Can Siri read messages if I turn preview off?

Hello good people. My question is about the iPhone and it's a little specific but I figure if anyone can help me it would be you good people. So here goes. Is it possible for Siri to read me my texts if I turn the "preview in lock screen" option off in Notifications for Messages? I would like to be able to have Siri read me my messages without having "preview in lock screen" on.

I would need a little more information on this issue to provide a better answer. Are you attempting to use a Bluetooth device with Siri? If this is the case, here are some troubleshooting steps that I would recommend going through.
Using Siri with audio accessories
Siri will work with many audio accessories, including wired and wireless headsets and car stereos.
Find information about troubleshooting Bluetooth headsets and headphones.
Find information about troubleshooting car stereo connections.
If you are using an audio device that connects using the Dock Connector, Siri will not route through that device. You will need to continue to use your device, wired headset, or Bluetooth headset to interact with Siri.
If you are using your iOS device with a device that uses a Remote User Interface, ensure that you control your iOS device using the car stereo or other device. Attempting to control your iOS device directly through either touchscreen, Siri, or Voice Control won't work.

using SIRI we can read the latest message ony. but in a different way(not using SIRI) you can listen to the messages or even U can listen to the Looong articles on the web by just highlighting it(selecting the text). this feature is provided in iOS 6.U need to enable Speak option to check this. Settings > General > Accessibility > Speak Selection. turn it on.

For many years I have used „QuickMail Pro“, as my favorite Mail-Client. Now I had switch to Apple Mail. I hoped, to be more compatible to other „modern“ Mail-Clients. So could it be, that Apple Mail can not read Messages from Type <multipart/mixed>? I only see the Header-Information and instead of the Message-Text there is only an Error-Message:

Go to System Preferences (under the Apple logo in the menu bar). Choose "General". Click "Always close windows when quitting an application".
That should fix it.

after that click okay when it says itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. Then click restore

If it is a matter of VoiceOver being turned on when you press Shift-S, you can change the keyboard command key combo for that. Open System Preferences, select the Keyboard item. In the new window, click the Keyboard Shortcuts button.
In the left list, click Universal Acess. In the new list on the right, be sure the last item, "Turn VoiceOver on or off", is checkmarked, then click the command-key setting on the right of that line. A small text box will open - enter the new command-key combo you wish to reset it to.
Suggestion - the original setting for that is Command-F5 (that's the number 5, not the letter S). Unless you have a particular need to use Command-F5 for something else, I would reset it to that. If you do need to set it to something else, include the Command-key as part of the combo - doing so prevents accidental activation when using routine keyboard strokes.

Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

I Wish I had seen this before I got mine.
Mine has been doing this auto eject stuff too.
I think I just plugged it in and TM let me select it but is it possible
I should have reformatted it with DU first, like with all the WD drive problems ?
Is it too late for that ?
Or just try to return it or get rid of it ?

Can't read messages in sent folder

We can't read any messages in the sent folder. The window only shows the following message:
+The message from Nicki Frech <[email protected]> concerning “test” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.+
We cannot see what settings to change so that the sent messages are available on the computer. Many thanks for any help!

Have a look in Mail > Preferences > Accounts, Special Mailboxes tab at Sent, and see what it reports for, +Erase copies of sent messages when:+
If it is a short period like one day, or on quitting Mail, then they may be erased accordingly.
You could set it to never to keep them permanently.

Inbox file - can't read message body

We can see the list of inbox message BUT when we go to open any of them we can't read them it says:
Message from XXX has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
We are using Earthlink...as I am thinking about this it sounds like an Earthlink problem? Why does the header of each message look ok in Apple Mail?

I'm not a Mail.app expert user but what happens when you select, with your Mail.app open, from the "Mailbox" menu (in the top menu bar) "Go Online"?
I assume it says "Go Online" if it is asking "You need to take this account online in order to download it".

Siri should be able to read your unread text messages. Is that what you're asking it to read?

Can't read messages in IOS7

Having upgraded my iPhone 5 to IOS7 I can no longer read comfortably any of my iMessages. I have tried bold and enlarging the text but it's not the size of the text that is a problem, the text is just a blur in the new coloured backgrounds. I never had a problem before and have now been left with an expensive paperweight.
I tried inverting colours but that looks so bad across the iPhone and it didn't really make any difference.
Are there any other options or is it time to look for another phone.

Thanks. I've submitted the feedback but sadly I think my only option is to go with a different phone as my iPhone 5 is unuseable in it's current state. Had to cancel my iPhone 5S order as well as no point in getting it if I can't read it.
