my ipad wont turn on. its stuck on the apple logo. i already tried to hold down the power button and the home button a million times but it wont work. itunes wont recognize my ipad when i plug it in. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!! my ipad is jailbroken and it wont do anything. HELP!!!!!!
If your iPad is jailbroken then you'll need to get help elsewhere e.g. the people you got the jailbreak from - jailbroken devices aren't supported here.

Have you tried rebooting your iPad?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that does not work, you can try restoring your iPad iOS Software.

Make sure that you read the article all the way through and pay attention to the last part that talks about using recovery mode. -

Hi, I'm having trouble with my Ipad 2. I was recently playing a game and my ipad just shut off on me. Then when I turned it back on it was stuck on the Apple Logo and it won't go to the home screen at all. I plugged it in my itunes but I don't know what to do from there. I left it charged hoping the apple logo would dissappear but it didn't and now for some reason the battery is always dead. I really need help. Does anybody have any suggestions? Please.
Did you try rebooting the iPad? You will need to have some battery power for this.

It started this morning when I tried to update the Facebook app on my ipad, Now I can't even get on my ipad at all. The battery is fully charged, when I turn on the ipad all I get is the apple logo for the longest time then I have to do the reset using the menu/power button combo. 2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -

I have an unlocked 3GS and it is NOT jailbroken. It ran out of battery last night and when i charged it this morning it has got stuck on the apple logo wont do anything else. My computer doesnt pick it up either! Can somebody HELP please!!!

Hard Reset.
- Hold down the Home Button (Circle button with White Square in it)
- Wait for the 'Slide to Unlock' screen pops up
- Test to see if the issue is resolved. -

If a reset doesn't work, you will have to try and force the iPad into Recovery Mode (data will be lost)
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -
I haven't been able to find any answers that solve my problem. My Ipad will not leave the Apple logo. I hold both buttons and the screen goes black and then the Apple logo immediately pops back up. I can't get the red slider screen at all. No matter how many times I hold down both buttons the screen goes black and then the Apple logo pops right back on.
Before you do anything else, try charging via a wall outlet for a while, since its off. Then try turning it back on.
When you put the device into recovery mode it allows you to restore the device when no other options work. You do risk losing everything currently strored on the ipad itself. Hopefully you've performed regular backups either via itunes, icloud or both. Evern if you have synced content to either of those, you may not lose everything. All previous purchases have been saved in the itunes and app stores, so you can dowload them again.
while the ipad is off, press and hold the home button and plug the usb cord into the ipad. You should see a message pop up on the itunes window on your compoter screen that state it has discoverd an ipad in recovery mode.

Alvinremoving volume control doesn't work for me. please don't try. I tried because i have replaced my LCD before and it is easier for me to do so. Removing your LCD will cause whole lot more issue, such as damage to your WIFI antenna, power and volume button, LCD, and all kind of issue.
The only solution that "experts" can tell you is to restore via DFU mode and this WILL NOT solve the issue, or restore with save SHSH, which i believe most of you don't have. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME AND GET A DEVICE THAT YOU CAN REALLY "WIPE" AND "RESTORE".
So far there is no solution to fix the "Restoring IPAD firmware" or "Updating IPAD firmware". I really don't know why Apple is adding the check after IOS 7 which is causing so many issues for ipad 2. I guess the reason behind is because the warranty expire and perfect time to force ipad 2 user to buy new ipad, which I personally don't feel like much improvement. WHY WE NEED APPLE approves when restoring the device that we already paid FULL price for?????
It is ashamed that the issue caused by update or restore are not covered by warranty too. so stay away from new IOS and it will only brick your device and force you to get new device. it is opened secret that new upgrade for any device will ONLY slow down your device and force you to buy new one, especially when new IOS is not making your FLY. -
Hi all, im trying to restore my iphone 4S, however i keep getting error 1611 i have tried uninstalling itunes and everything else related, i have tried kicking the iphone out of recovery mode but then it gets stuck on the apple logo for a few seconds then changes to the low battery symbol then goes back to the apple logo and this continues untill i put it back into recovery or dfu mode, i have tried everything can anyone help me ?? thank you!
