Can someone help out - I'm completely baffled by ClearDB stuff!
Hey All!
I'm running a few Wordpress sites and need more memory for database and php execution and have been testing
Azure Web Apps for hours now….but I'm confused ;)
If I'm running an S2 at $150.00 a month - why do I have to pay ClearDB another $100? Am I understanding that correctly? I have a 6.2 GB database so it looks, to me, like I need their $99.99 a month plan. That seems a little silly to me….MySql is free…tons
of admin tools for it are free…and, reading through this forum, they sound incredibly unreliable - so what am I paying for, exactly?
I guess I'm trying to see the value here - with so many using these services I figure I must be missing something? What am I getting for $250. per month that I wouldn't get by setting up an Azure VM, standard tier A2, with WAMP or LAMP, for almost 1/2 the
cost?

Apologies for the delayed response. ClearDB is a 3rd party service, you are billed for ClearDB and that would be for the database service.

Hi, I had been having the same problem for over a week, but both my window's HP and my 2011 macbook pro barely could load youtube. What kind of router you have? I was using a belkin play router that was only 8 months old, switched to a new AirPort Extreme Base Station and now everything works perfect.

I want completely out of iCloud. Please, can someone help!
After putting it off for months I finally uprgraded to Lion and switched from Mobile Me to iCloud. Ugh!! I have been here all day just trying to get my Mac Mail right. I don't have any devices so I don't really need my stuff 'up in the cloud' anyway. I have been trying to find out how to completely close out (NOT turn off) any connection with iCloud at this point. I've been to help. I've been everywhere. It seems like you can only turn it off or delete it from your devices.
Please, can someone help me?!... isn't that just ''signing out'? I don't want my mail being 'stored' somewhere.
I understand that concern, and the answer is yes. Everything stored on Apple's servers will remain stored until you specifically delete it.
In that case, simply delete any and all email messages, contacts, etc before signing out. Empty the trash if that is applicable.
In Mail, the default account settings are as follows:
If yours are like that, your deleted messages are permanently deleted after a month, but "sent" messages stay on the server forever. You can change those settings to "immediately" if that is your preference.
As I say I undertand your concerns, just bear in mind Google Mail works exactly the same way. Even worse, some might say.
No matter what email service you use, as far as I know there is no way to be absolutely certain that copies of your emails aren't stored forever, somewhere, perhaps completely beyond your reach. In fact, US law requires it for company email... and I'm not completely certain that law does not apply to iCloud, Gmail, or even individuals.

I have heard good legal arguments to the effect that the moment you send an email, it ceases to become your "property" so any subsequent attempt to eradicate it may be futile anyway.
Sorry to go off on a tangent, but the bottom line is that permanently deleting email is more difficult than one would think, iCloud or not. -
I updated my I Phone4 with the latest version iOS7 after updating I was asked to enter I tune password etc and then was asked to accept the terms and conditions which I did......but nothing happens it stays on the same unable to complete the final stage.....my phone does not work I am stuffed can someone help.....cannot get thru to Apple I tried contacting them

Do the following, then try again:
1. Close all open apps: Double click on the Home key and then swipe up on each of the thumbnails that appear above the open app icons
2. Sign out of the iTunes store: Settings>iTunes & App Store, click on your Apple/iTunes ID, then sign out
3. Check Settings>Safari, and make sure that "Block Cookies" is not set to "Always". If it is, change it to either of the other two options
4. Make sure you do not have Restrictions turned on. If they are turned on, make sure that access is allowed for Safari, iTunes Store, Installing Apps, and Deleting Apps
5. Reset your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays sign back into iTunes and try again

I am trying to print a PDF file to a legal size paper and I would like for it to fill up the page. How do I do this? I went into the settings and changed it from letter to legal, but it's still printing out the same size. Can someone help me, please?

How do I print just 1 page out of 14 pages .
I don't see any settings on my iPod and can't find settings on the printer .

So i have an apple ipod touch 1st generation and it is not charging! It shows the charging sign but its taking a really long time to charge. Ive had it charging for at least 3 hours and it still says under 20% so can someone help me figure this out??

Hi, can someone help please - my iPhone hasn't been backed up since early August, now I can't seem to get it to back up to iCloud. I have 9GB of space, I have left it plugged in etc for 11hrs, but keep getting the same message " iPhone backup could not be completed" -what dies that mean.?

I was facing issues with both backup and FB integration after the iOs 6 upgrade. Before then I did not have any issues with the iCloud backup service, but after a few days, I noticed that it was continually stuck at the Estimating time for the backup and it never progressed.
As any good techie would, I tackled the most pressing issue first . . . FB integration of course.
I had read in a separate post about this solution so tried it . . .
I deleted the original FB app and hard booted the phone. I then went into settings and entered the data for FB integration. Seconds later, I received a text message to my phone - already listed and verified in FB with a 6 digit code to re-enter instead of my password. Seconds later I was verified and then prompted to download the FB app. All backup and integrated.
Then I went into the iCloud backup, turned it off . . . and deleted the last backup. I then re-enabled backup . . . and although I thought I was going to face the same issue, after a few minutes, it moved on from Estimating time . . . to actually backing up. It is now a small way through the backup and seems to estimate that it will take another two hours to complete.
A good nights work. Backup and integration all sewed up. Good luck.

I'm trying to clean my mailbox and when I click on delete or highlight and move to trash I get a message that says "operation could not be completed - file exists. Further, when I select a message or group of messages, one of them is copied (not deleted) to the trash folder. Can someone help me through this?
Thanks.It's a POP account. I decided to clean up my mailbox today after noticing the computer was real slow after USA Today started sending their daily top stories with new graphics. Also before I noticed the problem with mail deletion - two things happened. 1) I updated security sofware as prompted by Apple and 2) downloaded Mackeeper and went throught some preliminary scans but did not buy their package. Thanks forn nstaying with me.
