical).
It can be very confusing (and frustrating) to get going with Aperture -- but it does work, and can be enormously helpful. If you haven't, take a look at the video tutorials on Apple's Aperture support site.
I feel as though I haven't helped you much -- but we need to be using the same names for interface items in order to get anything done -- and my sense is that you still haven't learned the names of the parts.

I have a couple of steps for you to try in order to get those songs transferred to your iPod touch. First, make sure all of your software is updated with the latest versions. If the songs were downloaded from iTunes, you will also want to delete the songs from your library and then download them again from the list of past purchases on your iTunes account. If you try a sync after those two steps and are still seeing the issue, then I would like you to try syncing the iPod by setting it to manually manage. An article outlining more information on manually managing your iPod sync can be found here:

Hi Rosdy, to get the most out of iCloud it is recommended that you use the same account between devices. Thus whenever you buy something on your phone it becomes accessible from your laptop regardless of whether your synced it over usb or not. *

To the best of my knowledge, Windows is not capable of setting a specific sound card based on the app being used, it's all or nothing.

The Finder reports File information. The date and time of the photo are in the Photo's Exif metadata. The Finder has no awareness of this. All photos apps on any system do.

First, that statement - and those materials - refer to the "legacy" StreamInsight query/adapter model. They do not refer to how things work with the Reactive model introduced in version 2.1. Specifically, it talks about Dynamic Query Composition (DQC).
You cannot use a deployed Observable in another instance of StreamInsight. You may be able to use them across applications in the same instance - off the top of my head, I'm not sure. I'm getting ready to get on a plane but will take a look at it later.
Typically, however, applications act as containers (comparable to .NET AppDomains) so I don't think that you'd be able to do this easily. That said, the code and assemblies
can be reused across multiple instances/applications. You would have separate instances of the classes involved but you would be able to reuse the query logic. That's a common use case.
Can you be more specific about your use case and what you are trying to accomplish here? It's possible that there are alternative ways to do what you are trying to do.

My wife and I have different taste in music and I have been using her apple account to buy all my music. Well needless to say we are filling up our ipads, ipods, and iphones with each others music. I just got a new computer for my birthday (thanks to my wife who is sick of me using hers) and would like to keep all of the music I purchased on my new account. I am still using her for this question:) Can this be done? I have spent a lot of money on this music and don't want to lose it all. Please help:(

What does "what was already downloaded to my wife's computer " refer to? If its music that's been bought as digital downloads (e.g., from the iTunes store) then the issue I referred to earlier applies (plus, in the case of iTunes purchase, it may not be playable if you're using a different Apple ID in iTunes). The approach of copying content from your wife's computer to yours is valid if it is the result of importing your music from your CDs into iTunes.

This issue occurs with most of the PDFs that I open up. I am using the latest version of adobe reader on my windows based machine and it is a general PDF. I saw a similar post online stating that if you look at the fonts used in the document and it doesn't say (Embedded) next to it, then Adobe Reader will try to pull the font(s) from your computer and if it doesn't find that font then it will replace it which makes it look funny.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.
