Can SOA consume business events using non-apps datasource ?

Hi Gurus & Experts,
We have a scenario where EBS raises custom business event to be consumed by SOA.
Everything works fine using APPS login, however we need to non-apps datasource in some environements (custom schema user)
Can SOA consume business events using non-apps datasource ?

Business Events using Oracle Apps Adapter

I am trying to use oracle.apps.per.api.person.update_person business event to get person data. I have followed the example mentioned in OracleEBSAdapterUserGuide(b_28351). I have specified APPS_WF_EVENTS_T.xsd as the schema.
Dev Environment:
JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 (windows XP)
Oracle Apps 11i (IBM-RS6000)
I am seeing two issues
1) Event is not being raised when we create or update person data. I have looked at the troubleshooting section and it mentioned that we need to make sure WF_Listener is running. But I don't know how to check for that.
2) It doesn't retrieve XML data if we manually invoke the BPEL process. It just gives me empty xml file as follows:
<?xml version="1.0" ?><ns0:WF_EVENT_T xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/xdb/APPS/HrEmpUpdateListener" xmlns:ns0="http://xmlns.oracle.com/xdb/APPS"/>

Can't down load mail using mail app

Can't down load mail using mail app OS, I already delete the com.apple.mail.plist but didn't work, it can connect to the server and in the progress bar, it appear: incoming messages ex. 39 of 39 but 0kb of transmission. And if I go to the Account info window, I can see the messages on the server, as well as the subject, date received, and the size of them. So, the mail, does connect to the server and see the new mail, but just doesn't download them. I also tried delete the mailbox and create a new one, but the same result.
If I use web mail I can see the mails.
Any clue to fix it.

I have the same problem, when I go on apple store and look for the Netflix app, it won't found it and when I'm on google I'd tape Netflix app, I click on the link which opens AppStore and a message comes saying "your request cannot be found" please help!!! Thank you

APPS Adapter / Business Events not visible when BPEL uses non-apps user

We have BPEL connection using custom oracle user, xx_b2b and when we use APPS adapter in BPEL, I can not see and use any business event.
If anybody across same requirement, please share your experience.

Not able to integrate SOA Suite with EBS using Oracle APPS Adapter

Hi,
We need to listen to outbound business events of Oracle EBS using BES via Oracle APPS Adapter.
We have created a composite containing Oracle Application Adapter and BPEL Process.
In Apps adapter when configured Outbound Business events "oracle.apps.bom.component.modified" using Dequeue Operation,a corresponding subscriber is created in WF_BPEL_Q for respective event selected.
In Oracle EBS
for "oracle.apps.bom.component.modified" status is enabled and in subscription WF_BPEL_QAGENT is there.
When we are changing any BOM component in Oracle EBS Designer and saving it, a record is being created in "WF_BPEL_QTAB".
BPEL Process( Oracle Apps Adapter Partner Link---> Recieve Actvity ) instances are not being created when any BOM component is being changed.
Oracle Apps Adapter is not able to dequeue the data from WF_BPEL_QTAB.
There is not any error/exception in oracle soa suite server logs for Oracle APPS adapter.

We would like to capture a few business events in oracle BOM and PO that are of interest to us. In order to do this,
we deploy oracle SOA composite with BEPL in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Control. The oracle SOA composite is configured for a particular outbound business event. It should listens on a specific queue WF_BPEL_Q or WF_BPEL_QTAB and de-queues the messages from that Oracle Queue or Oracle AQ Table. In jDeveloper 11g we created a SOA project with oracle applications adapter partner link and a receive.
Specifically we are trying to capture the business outbound event oracle.apps.bom.component.modified just to get the event data in this receive.
Partner link configuration: We added the database connection to the oracle EBS instance. Tested it and we
succeded. Chose ANY_SCHEMA in partner link configuration.
We ensured that the JNDI Name here( eis/Apps/Apps ) match the JNDI name provided in the weblogic-->Deployments--
OracleAppsAdapter -->Configuration --> Outbound Connection Pools. For this outbound resource pool, Connection factory interface was javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory. Property name xADataSourceName was mapped to JNDI name of the configured JDBC datasource in the weblogic. When we created the connection pool. We tested and it worked fine. This data source had the connection pool configured to the oracle applications schema with APPS user.
After adding the partner link with the above configuration, we added a receive. We deployed this configuration to the middleware. We went to the oracle EBS modified a BOM component and we expected to having running BPEL instances against the deloyed composite. However, the problem is we are not having any running instance for the composite.
We found that there are entries in the view AQ$WF_BPEL_QTAB with an ENQ_TIME and ENQ_TIMESTAMP but with no DEQ_TIME or DEQ_TIMESTAMP. The ENQ_TIMESTAMP corresponds to the time we modified BOM in oracle BOM forms/Designer
The data is being written in WF_BPEL_QTAB for the BOM changes but not being dequeued by oracle applications adapter/composites deployed in soa server.
Please help me it quite urgent.
Is there anything we are missing on EBS side to be activited. for the events to be dequeued

How can I display more info using remote app?

Hi there,
I use remote app a lot, but I find it quite basic in the display features.
I mean: remote is great to browse my music library and play songs with on my living room hi-fi while I'm sitting comfortable on my sofa.
But what if I would like to know the release date of the album, the name of the composer, and so on?
Is there any way to configure the remote app to display more?
Is any kind of new release of the app on its way?

Command (right) - click on a photo in the Photo tray and select Small Photo from the contextual menu:
This will give you two columns of photos.
To reduce the number of photos to select from one can select only Unplaced Photos to be displayed in the tray.

How should I create a swing UI that can be consumed by a variety of apps?

Hi,
I have written a few different swing based java applications that could use a similar user interface class. I would like to create user interface that opens in a popup window, allows the user to do some work, and then returns a resulting object to the parent UI. My needs are too cusomtized to use a standard dialog object.
So, what is the proper way to build a UI class that can be consumed by other applications? I don't know if I build such a thing in a JFrame, JPanel, etc. Pointers to a specific tutorial would be very helpful. I just want to make sure I can build this as a stand alone project that I can consume by other projects.

For a Swing GUI object which can be shared among several applications, I would use a JPanel. If you want something which pops up and returns an object based on user input, I would use one of the standard JDialog static methods, passing it an instance of this JPanel.

How can BI recognize business event into transactional environment?

As I have been looking forward to figure out BW based BAM solutions, such as to implement BW to recognize business event into Transactional applications I just found the TechEd 2008 BPX Community winner proposal Operational BI-Embedded Business Activity Monitoring Drives Sales Growth and Empowers CRM Campaigns, by Anshuman Kumar (congratulations!)
However, it will take a long time to September and as I need very much to hurry up on architecting a BW based BAM solution I was wondering if someone else has implemented solution like that to exchange more detailed information, as Event Recognition, or even if Mr. Kumar could provide information regarding his presentation in advance.

Hi Kiran,
Depending on your SAP release, you may have a wizard to instantiate an object reference. This basically creates a standard task based on object method System.GenericInstantiate (or something similer - I currently do not have access to the system). You need the object key available in the WF container to do this. It could be tricky if the object key is multipart. Once an object reference is available in the WF container, you can wait for an event of that object.

Can't get .mac mail using Mail.app under 10.4.7

this is an odd one - I simply cannot connect to the .mac mail servers using mail.app. I have tried deleting and recreating the accounts, no success.
Open to suggestions!
Internet connection is fine, and all other mail comes down fine...

After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I can't delete/move emails using Mail app

I upgraded to Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard and having problems with my Mail application.
The long and short of it is that I cannot delete or move emails from my Inbox. When I select an email in the preview panel and delete it, it disappears, but when I select the Trash folder, it isn't in there. And when I go back to my Inbox, lo and behold, it is back there again, as if I had never deleted it. The same holds true when I try to move an email from my Inbox to one of my iCloud folders.
Emails come in to my Inbox just fine.
And I am able to move emails from one iCloud folder to another, however.
And I do not have this problem when I access my email via Iphone, ipad or icloud.com. In fact, when I delete an email from my iphone, it gets deleted from my Inbox on my Mail app.
I looked in Mail Preferences, and I have one Account set up: iCloud IMAP. Is that right? I use me.com for my email.
Any ideas here?

This means that at some time you had the iWork ’09 trial installed. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user. Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

My iPhoto 11 is missing several events following last import, however I can see the missing events using Aperature.

Hi I'm missing several events in my iPhoto library following my last import. If I open up Aperature to access the library I see all of my events, does this mean my library is corrupt? I've already tried repairing the iphoto database, rebuilding the thumbnails, and rebuilding permission all without success. My last option is rebuild the database. Has anyone seen this issue?

I don't use Aperture so don't know how it works in relation to viewing the same library as iPhoto. There may be some cache that Aperture is viewing.
You can also try this:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

Value set using non-Apps table

Hi All
Can I use a third party application table (not belonging to Apps) in Value Set (GL Super User > Setup > Financials > Validation > Sets). The purpose is to create a DFF and use this value set as a LOV.

As long as you can access the table from apps schema, it should be no problem.
There's no validation on the table field in value set, so you can insert custom tables, views without issues.

Replying to Events using email app OTHER THAN APPLE MAIL

I don't use Apple Mail except for occasionally checking one dead email account. So when I click "Reply" to an event invite in iCal, I need that Reply to launch the email program I DO use — the one that actually has my valid, relevant email address.
Right now when I click "Reply," Mail launches (without my permission), and everyone invited to the event gets an email from the WRONG email address — one they do not know, do not associate with me, and an address I DO NOT want them to have.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to make iCal launch MY DEFAULT EMAIL PROGRAM for these replies.
Anybody know how to get around this?

How can I download videos/movies using idownload app?

I bought the Idownload app for my iPad a few days back, but I can't download any video/movie. When I tap on a link, it gives me the following options: open or download. After choosing download video and specifying path and name for the file, it only downloads a file less than 200 kb. What should I do? I would also appreciate if someone can give me names of websites from which I can download full length American movies.

JDev 9.0.3.3 Data not saved to DB when using Non-Transaction DataSource

Hi,
Env: JDev 9.0.3.3/WL 6.0 sp1/Oracle 8i
We have successfully deployed our application in 3-tier(remote mode) in JDev 9.0.3.2. using JClient, EO/VO, EJB Session Facade (BMT).
Now we are planning to use JDev 9.0.3.3 (build 1205)
We are using ejb.txn.type=local and Weblogic DataSource(non-txn).
In JDev 9033, after commit the data is not getting saved to DB. No errors in the log below.
This works fine in JDev 9032.
This does not work with simple Master Detail and also with single row simple form.

I tried to reproduce your problem, but couldn't. Let me explain what steps I executed and perhaps you can advise where I've not matched your steps.
--Using build jdeveloper 9.0.3.3.1203, I built a new bc4j project containing a dept-emp default bc4j project (deptEntity, empEntity, deptView, empView, deptempFKAssoc, deptempFKViewLink, ApplicationModule).
--In dos shell, I went to the directory \jdevdir\jdev\bin and ran setvars -go to set the correct jdk version
--In the dos shell, in the directory \jdevdir\j2ee\home I executed the following command to install oc4j:
java -jar oc4j.jar (defaults pswd to welcome for admin)
--I remoted the appmodule to EJB Session Bean (BMT) and created a new deployment profile using the 9ias configuration for the application module.
--I deployed the bc4j objects to oc4j
--I created a new project
--In this project I created a new jclient master-detail form using the above project's application module for the data model
--I saved all and compiled the jclient project
--I ran the jclient form and inserted a master record
--I committed the transaction successfully
--I browsed records, then edited a record
--I committed the transaction successfully, then browsed.
Is there something I've missed? Did you migrate your project and not start by creating a new project? Is there something special about the database schema you are using?
