Can Someone Confirm this Nano Action for me?

I need to have an AIFF recording UNCOMPRESSED on my Nano.
If I bring into iTunes as AIFF, will the Nano compress it when I download to the Nano?
If so, can I use the Nano as a hard-drive and copy the AIFF file to it that way?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, it will download uncompressed. It will take a lot more space but it will still sync to the nano as uncompressed. Syncing to your iPod will not compress your files unless you change the format yourself. The same format you imported the file to iTunes will be the same format sent to your nano.

    Can someone try running ISOBuster 1.1?  (http://www.isobuster.com)  Without a BSOD of NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS?
    How about Windows Component Update?  Without a BSOD of the same error?
    It seems this stupid BSOD plagues me and keeps me from installing Visual Studio.
    I've tried the Registry Tweak and it still happens.
    I've tried different BIOS's with clean installs.
    I've tried different drivers with those different BIOS's with clean installs.
    I'm stumped and sad...

    Have you recently installed a new virus scanner?
    Winntmag has this to say : http://www.winntmag.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=3396
    NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS 0x35
    With this code, if you've added a new virus scanner or someone has accessed a shared volume over the network for the first time on the machine, the Server device driver can be at fault. The Server device driver constructs I/O request packets with a slot for every device driver on the path to the disk. Sometimes the number of I/O request packets the Server device driver allocates is insufficient, resulting in this Stop Code. Try increasing the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ServicesLanmanServer\IrpStackSize setting to a number higher than 4 (or whatever it's set to) and see whether the problem goes away

  • Can someone confirm this is a bug in CS3?

    This may well be simply a problem on my local computer,
    but...
    I have placed the Actions window on my second monitor (dual
    monitor system, Win XP), to that (docked in the same window) I have
    added the Output, Compile Errors and Help windows so that they can
    all be moved and viewed as one. However, in this configuration I
    cannot exit Flash.
    I have tried every combination of these windows in pairs and
    triplets, but when I add the fourth window to the set, I cannot
    close Flash.
    If someone can confirm this, I'll submit a bug report.

    Rex, instead of filing a bug could you open a support
    webcase? (or do both?) Be certain to provide your video card and
    driver info.. Reply back with the case number and I'll make sure it
    gets to the right people.

  • Can someone confirm this please?

    I was told all over these forums that I'd be given a replacement refurbished iPhone 4S because my one right now has terrible battery life. So I called Apple and they assured me that they only replaced them with new ones in Ireland. Could somebody confirm this?

    tonefox wrote:
    The main difference between a new phone and a refurbished phone is that the refurbished phone has been checked more carefully to ensure it is in perfect condition.
    I know all the differences, I was just confirming that replacements in Ireland are new iPhones. And my iPhone is the rarest one - 64GB Black iPhone 4S so that could mean they don't have many refurbs.

  • Hi, can someone confirm this is the correct memory?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=008&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT &viewitem=&item=180071178504&rd=1&rd=1
    I just purchased this on ebay, its a 2 gig ram for the macbook 1.83ghz. I just wanna make sure this is the correct compatible memory. Thanks a bunch. (ebay #180071178504)

    From the description on eBay, it looks like the right RAM. PC5300 is what the MacBook takes, and the description on the ad even mentions the MacBook. So it should be fine if the description is accurate.
    And yes, it will make the machine work faster -- it will probably have significantly more effect than a faster processor would. If the processor has to retrieve data from the hard disk, the system comes to a screeching halt while it loads. As it works and the memory fills up, it has to offload some of what it's doing to the hard disk, then load new stuff up to work with, and so on. It will seriously slow down your system having inadequate RAM, and that's what 512MB is in a MacBook, if that's what yours has.
    If you have plenty of RAM, then the system can put pretty much everything it needs there, which means it won't be waiting around for the hard disk nearly as much. Moving from 512MB to 2GB will give a dramatic speed increase on your MacBook.
    Good luck!

  • Can someone checkout this JDBC code for me?

    I'd be very grateful if an expert out there would check out my code for me, which I am about to use a great deal.
    I've written this to save me some duplicated code, but since I haven't seen this approach much in my travels, I'm wondering if it has any particular flaws.
    A separate DbAccess class is instantiated for any database access work, and once instantiated, getConnection is called and once finished closeConnection must be called.
    You can get a ResultSet instance with just a little code and it's up to the calling programme to close it again.
    The only things left open are the Statements, but they will get garbage collected or at any rate will be closed with the connection (whichever is sooner).
    Is there anything wrong with this code?
    import java.sql.*;
    import javax.naming.*;
    import javax.sql.*;
    public class DbAccess{
         * The chosen datasource for this instance of the class
        private String dataSource;
         * The connection held in this instance (created by calling getConnection())
        private Connection con;
         * Instantiates a DbAccess instance, setting the datasource
        public DbAccess(String datasource){
         this.dataSource = dataSource;
         * Gets a connection to the database chosen in constructor parameter:
         * NB The calling programme MUST call closeConnection() after it's finished with it!
        public void getConnection()
         throws NamingException,
                SQLException{
         Context ctx = new InitialContext();
         DataSource ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup(dataSource);
         con = ds.getConnection();
        }//end getConnection()
         * Closes the connection previously obtained with getConnection(), this MUST be called when the calling
         * programme has finished using the database.
        public void closeConnection()
         throws SQLException{
         con.close();
        }//end closeConnection()
         * Returns a ResultSet for a simple query, using a plain Statement
         * @param query - the complete database query
         * @return ResultSet for the query in the parameter
         * N.B. The calling programme MUST close the ResultSet after it's finished with it!
        public ResultSet getResultSet(String query)
         throws SQLException{
         Statement stmt = con.createStatement();
         ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery(query);
         return rs;
        }//end getResultSet()
         * Returns a ResultSet for a simple query, using a PreparedStatement, and accepting
         * a String parameter that can contain a String for a single setString().
         * @param query - the complete database query
         * @param stringToSet - the String for the preparedStatement's setString() method
         * @return ResultSet for the query in the parameter
         * N.B. The calling programme MUST close the ResultSet after it's finished with it!
        public ResultSet getResultSet(String query, String stringToSet)
         throws SQLException{
         PreparedStatement ps = con.prepareStatement(query);
         ps.setString(1,stringToSet);
         ResultSet rs = ps.executeQuery();
         return rs;
        }//end getResultSet()
    }//end class

    Ok, guys you've thoroughly trashed my code, fine, and
    I half expected it because there's nothing like this
    code about the placeYou're suffering from delusions of grandeur. There are plenty of approaches to that particular itch. The closest to what you're trying to achieve would probably be Spring's JDBCTemplate:
    http://www.springframework.org/docs/api/org/springframework/jdbc/core/JdbcTemplate.html
    Hibernate, iBatis, EJB3, and myriad others tackle the issue in other ways.
    , but are we therefore concluding
    that reducing the jdbc code is virtually impossibile
    - and there's an awful lot of it every time you want
    to do a query?My major objection to your approach is that you introduce a variety of bugs without significantly reducing the amount of JDBC code required. Most of what you're after in your class can be achieved by a convenience method to acquire the Connection object.
    1) If (ok maybe it's a big if) - if I always close
    the connection, the statements aren't being leaked
    right?Not necessarily. To the best of my recollection the spec doesn't mandate this. And even if it does I've certainly encountered drivers that don't clean up statement resources that aren't explicitly released. So there's a theoretical and practical aspect to this.
    2) I'm using Tomcat datasources, for getting the
    connection, and I thought that you just had to call
    con.close() for it to return to the pool. Am I wrong
    on this?No, you're right - but nothing in your class prevents the user from calling getConnection twice and leaking a connection - the least you could do in the circumstances is prevent that by throwing an exception if they try.

  • Can someone confirm this with me?

    My board is 661FM2-LSR stated it supports DDR266/333/400.
    But why on kingston site didn't stated it can support CL2.5 and hyperx on PC3200 400Mhz? Below are the modules found for my board.
    128MB 333MHz DDR PC2700 DIMM CL2.5
    256MB 333MHz DDR PC2700 DIMM CL2.5
    512MB 333MHz DDR PC2700 DIMM CL2.5

    256MB 400MHz DDR PC3200 DIMM 3-3-3
    512MB 400MHz DDR PC3200 DIMM 3-3-3

    This is the link
    http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator/modelsinfo.asp?SysID=20816&distributor=0&submit1=Search
    I thought as long my board supports DDR400, it should be able to run on CL2.5, Cas2 and hyperx 400Mhz DDR?
    Please advise thanks

    CL2.5 is not CAS 2 RAMs which you know, therefore I can only say that the CL2 RAMs are meant for boards that handles o/c'ing well but not all mobos.
    I for one has tried to go for CL2 RAMs but gave up the idea as I know that CL2.5 is stable and more than enough. Just don't go for CL3 RAMs.
    Btw, if you want o/c'ing, higher speed RAMs will be much better and preferred to gain more MHz.

My music is nowhere to be found on my computer, so now  I am in the long, forever process of adding my music back one cd at a time, but there is no history of tetris that I paid for from the itunes store. Contact iTunes support and explain your situation to them.  They may let you redownload it at no cost.

  • Thanks for a stealth fix - can anyone confirm this actually happened?

    When the Yoga 2 Pro was released I received an error message about an unauthorized power supply when using with my energizer xpal external battery.  It was only a nuisance since the battery continued to work.  After this last power update I have not seen that message at all and my laptop continues to work well while on the external battery.  Can anyone confirm this was an undocumented fix?

    I know they fixed an error message when using other power supplies in the bios when they released the latest (11/7 I think) bios update.

  • Where can I buy a nano sim for the new iPhone 5

    Hi all,
    I have just ordered a new iPhone 5 from the apple website and it comes as an unlocked phone. Therefore I need to buy a new 'nano sim' to fit the new phone.
    Does anyone know where and how I go about doing this?
    I've seen that vodaphone have apparently got 500,000 of these new Nano sims in stock, but are they only for people who have bought the phone through them?
    Do you know any other networks or providers that are selling the nano sim, even if you haven't purchased the phone from them?
    Any advice or tips would be much appreiciated.
    Many thanks

    Which is why in the UK it is not really worth purchasing an iPhone directly from Apple - it's a no brainer.  You should always purchase through the phone companies themselves and you'll get a much better deal always.
    I have been with 02 on a contract since I had my first iPhone and have always upgraded for less than half the cost of the iPhone directly from Apple.
    I really don't understand why someone would want to spend at least £525 to £600 on a phone from Apple when you could get it for less than half the cost with the UK phone companies, unless of course money is no object!
    Where do you get your information from?

  • Can someone confirm a possible bug with Universal Access?

    Can someone confirm a possible bug with Universal Access?
    I have a Mac Pro 3,1, 10.7.1 but if you could confirm or not this possible bug with any model.
    In Energy Saver preference pane:
    Set Mac to never sleep.
    Set Display Sleep to ~2 minutes.
    In Desktop & Screen Saver:
    Set screen saver to start at ~1 minutes.
    In Universal Access:
    Check Enable access for assistive devices.
    Check radio button Zoom to On.
    Zoom in window not checked.
    Confirm that Zoom works by pressing:
    ⌥⌘= (option, command, =).
    Set screen back to normal by pressing ⌥⌘-.
    Let screen sleep after screen saver starts.
    Wake screen and see if ⌥⌘= still works.
    Thanks … Ken

    Other than the time intervals (smallest Screen Saver kick-in is 3 minutes), it works fine for me - at least I can still zoom in/out after waking the display.
    Tested on two different MacBook Pro models in 10.7.1
