Can someone point me to an application built in Flex that is in the Apple App Store
I keep seeing videos from adobe that shows apps running on IOS devices. Im getting mixed messages about the whole process.
Forgive me if Im just missing something or have not been paying attention enough to know.. How in the world is this being deployed on a iPhone if it doesnt run flash?
Is it true or not that I will be able to submit my app to the appstore? If it is true please give me an example of it in the real world.
Im a flex developer but have pretty much thrown the whole idea of working on iPhone apps in flex because of the lack support of flash.
I dont get it; what has changed and why doesnt the rest of the world know that they can run flash on their iPhone. I feel like this would be big news.

Adobe supply an IOS packager that translates the Flex/Flash project into an IOS project equivalent. There are some restrictions. The igadget family doesn't run flash.

You can submit an app to the appstore. I'm not going to go hunting for one for you.

The iPhone doesn't run Flash. Adobe have created a packager that translates a Flash or Flex project into an IOS/Objective-C one.
The mechanism has been discussed and described all over the web.

I've done some research on the SQLite database. Whenever Aperture hangs up (like during auto-stack or opening the filter hud) there are thousands of SQLite queries happening. These SQLite queries cause massive file I/O because the database is stored on the disk as 1kb pages. However, the OS is caching the database file; mine's only 12MB. I'm trying to track down some performance numbers for SQLite on osx but having trouble.
It's starting to look like most of the speed problems are in the libraries that Aperture uses instead of the actual Aperture code. Of course, that doesn't completely let the developers off the hook since they choose to use them in the first place.

You've tried deleting and redownloading them and seeing if they then work and tried contacting the developers ? If you have and they can't/won't help then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

Many email providers allow you to send from outside their network if you set up authentication to their servers in your outgoing mail server setup. You may wish to confirm this with your email provider, but you can just try this:
1) Go to the Accounts preference in Mail
2) Select your email account
3) On the Account Information tab, locate the "Outgoing Mail Server" section and pull the menu down to "Edit SMTP Server list"
4) Select the appropriate outgoing server and go to the Advanced tab
5) In the Authentication pulldown, select "Password" and enter in your email account ID and password
6) Click all the applicable "OK" buttons to close it all up and save the information.
That may work with your email provider, or they may have additional settings needed such as "Use Security Sockets Layer (SSL)". Your provider should be able to tell you what specific settings you need if the basic user name and password don't work.

You need to contact Apple, 1-800-MY-APPLE, and order OS X Snow Leopard 1.6 and install it upon your Mac. Then download and install the 10.6.8 update combo to have a Mac App Store.

Bingo Blingo has come up with an updated version 6.2. It is not showing up in the App Store. How do I get the latest update?
Check the updates through the App Store and if there has been a revision of the app for your device you will be able to compare the app on your device. If the app has been updated and the app update is not available through the App Store, delete the app then reinstall it to see if that resolves the problem.

Why can't I download anything online? This includes everything from itunes song files,to Apps from the apple app store, to flash plugins. I am also unable to install a game on disk. This is a confusing complaint...and kind of disturbing. Perhaps you could answer a few questions:
1. How much space is left on your HD? If there weren't any available space left, it would be very difficult to boot your applications.
2. Do you back up at all? Given your situation, it might be a good time to start, given the situation. Backup drives are relatively inexpensive these days.
If this problem persists, a visit to your local Apple Store might be a good idea - but until then, please let the community here help. -
I've been searching through the various folders on my Mac Pro hard drive and cannot see where user data is stored.As an example, I deleed Skype and reloaded it and my old profile data is still available. but I cannot determine where it is stored. Can someone point me to whaere this type id data is stored
Skype and other applications as well may store all their data within their application package. Or they store their data elsewhere such as the Documents folder, as I mentioned.
There are hidden folders but they are system folders and files. There is no reason for you to ever access them.
Skype may also store all that it needs to function in its /Home/Library/Preferences/ preference folder. The storage of any other produced data is located wherever the user designates.
iPhoto stores your photos in the iPhoto Library which is found in your /Home/Pictures/ folder.
