Can someone help with iWeb layout question

The layout screen seems to have me working in
dimensions that are up and down. In other words, the
layout guidelines look much like a 8X11 piece of
paper oriented portrait style. When my content gets
published, it looks the same when viewed on a
computer in which the screen is oriented more
"landscape style". The content fills about 1/2 the
screen (in the middle). I'm using a plaing back
background as the page template and looking at the
published site on a 17" screen so that may make it
worse.
Any suggestions?

If you mean you want to create "wider" pages just open inspector >click page tab and set "content width to say 1000 pix for a normal "full page"
If you mean you want to see a wider view while DESIGNING the pag simply open iweb and in the lower right hand corner drag the screen to make it wider

At the moment to the right and left of the page i just have white margins as i have set my website to a specific size.

I have saved a jpeg banner that doesnt contain the logo to have running at the top of the page and i have a plain background to run along side the content.
Im changing the footer in a few days so im not too worried about that just now.

Wow can someone help with my ram question

okay ive been looking to get some more ram for my 12'' g4 powerbook, so with that being said can someone explain what i need exactly, i have no idea what all the ddr and sdram means, so if anyone could help me with explaining stuff to me or helping me find the cheapest ram i they can i would really appriciate it. thanks

So that means you have one 256MB RAM strip in your machine now.
You want to be cautious about 'cheap' ram. Our Powerbooks are sensitive to the RAM used. Some can meet the printed Apple specs and not work. If you want to dig into the depths of why, google 'powerbook 12" bus slewing" and read the Apple developers note.
For alternatives, Kingston is at http://www.kingston.com, use their memory selector, and at the end it will give you a half dozen sources to buy from and their prices. Also check OWC at http://www.macsales.com for their Samsung memory.
You might also search the discussions for any other brands that people have found that worked.

1. Where does Contribute save the settings of a provided key?
2. Can the file(s) that contains those settings be copied
over for other users to use?

Thanks for your reply. I'm actually using the software in a
primary school and would like to use the stc key and thus the
settings it creates and save them into a profile that each pupil
user would then load up automatically. I would like to avoid them
having to enter the details each time. It appears to work as the
ntuser.dat file has been updated.

Can someone help with an iPhoto question?

My wife and I created a greeting card on iPhoto and chose to send them to Apple to print and mail to us. Well, after going through the payment screen, the upload bar began to roll. It stopped saying there was a problem with the connection. Whatever.
Bottom line: I was charged for an order (as per my online banking page) but Apple has no record of my order. Can I resubmit this order without paying or do I have to call Apple tech support?

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Yes I do have them all exported for actionscript. So if I
follow ur suggestion, I would remove all loader stuff and make it a
separate swf? And then in that swf have the same loader code as
below and can the level still be _root since thats' the level where
everything else should be loaded? Or did you mean to externally
load the main swf in an empty movie clip? thanks a lot!

The simple answer is that today PostScript really doesn't fit at all into the Graphic Design process, at least in terms of what the graphic designer needs to know.
Historically, though, the PostScript imaging model, first introduced circa 1984 provided the basis for the initial publishing software including PageMaker, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, and even Ventura Publisher. This imaging model included support for continuously scalable text, vector, and raster imagery as well as the concepts of a current transformation matrix that allowed arbitrary scaling, rotation, etc. and multiple color spaces (grayscale, RGB, CMYK, spot, device independent, and color-managed).
The PostScript imaging model was effectively replaced by the PDF imaging model, a significant superset of the PostScript imaging model, by the time Illustrator 9 and InDesign 2 were released in terms of support of ICC color management, transparency, etc.
The fact is that a good graphic designed doesn't need to know anything about PostScript or PDF per sé, but rather about the basics of color (such as issues associated with color gamut and what how that affects display and printing), use of text versus vector versus raster images and why one should keep content at the highest level of abstraction all the way to the rendering (or screen) or RIP process for printing. Some knowledge of typography also helps.

Google show that you have to cut what you want to print and then paste it into a new app and print from that app.

if you notice that it seems that there is another background
on top of the

You must put in the required information. If you do not have it, you must get it from the original owner of the phone. If you have forgotten your iCloud password, you can reset it at:

There is no such thing as an activation "bypass". Activation Lock is a security feature. It wouldn't be that secure is you could bypass it, wouldn't it?

Can someone help with auto-size fields in forms?

I created a form in Acrobat for my team members with auto-size text fields that allow to shrink the text when the field size is not large enough to show the entire text. When I then open the same form file with Adobe Reader on my machine with text that has shrunk in some field, I can see all the text and have also a scroll function when the text size has reached its lower limits and there is still more text to show.
However, when I receive the filled out forms back from other team members' iPads (they use my template created with Acrobat), the text didn't shrink as on a PC version and the scroll function is disabled. I checked the template and the fields are correctly set to auto-size left and they do work on my PC's and laptop's Adobe Reader. But the iPad version of Adobe Reader may cause some issues.
Can anybody help with solutions?

The filled version of your PDF document (20140722 Daily Meeting Report...pdf) is no longer a PDF form because it has been flattened.
Once an interactive PDF form (such as your template version) is flattened, all form fields are replaced with images of filled data. You can no longer interact with form fields, edit form data, or tap/click any buttons in the flattened PDF document. That is the reason why the text in auto-size text fields did not shrink.
When you email a PDF document (including a PDF form) in Adobe Reader for iOS, the E-mail Document dialog is displayed.
In this particular case, your team member must have selected "Share Flattened Copy".
If you would like to keep the interactivity of a PDF form, you can select "Share Original Document". Please advise your team members to select the "Share Original Document" option when emailing filled forms.
Unfortunately, once flattened, a PDF document cannot be reverted back to the original "unflattened" state. However, if your team members still have the original filled forms, they can resend the forms with the "Share Original Document" option.

Can someone help with transfer to iPod

I have several home movies that I converted to mpeg4 with Handbrake but only
one of them will transfer to my iPod. I keep getting a prompt that says it won't play on the iPod. It plays beautifully in iTunes. Can someone help?

They are QT mpeg 4. I can play them fine as a Quick Time movie or in iTunes - I just can't get them into my iPod.
