No one here can know why for certain, and yes.
If no change after resetting network settings on your iPhone and after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem with the wireless card or something else.

Yes you do not need a Sim card for it to use Wi-fi

  • Can you track an iphone 5s without a sim card

I was wondering if you can still track an iphone 5s without a sim card installed.

if it has access to wifi then yes.

  • Can you unlock an iphone 4 without a sim card?

Can you unlock an iphone 4 without a sim
    card?

What are you referring to in regards to unlocking. Are you talking about unlocking the screen with a passcode, or unlocking the device from the carrier the phone is locked to?
If you are referring to unlocking the phone from the carrier so it can be used with other carriers, you need to make contact with the carrier it is locked to and ask if they offer unlocking services and if you qualify for the unlock. They will provide you with instructions on what to do after that.

  • How to connect my ipad mini wifi without a SIM card

How do I connect my ipad mini cellular to wifi without a sim card

If it says there is no sim card installed it either can't find one physcially, or the card moved and lost contact or has failed.  A new sim card can be obtained form your Mum's cell/mobile carrier if needed easily.
However this is irrelevant to whether or not the iPad can join a Wifi network.  Its 2 different things.
For now ignore the Sim card message and just try to connect to her Wifi network.  It is independent and should function regarldess of the sim card status.

  • Can you start a iPhone 4S without a SIM card? Because mine is arriving next week.

Can you start a iphone4s without a SIM card? Because mine is arriving next week.

Turning an iPhone or any phone for that matter on has nothing to do with a SIM being installed.
All iPhones require a SIM card for activation.  The SIM does not need to be active, but it must be from the carrier the device is locked to.

  • HT4972 can i get the ios update without a sim card on a iphone 3gs?

because i just downloaded it on my iphone 3gs and when downloaded it , it tells youto put your language the your country then it takes you to wifi and i just wanted to know if i can download this without a sim card??

No, you must have a SIM card in the phone to restore our update it. The card does not have to be a currently active card, however.

  • Can I use the unlocked 3GS without a SIM card?

I am one of the few (I guess) who refuse to pay for a data plan, but still want a capable iOS device that fits in my pocket. With no updates and aging specs, the iPod touch is not the option I hoped it would be.
So, what I'm wondering, is if I buy the 3GS Unlocked from the Apple store for $375, can I use it as an iPhone without the phone if I don't put a SIM card in it? Yes, I understand it will not function as a phone.
I basically want an iPod toch with GPS, a better camera, and a better processor... will the 3GS Unlocked be able to function in that capacity if I never activate it on any network, or does it require a SIM card to even "turn on"?

The current iPod Touch is basically an iPhone 4 without the phone feature, see here: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ipod/specs/ipod-touch-4th-gen-4g-facetime- specs.html.
If if you would go for an iPhone 3GS, it would not be more powerful than the current iPod Touch.

  • Will an unlocked iPhone 4S work with both CDMA and GSM SIM cards?

I was using the iPhone 4S with a GSM sim card all these years here in India and would like to switch to a CDMA carrier.
Does the phone work with both SIM cards? Or is there a separate model which works with CDMA?
    Appreciate all replies.
    Thank You!

    Hey varun0809,
It sounds like you have a question about the specifications of your specific model of iPhone 4s. Here is an article for you that should be able to help you answer these questions:

  • Leaopard 10.5.1 - can't work with the os x install cd - please help

    Hey guys...
I have a Power Mac G5 Dual. I want to re-install my settings, specific files and so on... I don't want to delete everything and re-install. I want to keep my current user, with it's programs, folders and so on.. I know that you're to use the os x cd, and press special under the installation and choose something where you still can keep your user..... However I can't do that: every time I restart my Power Mac and it starts of from the Cd, I choose a language but when i press next, it says: cannot opdate to v10.5 on your computer..
Why does it say that? I just want to keep my user, but not delete and re-installl everything!!
    Help please : )

    Welcome to the Apple forums:
If you are trying to do a standard update to Leopard and you are already running Leopard, you have to choose the archive and install. The standard upgrade is only from Tiger or lower to Leopard.
After the language screen, at the lower left, I believe, is an "Options" button. Click it and select archive and install.
This should keep all your present settings, but I would caution you that you shuold NOT do anything unless you have a full backup of your present system.
You did not specify why you want to reinstall Leopard. Maybe you do not need to do a complete reinstall if you would post your problems.
Again, don't do anything unless you have a current backup either with TM or CarbonCopy.

  • I have a iPhone 4 which was on Verizon. I now want to start using it on Walmart Family Mobile. I know I have to get it jail broke but people are telling me that I can't use it as it has no sim card slot. Is there a way of getting around this problem?

How can I use a iPhone 4 without the sim card slot on Walmart family mobile?

The Verizon iPhone 4 is a CDMA only phone. It is not physically possible to use it on a GSM network. It doesn't have the right parts. Also, we can't discuss jailbreaking here.
    Best of luck.

What do you 'stopped working and was closed, I can not work with him' ? What exactly are you seeing on the phone's screen ?
If it's the activation screen and you can't remember your password for your account then see if you can get it reset via http://iforgot.apple.com

You need Lightroom 5.5 or later (the most current version is 5.7.1). This is a free update if you have already purchased an earlier version of Lightroom 5.
