Can someone help me learn to re-size?
I am trying to re-size a bar code and I am new to this program. Can anyone help?
Careful Jacob and Scott. Barcodes should never be scaled by more than about 70% depending on printing method.
Scaling should always be constrained (that is without altering the proportions).
However they may nearly always be truncated (with or without scaling).
This can be done either by outlining the barcode font and manually (with the Direct selection tool) moving the top ends of the bars down - or by using a clipping mask.
There are limits to the amount that codes can be truncated by, depending on how and where they are to be used.
I always use the outlining method. It is safer.

I select Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor and nothing happens. No dialogue box, no signs of thinking...nothing. Can someone help me troubleshoot? I'm running Mac OS X.

By the way, though it won't be as nice as a completely redrawn image, such as what MW Design posted above, if time is of the essence the Photoshop CC 14.0 Image Size dialog can do a nice job - provided you choose the "Preserve Details (upsampling)" method, can often yield an upsampled image with reasonably crisp edges, that might be more usable than the small version.

PleaseAfter you have all of the files from the External HDD you want to save, to format the HDD:
Open Launchpad
Open Utilities
Open Disk Utility
Select Hard Drive to format (the external HDD)
If you want to change partition size or number select Partition Table
Select number of partitions and adjust sizes if more than one
Name the partitions
Select the format from the pop-up menu (use Mac OS Extended (Journaled))
If it is not already selected, select GUID Partition Table
Click OK
Click Apply
And it should do the formatting for you.
Note: giving a name may come after the format selection, I sometimes get that out of order but it will lead you through the process. -
I have just selected all my desktop icons and accidentally deleted them. This included my external hard drive with 22,000 photos in iPhoto. I cannot open iPhoto now. Can someone help please?
What is the file system of that external HD? is it MacOS Extended (Journaled)?
Which iPhoto version do you have?
If you directly select the iPhoto Library in the Finder and use "File > Get Info", does the library still show as "Kind: iPhoto Library" and is the file size correct for 22000 Photos?
If the library does no longer have the correct size, restore it from your backup.
But if the library has the correct size, try to open it directly by clicking it. This should work, if your iPhoto version is iPhoto '11. -

After six years of use, the hard drive may be so full that it is hampering performance.

Determine the available space on your Mac OS X startup disk
In Finder®, select the startup disk icon. For most users, this is Macintosh HD.
Press the Command-I keyboard shortcut.
The Info window for your startup disk opens. In the General pane, the Capacity, Available (free space), and space Used on your startup disk is displayed, as seen in the following screen shot:
As a general rule of thumb: if the Available space on the Mac OS X startup disk is less than 10 GB, it is time to free some disk space. We suggest 10 GB as an absolute minimum as this is generally the amount of free space required to reinstall Mac OS X 10.5 and earlier via an Archive and Install and still preserve space for VM swap files. More free space is better. For example, users of FileVault may want to retain more free space than that occupied by their encrypted Home folder: disabling FileVault requires free space somewhat greater than the size of your encrypted Home folder.
Even though Mac OS X 10.4 doesn't take as much space as Mac OS X 10.5, you still need to keep quite a bit of free space on your hard drive. A too-full hard drive is a common cause of system slowdowns.
If you find that you do have enough disk space, post back and we will explore other potential problems. -

How did you delete your songs off your iPod while it was charging? What did you do?
In iTunes, click "File" and then click "Add file to library". A new window will open, make sure the top says "iTunes Music" folder. Are your songs there? -

I can not send email from my iPhone 3g using me dot com. Can someone help?
I have had my iPhone 3g for 2 weeks now I believe and in this time have received tons of e mails but when I try to reply or send a new e mail I get the message "The connection to the outgoing server "smtp.mac.com" failed."
I don't see why since my wifi is connected and does everything else, like surf the web, download updates to apps and receive e mail.
Can someone help me figure this out? I also just purchased an iPod touch which will be using wifi only so I'm scared that it too will have the same problemI have a 1st gen iPhone that I just updated the software to 2.0.2
Now whenever I press the mail icon it goes to the mail app for about 4 seconds, does nothing, no loading of folders, old messages, nothing.
Then it reverts back to the home screen. Tried restarting, haven't tried restoring, thought I'd look here first.

When I try to send email from my iPad and iPhone it says that I have the wrong username and/or password, but I know they are correct. Can someone help me?
"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done.
