Can screensaver not start when front row is active?

Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way to set the screensaver not to start, but only when Front Row is active. I want it to start all the other times.

there is an option in front row settings to deactivate screensaver when FR is on.

Hi everyone,
My screensaver will not start when iTunes is running (also Spotify). When the app is closed, the screensaver starts when it's supposed to (5 min. in my case, but have tried other time limits). I've tried changing mouse settings and even shutting it off to see if that's the cause but it didn't help. I use the MacMini as a home theater computer hooked up to my plasma so I need the screensaver to work. In the meantime, I've been using hot corners to force screensaver, but I would love for it to start automatically when music is playing. I've tried rebooting, resetting, but to no avail.
Has anyone else had this issue or know what the problem is?
I'm running MacMini brand new. Mavericks 10.9.1. Latest iTunes.

I don't normally use the screensaver. However when I tested it, I get the same results while iTunes is running.

You need to contact the developer/manufacturer directly to determine if their product is compatible w/Yosemite. It is not listed on their system requirement website:

ITunes Rental Movies Do Not Play in Front Row on Computer

Surely I cannot be the only person who would like to watch a rented iTunes movie on my computer using Front Row?
My iTunes library is on an external drive and when I open and browse Front Row, everything BUT the rented movies appear in my movie list. Purchased movies are there, video podcasts are there, home movies are there, just not the rented ones. Why is that?
I don't have an Apple TV, just a laptop an external drive and a desire to watch rented movies through an application designed to play ALL my media, not just select media.
And I haven't seen any info on Apple's website to indicate that rentals would not work with Front Row. And I do have all the latest Apple software updates.

Front Row in Mac OS X 10.5.x (Leopard) has access to your iTunes and iPhoto libraries without launching those applications. You're right, rented moves don't appear in Front Row and there have been a couple of Front Row updates since rented moves became available. The only thing I can think of is that the rental terms can't be enforced when the movie is played in Front Row instead of iTunes. For example, Front Row's access to your iTunes library is really read-only. You can't delete files, apply ratings or change any other settings on the files in your library through Front Row. I think the way iTunes handles rental movies, the file has to be updated with some kind of tag when you start to play it so iTunes knows how much longer you have to finish playing it. So, it's doubtful Front Row will be able to do this. I don't think Apple has ever made a statement one way or the other about this, it's just my opinion.

Photosmart do not start when I push power ON/OFF

My printer did not start when I push the ON/OFF button. The power supply is in order.I dont use the printer frecvent. Some days ago I found that the color patrons was bad; I run a cleaning by the HD maintence program.When I today was going to put new colors the printer was dead!The printer is conected by a USB cable to my Pavillion500-317no computer.

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting, but it can clear some glitches after installing new software or apps.

Itunes will not start when ipod is connected

3G nano ipod when connected to windows xp,, Windows Expoler opens and shows ipod as "M" drive. But itunes starts only when I click icon on my desktop and dose not start when ipod is connected. When itunes runs it sees my ipod and all works fine. I have the box under Devices checked to start itunes when ipod connected. Thanks for your help

Are you talking about the *Open iTunes when this iPod is connected* option from under your iPod's Summary tab? If not, make sure you have this option ticked as well.
It might not hurt to try and remove and re-install iTunes and all Apple related software using these instructions.

My aipport does not start when plugged in. The light does not come on at all. If there some kind of a reset switch?

With no light at all, unfortunately it is likely that an internal component in the AirPort Express has failed.
The reset switch is next to the audio jack. Try a different AC socket. With the AirPort Express plugged into power, hold in the reset button for 8-10 seconds, then release.
If successful, the AirPort Express will restart to a solid amber light for 30-35 seconds, then begin to slowly blink amber after 40-45 seconds.
If you try the reset a few times with no success, I'm afraid that the AirPort Express has failed and will need to be replaced.

Web calendar interfase not started when starting http server

Hi, I installed CS succesfully, the calendar server is working fine.
My problem is that the web interfase is not started when starting the HTTP server.
I checked the log files of the http server and I saw this:

You will have to report this problem to the Oracle Support organization.
They will most probably want to see your web configuration file, the httpd.conf, as well as the appropriate logs.

PC does not start when pressing the power button, After that starts automatically like a ghost!

I have HP Pavilion a6030in, My pc does not start when i press ther power button, but it starts after sometime automatically after that it works fine.
Again when i shutdown and leave it for sometime, and still the problem is unsolved.

CSMONITOR not starting when calendar starts?

Why does csmonitor not start when the calendar server starts? Is it not supposed to? I have it configured in the ics.conf file to run in looping mode, and check every 30 minutes. But if I don't actually go and start it manually...it never runs (no entries in the csmonitor log).
If I start it manually... (/opt/SUNWics5/cal/sbin/csmonitor) ...then it just starts spitting a bunch of info to the screen and I have to kill the processes before it will go away.
What's the method for getting csmonitor to start up when the calendar services start?

Yep....it's been set that way for months and we've restarted the calendar services many times. It's not been a hot issue, but I just noticed that we had a problem a few days ago, and if the csmonitor had been running I would have been notified.
So...it is set correctly...but still is not running.

Are you using Windows? This tells you how to restart the AMDS for Windows.
