Can someone help me with a batch processing problem
I just got my first Mac and I just loaded Aperture and unfortunately a deadline is upon me. I am used to Photoshop but I'm lost here looking at Aperture. All I need to do right now is to pop in CDs full of photos and produce thumbnails of them to put in file folders on my hard drive. I figure it's an automated batch process, but I'm just not seeing it among the functions of Aperture. I know this request may annoy some users, but I sure could use the help right now and I promise to use the tutorial and manual in the future.
If what you mean is make a bunch of small jpegs - just import the images into an Aperture project - select them all and use export version to put them out in whatever size/format you want. If a preset does not exist for your purposes - create a new one with "edit.." from the presets drop down menu in the export version dialog.

Can someone help me with a user account problem?
Hi everyone, I need help.
Last night while working on my computer, I decided I wanted to change the name beside my little "house" icon -- in the left part of the finder window.
Well, I changed it from allisonnagorski to allison and everything seemed to work fine. Then, I noticed my iDisk disappeared, so I decided to restart the computer to get it back because I was preparing to back up some info from my hard drive to iDisk.
Anyway, when the computer restarted, the desktop was different and none of my programs (iCal, Address Book, Mail, iTunes, Quicken, etc.) were as they usually are -- they were all "brand new," if you will.
So, my immediate thought was that I logged in as a new user. Also, I'm the only user/administrator, but thought maybe by changing my name, I created a new user. So, I logged out and tried to log in as the other user, but there was no other user.
I looked at Apple's help and even went into the account preferences in system preferences, but couldn't fix the problem. The long name was allison, but the short name was still allisonnagorski. I am still listed as administrator, too.
The funny thing is that all my data is not lost. I can see it in the users folder in my hard drive, but I don't know how to get it back into my applications.
Could someone PLEASE help me with this? I'm crippled because I can't access my everday programs.

Can someone help me with my plug-in problem?
I have Elements 7 and recently added a slew of photo filter plug-ins that I had an another computer. When I added these filters, the drop down box that displays the filters from the top menu options, now only displays the filters alphabetically from A - D, which totally fills the drop down box. Nothing I have attempted will allow me to access my filters that start with the letters D-Z, and my favorite and most used being Topaz Adjust.
Put another way, I have way more photo filters that Elemets can/or will display in the drop down box. Is there anything I can do? Thanks kindly in advance!The email you should NOT have published, is your iCloud, not Apple ID

Can someone help me with this error 2001 problem ?
i have a problem with my iphone 4s that my doesnt work at all unless i plug it to the charger cable, and then once i plug it, it shows on the screen that the battery is 100% and i cant turn on the wifi. Once i unplug the cable the iphone turns off immedately! so i tried to restore my iphone, and then when i try to restore it, it says that there is an error called "2001".. so what should i do ?? thanks.

Can someone help me with an Itunes & Firefox problem? (Stuttering issue)
Hi,
Yesterday I updated iTunes to the latest version. Since then, whenever I listen to music in iTunes and browse the net, the track playing stutters/skips when a webpage loads or if I open a new tab.
I have tried various "solutions" already like updating my soundcard driver and setting the iTunes priority in task manager, but that didn't work at all.
I have searched the internet and have noticed that this is an old problem, yet no one seems to have an answer. Does anybody here have an update on this problem and a probable solution for me.

A return of "i am local" ensures there is no remote connection to your machine (through SSH).
In the future, to avoid remote entry, I would recommend not posting your IP address though. -

Hi, Can someone help me with my Extenal HDD???
PleaseAfter you have all of the files from the External HDD you want to save, to format the HDD:
Open Launchpad
Open Utilities
Open Disk Utility
Select Hard Drive to format (the external HDD)
If you want to change partition size or number select Partition Table
Select number of partitions and adjust sizes if more than one
Name the partitions
Select the format from the pop-up menu (use Mac OS Extended (Journaled))
If it is not already selected, select GUID Partition Table
Click OK
Click Apply
And it should do the formatting for you.
Note: giving a name may come after the format selection, I sometimes get that out of order but it will lead you through the process. -
My iphone 4S Black 16 GB with IOS 7.0.4 turns off randomly in low battery less than 15% and also when I am taking pictures from my front camera in low battery of 30%. This is happening very often. Can someone help here with advise? The phone is slightly more than 2 years bought from singapore I live in India
Either your battery is failing or your battery gauge needs to be recalibrated. Start by recalibrating:
When it shuts off charge for just a minute or two, then restart (hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears). Deliberately run the battery down until the phone shuts off at 1%. If it shuts off above 1% repeat the above until you get to 1%. Then charge for 4 hours with the wall charger without using the phone. This process will recalibrate the battery gauge.
To prevent this from happening again about once a month run the battery all the way down to 1%, then continue until the phone shuts off. Apple recommends this in their battery help article, but they don't say why you should do it. The have some hokum about "keeping the electrons moving." Honestly! The iPad battery tip gives the correct reason.
If this does not resolve the problem you most likely need a new battery. If you are near an Apple store take the phone in and they can test the battery for you. -

I'm assuming you have Photo Stream set up of both devices. However, it seems many users are experiencing the same as you - my take is that streaming photos is not foolproof yet.

The calender on my iPhone 4 with iOS 6 no longer syncs with iCal 4.0.4 on my mac OS 10.6.8. However it is syncing with my iCloud account. Can someone help me with this?
FYI: It seems it was a network problem with my WinXP PC. After complete deletion and new installation of XP and iTunes my iPhone will be recognized correctly, Wifi synchronization works (mostly) fine.

HI everybody i want to ask if you come me in help, i want to draw paths but when i use stroke options with pen or brush settings i loose quality when i zoom in , can someone help me with pen settings???
The work path is a vector object, and infinitely scalable, but when you stroke it, Photoshop lays pixels on a layer that follow the path. These pixels are raster based and can not be scaled without loosing quality. You do have options. If you want to make the raster layer bigger, transform the work path and stroke it again. Or work at a higher resolution in the first place.
Incidentally, you can't stroke a Path with the Pen, because it is a Vector based tool, and stroking is a raster based function. -
