Can someone access my iMac through airport express? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Obviously, since if you couldn't access your own iMac your Express woudn't be much good, would it?
However, assuming you set a login name and password for your iMac, you need to provide that even if you are accessing the iMac from another client on your network. To join the network requires yet another level of authentication, which you presumably configured in your Express. Furthermore, accessing your network from outside its router is more difficult still.
It sounds as though you were concerned, so I hope that assuages it.

Ok, i have been able to access my G5 mac using Tiger from my G4 PB using tiger in the past.
I installed Leporad (family pack) on both machines. Now i can't access the G5 from the PB. the settings use to be correct. I kind of gave up, but i just would never get the log in or see the G5.
Today, i finally had the oppurtunity to try using the Back to My Mac feature. My G5 was on at home and i had a wireless connection at work and needed a file on my G5. so i went to the shared section in the side bar and it wasn't there to access.
When i got home i tried again. This time i could see the G5 in the side bar, but could not tell if it was through the internet or if i was seeing it through my wireless network.
when i tried to access using the back to my mac by clicking on the shared volume in the side bar, i could not access it, it finally gave me an error message saying that the server may not be available.
the weird thing is, if i choose to share screen, i could access the G5. I would get a log in window and log in no problem.
the setting in my shared preference seem to be the same for both computers.
any idea where to start on figuring this out.

Do you have a .Mac account? And are both Macs setup to use the .Mac account? Without a .Mac account, the Back-to-My-Mac feature is not going to work, as you need .Mac to act as the middle man in establishing the connection.
In addition, does your work have a corporate firewall? If it does, they most likely block the networking ports that BTMM uses.

Very likely this is local LAN via Bonjour.

Do you have your Firewall enabled? Security System Preferences
Did you enable Screen Sharing (I'm guessing you did, but I figure it is worth asking) Sharing System Preferences
NOTE: I do not have a .Mac account, and my use of Screen Sharing has been just one or 2 experiments, but I figured I could at least ask some questions that might uncover something useful.

Can't access desktop Mac from Laptop Mac via Airport/Ethernet

I have an iMac G5 running 10.3.9 and a MacBook Pro running 10.4.8. I have recently gotten DSL. I have a DSL MODEM connected to a Belkin Router. The router is not wireless. I bought it when I got the iMac a couple of years ago, and the iMac had no Airport card in it.
I have connected the router to the MODEM, and the iMac (which does not have an Airport card) to the router via Ethernet. I have an Airport Express Base Station connected to the Belkin Router via Ethernet.
My MacBook Pro connects to the router via Airport.
I am connected to the internet with no problem.
My first problem is that, on the laptop in Finder, I can connect to my iMac through Connect to Server with no problems. However, I cannot do the same (i.e., connect through Connect to Server) from the iMac to the laptop.
The second problem is that I cannot use the printer connected (USB) to the iMac from the laptop. I could when the laptop was connected via Ethernet alone, but not since I introduced the Airport intot the network.
What am I doing wrong? BTW, I don't have an extra Ethernet cable or the right USB cable to connect the printer to the DSL MODEM, so I haven't tried that yet.

Make sure that the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) has "Distribute IP addresses," found on the Network tab of the AirPort Admin Utility, disabled.

Can someone access my information from a water damaged phone?

I have an iPhone 5 that was submersed into a lake for about 10 minutes. It sat in rice and never powered up ever again. I want to sell it on ebay for parts. However, is there any way that the person who buys my phone will be able to access any old data I had on the phone? Specifically, photos, emails, texts, etc. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Sure they can. With several hundred thousands of dollars of equipment, significantly skilled personnel, and a lot of determination. Will they? No. There is nothing on your phone that is worth that cost and expenditure of resources. If you want you can change all the passwords on your accounts so none of the accounts on the phone will work.

Can't access my Mac files (Users/.../Documents for instance) from Bootcamp

From Windows XP with Bootcamp 3.0, I can't access my Mac users files whereas I can access folders being at the root of the Mac OS partition. Size mismatch? (my windows partition's size is 32 go and my users folder is much larger)

Are either of you running Remote Desktop software by any chance? I know after I installed Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection, my "Username" folder vanished in Windows 7. I could see every other folder on my drive, and I could even still access the files and folders in the "Libraries" section (Music, pictures, etc), but it would not show up when I went to it via Explorer. I cleaned caches, I checked for hidden files, and various other Windows tasks, but still, no "Username" folder.
Switched over to my Mac side to browse around. Realized the only thing that had changed on Mac was installing Remote Desktop Connection. I opened Preferences, went to the Drives tab. Changed it from none to Home folder, saved my settings, closed the program. Opened it back up, changed it back to none and now my Username folder is back in Windows.
I'd suggest to check your Remote Desktop/Remote Management/Screen Sharing settings.

right click on the folder that shows with the red negative sign, and select to "get info". In the long skinny window that appears, look in the "sharing and permissions" section. In the "name" column, you should see your current user name. Ensure the "privilege" is set to Read and Write. If your user name is not in the name column, click the + sign, and add it, ensuring the privileges are set to Read and Write

it's unclear what it is you want to accomplish
vpn mean virtuel private network which is a program/ protocol which tunnel across the internet providing what seems to the computer that it's present on another Local area network (such as works lan)
so it's unclear if you wish to access your mac from your pc while being connected to the VPN to your works network
or if you wish to connect your mac to your works lan using a vpn client on the mac
if the former then you can't access your home lan from your works lan that you connect to over vpn unless you setup a vpn on your local lan
but a quick search in google or app store for osx should give you some vpn clients for osx so you can connect your mac to your works lan if that is what you want

So my options are:
Create a new Apple ID, use that and lose all the apps I've purhcased with it (a fairly substantial amount)
Somehow Migrate these purchases over to a new Apple ID
Apple let me change the primary ID for the account

I've tried accessing the mail through a mail application using the correct server information, and trying both the old 6 character password and the one I had to change it too after they updated the security guidelines - neither work.
Help would be greatly appreciated as I can see more services down the line not working without the address being verified!

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You should not need to verify the old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Can't access work IMAP from home

We're running mail service (IMAP) on OS X Server 10.3.9 at the office. Everything works fine when I'm on the network locally - I can send and receive external emails etc.
However, I can't access the server from home using either the domain name or IP address. I used to be able to but we've recently changed ISP & router and I'm not sure if this has affected it. I assume the MX records for the domain are fine since we can send and receive.
I'm not really an IT admin-type guy (it's just kinda become my responsibility) so I don't fully understand DNS, local domains etc.
If anybody has any pointers, I'd really appreciate it.

DNS Basics: the DNS server basically resolves a 'name' to an IP address. E.g. mail.mydomain.com to the IP address of the mailserver.
When you are inside the local network (LAN), your computers probably find the server using a local IP address. When you are outside the LAN, then your computer will find it EITHER by using the public IP address of your firewall OR using a name which will resolve to the same.
Since it worked before you changed ISPs, I'm guessing that you had it set explicitly to the WAN IP address. This will have changed with the change of ISP.
Easiest way to fix this is to use the same host name as you MX record is set to. So if your MX record is mail.mydomain.com then use this as it is obviously resolving to the IP address of your mail server (or more exactly, the IP address of your firewall).
NEXT, since your router has also changed (and I presume this is also your firewall) then you need to ensure that the imap port required (143) is open and port-forwarding to the internal IP address of the mail server.

(ATV2 tv) can't access rented show from my favorites. Error is "The iTunes store is currently unavailable. Try again Later." I have updated and rebooted ATV, as well as my router a number of times. I don't want to rent it again, any ideas?

I'm guessing it's a server issue of some sorts.. maybe just some accounts. It's not the first time favorites has been broken, last time it was broken I just couldn't enter the favorites area. The spinny thing just appeared forever.
My fix: though nothing in favorites works (every time I press select on the show I want it displays the same error as you get), from the main menu with the TV shows menu open, but favorites not yet entered, press the up button and it'll move the cursor to the first image in the menu of rentals at the top of the screen. Easier anyway! Didn't know you could!
On top of that, though I'm now unable to rent via favorites itself, I can do so via the "top tv rentals" thing.

I can't see a PC laptop from my Mac, and can't see my Mac from the Pc

I have an Airpot Extreme Base. My Mac connects to it and my wife's windows base laptop too.
I can't locate my wife's laptop from my mac, and my wife can not locate my mac from its windows network options....
I couldn't be able to find the way in any laptop to solve this issue

Hi, I did manage to ping each computer (the mac from the pc and viceversa), also I did manage to "see" the mac from the pc windows network application; but I still have two issues:
1) I still can't "see" the PC from my Mac, under share of finder....
2) How can I do to access the mac from the pc? It keeps asking me for a user and password, should I use my user and password that I use in my mac? How can I add the pc user into my mac setting if I can't "see" the pc?

When i press on option Stop i get e message saying: refussing connection.This server has beed previously supporting HTTP Strict Transport Security. Due to SSL certificate warning/errors, a connection will not be made. Please could anybody help me.. I contact Vodafone they said it's microsoft issue then the latter said it's blackberry problem. i have tried everything nothing seems to work.. I don't want to register my hotmail account on my BB, but i want to access it through browsing as i do on my PC.. I will be really gratful.. thank you

Ggggrrrr, i really hope that's wrong, i would also be moving away from BB sharpish if that's the case. Hoping someone cleverer than me can come up with a solution, the BB manual certainly doesn't help. Like the first poster I have tried getting vodafone to help and also hotmail, both without success.
