OK THIS DARN IPOD IS MESSIN WITH MY MIND. I TURN IT ON AND THE LIGHT IS GREEN AND WHEN I PRESS PLAY, NO SOUND!! SO I PRESS PLAY A FEW MORE TIMES AND TRY THE VOLUME AND STILL NO SOUND!! THE BATTERY'S CHARGED SO I PUT IT BACK IN 2 RECHARGE MORE ANYWAY. SO I CLICK ON SETTINGS AND SO I DECIDE THAT I SHOULD RESTORE. I CLICK RESTORE, IT ERASES ALL MY SONGS, THEN I TAKE AN HOUR AND A HALF 2 PUT THE SONGS BACK ON THERE, CHECK THE IPOD AND ITS CHARGED FULLY. I PUT IT IN MY EAR, PRESS PLAY AND STILL NO SOUND!!! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM!! IVE TRIED EVERYTHING... AND NOW I PRESS PLAY AND ITS RED AGAIN!!! WHAT'S GOIN ON!! SOME1 GIV ME ALL THE LINKS 4 HELPING AN IPOD WHO'S LIGHT TURNS GREEN BUT NO SOUND! PLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEE!!! IM REALLY GETTIN ****** OFF CUZ I WASTED GOOD SLEEPING TIME!!

ONE LAST THING. LIK 20 MINUTES B4 MY iPOD STARTED
MESSIN UP, IT WUZ PLAYIN JUS FINE!! THEN I TURN IT
OFF AND PRESS PLAY AGAIN AND ITS MESSED UP!
HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!
Take it to an Apple Store or the place you bought it from for a replacment...

The thread running through your explanation has to do with connectivity to your server. (iCloud out of the blue asking for password, unable to message your boyfriend, unable to access e-mail). You said that you boyfriend restart his device and then the two of you were able to then imessage. My best advice for you would be to go to settings to reset to reset network settings. Once this has been done you then will need to enter the name and password of your wifi. ONce this is done you then can attempt to check to see that all passwords are enter correctly.

OMG OMG OMG....CAN SOME1 PLEASE HELP?!

So this morning, I grabbed my ipod and turned it on to listen to 311's "Amber" cause it was stuck in my head and all I heard was this blantantly loud "EEHEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" over the fading music in the background. I was shocked because my ipod was working just fine last night. So I thought the earphones were defective but I tried them on another application and they worked just fine. Then, I took my sister's earphones and tried it w/ my ipod. The noise is still there, only louder now.
I plugged the ipod into my computer and tested it. itunes worked just fine and all the music were flawlessly played. After that, I ejected the ipod and tested it w/ the earphones again. Unfortunately, the obnoxious noise is still there and I'm freaking out because I rely on the ipod so much (especially on the train to school)!
I'm sent a request to have my ipod replaced or fixed but right now, I'm working on transferring all my songs to my new PC because they said that the replaced ipod will be empty. If anyone knows how to fix this head-achy problem, PLEASE tell me how step-by-step(because I am not a computer-wizard)! My email is [email protected]

P.S. Apple needs to step it up quality-wise with these MP3 players. It is ludicrous that a $200 ipod only works for about...3months!?

Sometimes and this is network dependant if they suspect the phone to be lost or stolen as in this case with change of Sim card and provider then the origonal network can and some will block the phone untill you have rang them and proven it's not the case or if you have bough this 2nd hand then the origonal seller may have stopped paying the contract bill and thus the phone is blocked

After restoring to factory settings/new iPod you will then have to restore from backup
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I purchased my IPHONE about 2 months ago. I am visiting family in DE & this tuesday it starting to go off & on by itself. Then the icons looked like they were floating . Then I could not call or text . The SIRI device would not work. Then it would shut down then the apple icon would reappear. I took it to a verizon dealer in Rehoboth DE & they said it BUGGED OUT/It is in a RESTORE MODE. It will not turn on. We could not transfer anny of my pics or contacts. I never even had a chance to back up the memory on ITUNES.
The tech @ Verizon said to contact APPLE to trouble shoot and try and transfer the contacts from my yahoo acct.
