Can some1 help plz to restore my database?

Hi All,
I am in critical condition lost all my datafiles/control files and redos.
Im left with just 1 day old backup(full RMAN backup) yet database is open, becasuse I am still to come out of it.
I can't connect to rman directly to restore my control files it says control file doesnt exist.
Is there any way to restore my database from my old backup.
Oracle version: 10.2.0.5.0

what does the above mean exactly?
The database is still open and not down.
If/when DB is shutdown, it will not open again.
Consider taking FULL online backup NOW (while you can still do so).
ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE;
the resultant trace file will provide SQL to make new control files.

You can't. It is a good security feature. You have to connect the iPod to yur computer and restore via iTunes.

You have a hardware problem. It is probably the hard drive is either to full, not enough free space, or it is starting to fail.
If you have an external drive connec that to the system and use the Recovery HD, Command + r keys at startup, to install a clean fresh copy of OS X Lion on the external then run the system from that. It will be slower but if you don't get the beachball then that is the sign your internal drive is on its way out or is filled up with files and not enough free space.

Hi all, I know this is a very old thread, but I was battling this issue for awhile and wanted to provide my solution in case future users encounter a similar issue.
I am running Windows 8. I encountered this issue while trying to install iTunes 11.1 x64 version. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that the real issue was trying to install the Apple Mobile Device service.
My resolution was installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package. It is available from Microsoft. A search on Google should reveal it. However, here is the latest link that I used: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=14431
Note that redistributable packages for more recent versions of Visual C++ (eg 2008, 2010) will NOT work. Only 2005 version worked for me.

Hi Peter, Outcome is I look like a real big idiot!!!! When my husband got home I was in the process of writing down all the details to inform apple of the dodgy o2 store, only for him to inform me that he never got it unlocked at the o2 store because they couldn't do it the same day and as I have zero patience he took it a few doors down to a phone shop that advertised unlocking of phones! So now holding my head in shame I have to appologise to o2 and to everyone for wasting their time! Sorry! I assumed that when he gave me the phone and I asked that it was fully unlocked (as we had read up on the jailbreak and red something?) and he said yes! that the o2 store had done it, but he had asked the shop that unlocked it if it would be fully unlocked and took their word for it! so my phone has been hacked and I will now be (with my tail between my legs, so to speak) taking it to the o2 store for help : ( Hope someone else will read this and learn for my (well my husbands) lesson and go through the correct channels, Thanks again to yourself and KiltedTim and Sorry! Can somebody help me to restore my iWeb domain file from Time Machine (at the moment my whole life history is frozen online)?

I had to wipe my machine and create a new account. Now I can't restore my iWeb domain file and thus can't edit my site. When I do try to restore the file I'm told:
The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again.
I've changed the permissions of the domain file/folder itself (within Time Machine) but I gather it wants me to change the permission of everything in there, which would presumably take hours and hours.
I've tried just dragging the domain file from the hard drive where the Time Machine backup is stored but the result of that is:

This is quite urgent because I am applying for a new job and can't display my latest work online. Any help much appreciated in advance.

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
