Can someone decipher this for me?

I'm new to using Flash and I've noticed some sites passing XML files through containing code like:
<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-access-from domain="*" secure="false"/>
</cross-domain-policy>
If I examine the contents of my cache, the source looks like
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-access-from domain="*" secure="false"/>
</cross-domain-policy>
Am I correct in interpreting
allow-access-from domain="*"
as permitting any domain to have access to the LSO's belonging to the site passing this XML code through? (Conjecture on the basis of * commonly
used as a wildcard...)
And what is the implication of
secure="false"
Thanks!

Why reward points?(Quoted from Discussions Terms of Use.)
The reward system helps to increase community participation. When a community member gives you (or another member) a reward for providing helpful advice or a solution to their question, your accumulated points will increase your status level within the community.
Members may reward you with 5 points if they deem that your reply is helpful and 10 points if you post a solution to their issue. Likewise, when you mark a reply as Helpful or Solved in your own created topic, you will be awarding the respondent with the same point values.

  • Kernel panic log: can someone decipher this for me, if possible?

    My brother has an iMac G4 with 512 MB of RAM. This computer used to be fine and then a few months ago, it started having random kernel panics. He wiped the drive and reinstalled the OS and it was fine for about 3 months.
    Now it's kernel panicking randomly about 2 times a day, when checking email or burning a CD or just browsing the web. I can cause it to panic every time I try to repair the permission. On a hunch, I removed the user Library folder, logged out and back in again. The OS created a new user Library folder. I then tried repairing permissions. No panic. Through a process of elimination, I narrowed the culprit down to several preference files, including a couple of login-related plists. Individually none of these plists caused the panice, but together they did.
    So I deleted those plists and used fresh ones. I tried repairing permissions. First time, no panic. Second time, no panic. Third time, panic.
    I can't figure out what's messing his system up. He has an external hard drive, a printer, usb camera, and an iPod attached. Disconnecting those doesn't stop the kernel panics. I also ran Apple's Hardware Test several times and it found nothing.
    Here is the panic log. I would really appreciate someone's input and suggestions.

    Does this happen when starting up in Safe Mode?
    You might need to update your FirmTek driver.

  • Crackling loudspeaker? Can someone test this for me?

    I've noticed something that might be abnormal about the speakers on my iPhone 4S.
    Could someone test this for me please? Go to ringtones, and play the 'bell tower' ringtone making sure your ringer volume is all the way up. Listen closly to the speaker, can you notice a slight crackling sound at parts?
    Thanks

    So when you play the bell tower tone at full volume it sounds perfectly cripst and doesn't 'crackle' or distort a little bit because mine does.
    Also when I've asked siri a question, the tone after that when it plays sounds like it distorts a bit to.
    Cheers

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    When your account becomes disabled, Apple provides the following recommendation:
    "This message means that someone tried and failed to sign in to your account multiple times. The Apple ID system disables the account to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to your information. You need to reset your password, following the instructions at the Apple ID website".
    Visit iForgot.com and follow the instructions there.
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
    Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
    If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support

  • Can someone confirm this for me?

    Can someone try running ISOBuster 1.1?  (http://www.isobuster.com)  Without a BSOD of NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS?
    How about Windows Component Update?  Without a BSOD of the same error?
    It seems this stupid BSOD plagues me and keeps me from installing Visual Studio.
    I've tried the Registry Tweak and it still happens.
    I've tried different BIOS's with clean installs.
    I've tried different drivers with those different BIOS's with clean installs.
    I'm stumped and sad...

    Have you recently installed a new virus scanner?
    Winntmag has this to say : http://www.winntmag.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=3396
    NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS 0x35
    With this code, if you've added a new virus scanner or someone has accessed a shared volume over the network for the first time on the machine, the Server device driver can be at fault. The Server device driver constructs I/O request packets with a slot for every device driver on the path to the disk. Sometimes the number of I/O request packets the Server device driver allocates is insufficient, resulting in this Stop Code. Try increasing the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ServicesLanmanServer\IrpStackSize setting to a number higher than 4 (or whatever it's set to) and see whether the problem goes away

  • Can Someone Answer This For Me?!?!

    i got the kin one 3 days ago...i dont really like it that much because i cant view videos or download apps or really do anything that a smartphone should do and it is costing my parents $30 dollars extra a month for nothing basically. My question is that can i take the phone back and exchange it for a new one? Isn't there like a 30 day exchange or something with Verizon? I need to know this soon thank you for taking the time and reading this and answering it.

    You have 30 days to return the phone, and your account will return to the status it was before you upgraded.  Or you can exchange the phone for another - but you are only allowed one exchange, so make sure the second one is the one you really want,as that's the one you will keep.

    I dont know what all these references are to apple.Music
    I see a lowMemory error as well ..  but my Profiler is showing that I'm hardly using any memory.  ??

  • FF keeps crashing- can someone decipher this errror report?

    My FF has been crashing a ton latley. Trying to pinpoint why.
    I uninstalled & reinstalled flash & java. The crashes seem to happen mostly when a page is loaded that has a lot of content displayed all at once (photos, embedded videos, etc.).
    Firefox had been running flawlessly on my PC for years...not sure if the recent crashing is due to a recent update or what but i've been getting plugincontainer.exe errors a lot.
    Below is the crash report...if someone can decipher it and tell me what exactly is causing it, it would be greatly appreciated.
    I'm running XP SP3.
    Thanks

  • Can someone decipher this jargon?

    Apple returned my ibook repaired and the only info they give is that they replaced this:
    APPB-630-7060 PCBA MLB 1.42 GHZ 512 MB S
    Any idea what all that means?

    Thanks everyone for responding. I figured as much but it was hard to confirm. I saw various similar posts on here, someone should tell apple to clarify this issue in their communications.

  • Can someone test this for me

    OK not sure if it is just my phone or a bug or a WAD. But here is the scenario :
    1. Turn off iPhone 3g
    2. Plug it into the wall adapter that came with the phone, while it is plugged into the wall.
    3. Turn it on by hitting the sleep/wake button.
    4. Phone appears to boot, then after a time vibrates and sits on Apple logo (repeats).
    4a. I let it do this under 2.0 and 2.0.1 same issue
    5. Hold down home and sleep/wake to turn it off from failed boot
    6. Unplug and press sleep/wake and up it comes just fine
    I have tried this a few times and the same thing happens. I don't turn my phone off that often, but if it is a bug, its best someone fix it.
    Also, phone charges just fine in off mode and on mode with this charger (the original that came with the phone).
    I have not yet tried this while with the computer.
    Thanks

  • Can someone run this for me and tell me what it prints out?

    I am on a computer that does not have BlueJ or anything of the sort and I need to check if this compiles and prints out the correct number. If someone could, please do so and tell me what it prints.
    Thank you
    public static void mystery(int m)
    if (m == 0)
       return 1;
    else
    return 3 * mystery(m - 1);

    What's a "scut-puppy"?Someone who is forced to do low-level dirty work, "scut" work. Scut is a medical term for tasks that medical students and residents don't like doing, such as drawing blood, running something to the lab, starting IV's, lumbar punctures. Usually the low-man on the totem pole who gets assigned to do the scut work is the scut-puppy.

  • Can someone edit this for me. very short

    Hey, I'm a little rusty on my java, and I need someone to fix the error. When I compile it says "incompatible types-found die but expected int". I'm preparing this code for a little game I'm making
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    public class enemy {
    //public static void main(String[]args) {
        Die die1,die2;
        int sum;
        private  int x;
        private int y;
        private int getX;
        private int getY;
        public enemy()
            die1 = new Die();
            die2 = new Die();
            // initialise instance variables
           x=die1;
           y=die2;
        public void getandprint()
            getX=x;
            getY=y;
            System.out.print("X= "+getX);
            System.out.print("Y= "+getY);
            return;
        public void check()
           if
              (getX==x); {
               System.out.println("X matches");
           if
                (getY==y)
                System.out.println("Y matches");
    public class Die
       private final int MAX = 6;  // maximum face value
       private int faceValue;  // current value showing on the die
       //  Constructor: Sets the initial face value.
       public Die()
          faceValue = 1;
       //  Rolls the die and returns the result.
       public int roll()
          faceValue = (int)(Math.random() * MAX) + 1;
          return faceValue;
       //  Face value mutator.
       public void setFaceValue (int value)
          faceValue = value;
       //  Face value accessor.
       public int getFaceValue()
          return faceValue;
       //  Returns a string representation of this die.
       public String toString()
          String result = Integer.toString(faceValue);
          return result;
    }

    your private int x  = die1 // cannot put die1, interger does not recognize.
