Can send forwarded e-mail but cannot receive

I have been accessing e-mail on my Palm-pre through inbox. com.  In other words my mail is forwarded to my palm through inbox. com.  I received an error message stating that my space on inbox was full and I could no longer receive messages.  I deleted and trashed the e-mails and now am able to log in to inbox and receive messages but they are no longer being forwarded to my Palm.  I can also send e-mail messages from my Palm.  However, the error message still reads (Unable to Sign in Message from server "Err sorry, data limit reached").  I have also shut down the phone a couple of times (this worked once before when I wasn't receiving mail) and I have removed the battery twice but the error message does not change.  The message at the bottom envelope reads (i Inbox Unable to sign in).  Suggestions?

Are we supposed to guess what the error messages are that you get? We can't help unless you provide some information. We can not see your iPad so can not see the error messages.

  • I send mail but cannot receive any in Outlook 2007. Is it FF?

Hi all, MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM GREECE!!!
I am a Webnode user and i have created an email account with my domain ([email protected]). I created an account to Outlook Express 2007, setting POP3 and STMP and "...requires authentication..." as i should. I can send email through OE but i can't receive any, even if i ask Webnode to forward mails to another active mail account (e.g Gmail). I delete and rewrite the settings to OE "tool" but nothing happens... Is it something to do with Firefox? My firewall maybe?
I am looking forward for your help because it is a professional email account and it slows down my work!!
Thanks for your help in advance!!

  • TS3276 I can send e-mails but cannot receive e-mails

I activated my gmail on my macbook pro (new mac user, older macbook).  I can send messages no problem and I can see them in "sent" folder and receive them on other devices  BUT, I am not receiving messages to the inbox on the mac book mail.
I was told to remove the account and then reinstall it, but I can't figure out how to remove it.
Does anyone know where I can enable mail so I can receive messages?

In order to remove your Gmail Account, go to System Preferences> Mail, Contacts, & Calendar Menu. You will see a column box similar to this:
In order to remove Gmail, click in your Gmail and then go to the "-" sign. Confirm that you want to delete your account. Then launch mail and re-add your Gmail account through the Mail Set Up Assistant.
    Hope this helps!

I can receive e mails but can no longer send them on my iPad 3 after downloading an apple update

several things here, first you want to verify that your outgoing mail server settings match what your email providers outgoing server settings. - may need to contact them to get those. - you can edit those through settings/mail ocntacts, and calenders, tap that account.

  • Can send mail but cannot receive mail?

My machine has been operating fine and all of a sudden I cannot receive mail...?
I've called my internet provider and they cannot figure it out.  My other Mac's are operating fine.  Any suggestions?

    Hi Popeye. You're welcome.
Has Mail ever worked on this computer for this
account? It could be that you haven't configured the
account properly, i.e. haven't chosen the right
authentication method in Preferences > Accounts >
    Advanced, or something like that.
    Hi David,
Yes, my MacMail used to work. At that time, I was on a local ISP, on a dial-up connection. Now I have HughesNet satellite connectivity. Maybe you can verify that my settings are right.
In the Accounts window, all three first boxes are checked (enable this account, include when checking for new mail, remove copy when retrieving from server [after one week]), the next section (prompt me...) is grayed out. I'm taking from port 110, and I have MD5 challenge/response selected.
    Does this sound right?
    Thanks,
    PTP

  • Can send mail but cannot receive

I have my Gmail setup to download via the Mac Mail (v3.6). I'm running OSX 10.5.8.
I've had no problem until 9-Aug-10. At that point the application appears to have stopped downloading any messages. I can send messages fine. When I click "Get Mail", nothing happens for a brief moment, then I here a beep. No messages are downloaded.
Can someone suggest a troubleshooting path?

  • Now I can send eMails when traveling - but trouble RECEIVING them!

I posted this question a few weeks ago and got a great reply which works fine - see following:
When I am in a hotel out of town or overseas- or just anywhere where I don't have my home ISP - how can I not only RECEIVE but also SEND eMail via my Mail program?
I know I can go to the www and use my MobileMe account - but it is easier if I can use Mail and also use my POP as well as my MobileMe account. With Eudora I used to set the smtp for send after looking it up (when I could find it) with Reverse DNS - but how / what do I fill-in with Mail to be able to send as well as receive eMails?
REPLY: If your ISP is like mine, it authenticates you for outgoing e-mail by being able to determine that you're accessing the Internet from within their network. If your ISP is so configured, they'll offer the ability to authenticate to their SMTP server with a password. My ISP does not.
However, MobileMe does provide its own authenticating SMTP server that you should be able to use from anywhere. Try an SMTP server of smtp.mac.com (smtp.me.com will probably also work) with settings of "Use default ports", "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)", and "Authentication" by password, your "User Name" the part of your MobileMe ID before the "at" sign, and your password your MobileMe password.
But now I cannot pull-down my MobileMe eMails directly from Apple's Mail when traveling. I can get my [email protected] (not real address) and I can send via my MobileMe from Mail as instructed above; and I can go to MobileMe and yup, my eMails are there; and I can even get those forwarded to my [email protected] account.
But I always could also RECEIVE my [email protected] eMails directly via my VOO.BE account via Mail - now not. Do I have to have the incoming stmp set differently? At home all works - and until 24 hours ago (36 maybe) - I could receive both - but not now...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
Steve traveling in Kobe, Japan\Sunday 14 February 2010

Hi! Well it is strange as I can receive via my VOO.be account; send via my .Mac account; but here in Japan cannot receive via the .Mac account.
    I have 2 accounts set-up in Mail; but 4 outgoing servers; but I think at least 1 and maybe 2 don't / haven't worked...
But my problem is now incoming. With connection Doctor I show now 6 different things 3 with green lights and 3 with red:
[email protected] --- red, can't connect with or without SSL checked
    VOO Steve eMail --- green
    mail.voo.be -- red, cannot connect
    smtp.me.com:myname --- green OK
    Schulte VOO --- red
    smtp.mail.com -- Green - OK
Again, I think I set-up at least 2 outgoing smtp's that don't work / never worked and that might be confusing this. It was only when I got to Japan that the MobileMe mail wouldn't come into Mail - it goes into MobileMe (cloud) fine - and then I ask it to forward to VOO and that comes in - so I'm thankfully not missing eMails but sure is strange--- Why can't I get MobileMe directly into Mail?
You likely need more information / details to solve this-- going to work here now in 2 hours but will try to solve this before I go back to Belgium on Sat!
Thanks for any comments - suggestions. Oh, yes - when I try to change mail.mac.com to smtp.mac.com for "incoming" - it automatically changes back to mail.mac.com... when I hit save.
If I change to mail.me.com (instead of "mac") will that do anything?
